‘Spread the Wealth’: Blogger Offers $10,000 Bounty for Obama’s College Transcripts

Brooks Bayne Offers $10,000 for Barack Obamas College Transcripts

Conservative blogger Brooks Bayne is looking to shed some sunlight on President Barack Obama’s past academic record. Bayne says he is part of a group of eight individuals who have offered up a $10,000 bounty in exchange for authentic copies of Obama’s transcripts from any of his past universities – Occidental College, Harvard University or Columbia University.

The initial call for the college records was announced on a web site — TheTrenches.us — and did not state Bayne’s name (nor did it mention the others who are joining him in this unique initiative). After proclaiming that the media have failed at properly vetting Obama, the official announcement for the effort offers up the financial incentive for accurate records. The web site reads:

You’ve failed, media.

You’ve had over three years to vet President Barack Obama. Yet in three years in office and over a year of campaigning beforehand, you have either been oddly uninterested or purposefully ignorant of Barack Obama’s educational history. You were, however, quite interested in George Bush’s transcripts.

This uncharacteristic absence of curiosity about an American president alarms us. At $15 trillion, our nation’s debt is the highest it has ever been – and it keeps growing. We’re not convinced that Barack is as smart as you media elitists keep insisting he is.

We therefore offer in reward $10,000 to anyone who provides the college transcripts of President Barack Obama. Occidental, Harvard, Columbia…any would represent more intellectual curiosity about the leader of the free world than the media has demonstrated since Obama won the Democrat primary.

Then, an e-mail address is offered for those who wish to submit Obama’s transcripts and individuals are encouraged to “‘spread the wealth around’ to vet the prez.” Following the site’s publication, Bayne came out of the shadows this week.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, he admitted that he’s the individual behind the originally-anonymous web site and that some of the people joining him in advancing it are “recognizable” figures (although he didn’t name any of them).

“We are doing this because we are tired of the media not doing their job. We are tired of the PR propaganda coming out of places like Media Matters, and we are tired of this administration stonewalling over things like Fast and Furious,” Bayne told TheDC. “We are tired of a lot of things.”

Bayne said that his team will be assembling the money needed for the reward and insisted that anyone with viable copies would be compensated. Obama, he said, is not eligible to participate, although he encouraged the president to willingly release his records.

Additionally, the blogger confirmed that neither Republican Mitt Romney nor his campaign have anything at all to do with the transcript-procurement mission. Furthermore, he maintained that no “shadow groups” or “beltway douche-bag groups” are assisting in the measure. This effort, Bayne maintains, is purely organic and citizen-driven, as it seeks to find the truth about the president’s academic background.

“All we have heard from the media is how much smarter Barack is than all the other candidates,” Bayne said, going on to claim that Obama’s coursework may serve as the basis for his “hardcore leftist-slash-progressive-slash-neo-marxist point of view.”

Bayne, like many others, believes the president may be hiding something, academically-speaking, by continuing to withhold his college records.

    Any media outlet can choose to ignore Obama’s college history, just don’t call yourselves journalists.

      It really is to bad that they have ignored this. His records would answer some key questions, such as his birth place. There is a reason why these records are being hidden. If we did find out that his birth place was Kenya what could we do about it? Would we do anything about it?

      What difference do his grades make? Harvard grades on a curve for “protected classes” of citizens. Its admissions have different standards and the grading system itself is one based on individual effort. Not precise set standards or metrics for achievement.

      As long as his “professor” believed he was passionate, committed and “doing his best” he would get academic recognition (passing grades). It’s a subjective system.

      Government employees have to submit their official college transcripts in order to get hired for “professional” positions why should elected officials be any different? It seems in the case of the office of the President transparency is even more critical. If you want to become President an lead the nation nothing should be hidden in the shadows. We actually know very little about President Obama. During the campaign he promised that if he were elected he would make the Presidency and his administration completely transparent but he has not fulfilled this promise.

      There are no transcripts…

      He did not really enroll in any courses at Harvard and that is why no one was ever in any of his classes. His entire life at Harvard was created. He was the editor of the Harvard Law Review but never wrote anything. He never took any Bar Exam. He never filed a deposition in any case. When he speaks about the law its in generalities and usually wrong. He does not sound like anyone who went to law school. His Presidency is the greatest act of Treason in the history of the Earth.

      That 10,000 will never have to be paid out.

      I found it interesting that his grandmother died just days before he was elected, so I went to a page that had a timeline of important events, and compared them with the deaths of influential people in his life. You should research it, it’s very interesting the coincidental deaths and major events. What I found interesting (and this was a site that was pro-Obama) was that he was accepted into Harvard 4 years before he actually started classes. Who waits 4 years to attend college after being accepted? He had rich grandparents who could afford to send him, why the wait?

      If according to the offering site, this site and clearly most of the commenters here Obama’s record is so bad. Then why would there be continued need to focus on his birth certificate and college transcripts. Perhaps there is some concern about the vetting of Romney or whether he will make a career ending decision relative to his VP choice, like McCain did. The only chance Romney has attracting the independent vote is a continued bad economy. Which of course the Republicans and their supporters will do their best at delivering.

      Wayne Allan Root who ran for VP of the United States on the Libertarian Ticket in 2008 and is a frequent guest on Hannity, Beck etc. went to Columbia with President Obama and was in his same graduation class (I think 1983). He has said on many occasions that he didn’t like him, thought he was very arrogant, did not like his politics but never quedstioned his intellegence.

      There is no reason whatsoever to ask for his grades. They are totally irrelevent. Besides No one has ever asked for a Presidents grades before. I suspect they were pretty good, whether you like him or not he is very intellegent. If his grades were bad you would criticize him, if they were good you would say they were forged.

As his employer, we have a right to verify his resume to ensure he is qualified to hold the position. That is the way it works in every other occupation.       BARBER…for someone like Obama who loves to brag, preen and show off, his hiding his college records is very unsual behaviour. We’ve already seen that his fellow lefty Elizabeth Warren-the democrat challanger to Scott Brown in MA- told her university that she was part Cherokee to get minority preference to enter the univsersity…a whole 1/32 part-cherokee no less. I wouldn‘t put it past a creep like Barack Hussein Obama to pretend he’s a foreign student to gain entry into a university. My hunch though is that his writings and record will betray that he was then what we know him to be now…a do-nothing, leftist who’s nowhere near as smart as his fawning media have been telling us he is. Have you seen any articles published by Barack Obama as editor of the Harvard Law Review? No…in fact no one has them.

    Obviously he (THEY!) is/are hiding SOMETHING, and it’s obviously not something good!

    We can only surmise what MIGHT be the reason……
    - bad grades or non-attendance with affirmative action allowing or covering for it??
    - somebody impersonating him and taking the classes in his name??
    - a thesis or 2 (probably many more) supporting anti-Americanism and/or communism??
    - bribery of high college officials to cover up the crime of awarding him a fraudulent degree??

    Why have no classmates come forward to talk about him, whether positively or negatively?? Who goes through college days without leaving some kind of trail of clubs, affiliations, friends, — and most of all — official records and transcripts?????? The answer is NO ONE except Obama. Oddly, though, he (oh, I’m sure!) wrote a couple of books about himself…….

      Someone has. Occidental College surrendered his college transcripts to a California court by court order. It seems he went to school there on a scholarship and the only way any student could get this scholarship was if he was a foreign student. Mr. Soetero picked Indonesia. In 1981 he was traveling around the world, one stop was Pakistan, which he could not have gotten into with a US passport, so most likely it was Indonesian. How did he become a “natural born citizen” between 1981 and 2008? His SSN was originally issued to a Frenchman in Connecticut who died in Hawaii, with Mr. Soetero’s grandmother having access to records. No claims were ever made against the card so no questions were asked. Convenient don’t you think.

    I sincerely hope that Romney uses this against Obeyme in the campaign. Romney’s grade transcripts, I am guessing, are available for scrutiny. He should demand, as we all should demand, that Obeyme produce his transcripts and if he refuses, demand to know why. We all know Obeyme is hiding them, but we want / need to know WHY! The liberal media are truly disgusting in their favoritism treatment of this stranger with no proof of college attendance.     Obama’s academic prowess is a facade. People would question why an affirmative action recipient is President. There are other people who are better qualified for the office of President. They are black & they are as qualified than Gingrich or Santorum. They are not however darlings of the left. So the left scrounged up Obama.

    If there is a person who could really accomplish this task, it would be an open bidding market, not a paltry $10K. Let’s hope there is a accomplished “researcher” (by hook or crook) who can get the job done.

    Didn’t some young people in Iowa have some of his school records? I think they were tried for something.

    I would like to know who paid for his schooling. He claims to come from modest means. Occidental is not cheap.

    Also, did affirmative action standards play into his admissions and grades?

      From what I have read, it was Bill Ayers parents who paid for his college. A retired mail carrier was interviewed recently who delivered mail to their house. He recalls a “ young african american ” there alot, who he thinks was none other than Obummer. He spoke to him a few times. The young man ( presumably BHO ) told him he was a foreign exchange student and the Ayers were paying his college.

      He went to Occidental as a foreign student;therefore, the tax-payers paid for his time at Occidental. That(being a foreign student) makes him ineligible to be president

    It only makes sense. Why would Obeyme hide his college transcripts? There is an answer to that question, but only Obeyme knows what it is. But there is also a reason, and THAT is what needs revealing. Why?….it is a very legitimate question, especially when we are talking about the office of the Presidency. And just exactly why Voter I.D. laws make perfect sense, so does the vetting of anyone who wishes to become the President of the United States. Liberals refuse to utilize common sense just like they refuse to operate under a budget. The disgusting senate thinks that budgets are simply a restraining order on spending, and they are correct. They need restraining, and the president needs to be honest with the citizens about ‘who’ he is and all about his background, which includes his college grade transcripts. The media went nuts over Bush’s grade transcripts, but not Obeyme’s. Why? Why?…..answer the question please. I hope someone gets that $10,000 reward, and is NOT harrassed by Obeyme’s people.

    Five minutes after Rick Perry announced for President, his grades from Texas A&M were being trumpeted all over the internet and “used” by media to snark about his qualifications based on his grades. Why, indeed, are Obama’s academic credentials “off limits” to public scrutiny?

    I dont think anyone will be collecting that money anytime soon. I dont believe odumbass went to college,thats the reason there are no transscripts.Secondly, why has there never been an interview with any “friend” of his from college? This buttwipe is a fake,created in bill ayers’ livingroom.Nothing about odumbass is real,except for the fact he is a “islamocommie” (a term stolen from a fellow blazer, whos name escapes me) puppet, controlled by soros…..

    If you doubt the truth in this story…..Ask yourself, “what was George W Bush’s college GPA”? He was called “dumb” his entire 8 years because of this (Average GPA was a C)! I even remember John Kerry’s GPA which was a D!! But, John Kerry was considered much smarter because he got his “wealth” the old fashion way, by marrying it!!! Throw this dirtbag OUT of the People’s House!!!!

    The question really should be; why is Obama the first American president to not make his college transcripts to have not made his college transcripts available to the public?
    After all, isn‘t he ’the smartest president ever to assume office”?
    What will Brian Williams, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Chris Matthews and company report when we eventually find out that Obama, on two ivy league scholarships, was graded on an affirmative action curve?
    And George Bush aced him.
