Startling Anti-Semitic Rally in Canada: Jews Are ‘Racist, Inhuman and Barbaric’

Torontos Al Quds Day Allegedly Targets Jews, IsraelThe Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), a collaborative group comprised of Jewish organizations in Canada, has released a startling three-minute video clip of what appears to be an anti-Israel protest.

The rally, which took place on August 28 at Queens Park in Toronto, has ignited fear and debate surrounding radical Islam and its infusion into Western society. IsraelNationalNews.com describes the event, which was called Al-Quds Day:

Al-Quds Day has been marked since 1979, as decided by Ayatollah Khomeini and the Iranian government, on the last Friday of the Ramadan month in order to express the support of Iran and the Muslim world of Palestinians Authority Arabs and “the liberation of Jerusalem,” to discredit Israel and call for its destruction, and to defy the United States and other western powers.

The event, which included a multitude of anti-Israeli rhetoric, occurs in cities across the world each year. YNetNews reports that the Toronto version included speakers who called Israel a “cancer” and who accused the Middle Eastern country of being involved “wherever we see injustice happening.”

Torontos Al Quds Day Allegedly Targets Jews, IsraelAdditionally, Israelis were purportedly called “racists” and “barbarians,” among other names. At one point in the clip, it appears that some protestors are waving Hezbollah – widely regarded as a terror group — flags.

For example, Zafar Bangash, president of the Islamic Society of York Region said, “Zionism is racism,” and claimed that Zionists are “racist, inhuman and barbaric.” These were tough words for such a prominent faith leader.

“Allah willing, I see that day when we, the Muslims, will march on Palestine and liberate Palestine for all the people in the world,” he continued. “For the Jewish people, for the Christian people and for the Muslim people, and under Islamic law they will all be living as equal citizens.”

Maulana Asad Jafri, who also spoke at the event, said that “the Zionist regime sucks the resources, the blood and everything that belongs to people all across the world in order to fulfill its personal needs.”

Another speaker, Karin Brothers, sparked controversy for her participation in the event. Brothers, a representative of the United Church of Canada (a Christian denomination), had nothing but kind words for the participants. The video shows her proudly proclaiming, “We are blessed here in Toronto with the most dedicated peace activists who represent many faiths and cultures.”

The event was purportedly sponsored by CASMO, the Canadian Shia Muslims Organization. Below, watch the CIJA clip that documents these words:

CIJA‘s communications director Steve McDonald appeared on Canada’s Sun News Network, where he addressed the gathering. Watch his comments below:

Tarek Fatah, the president of the Muslim Canadian Congress, has come out against Toronto’s Al-Quds Day. You may recall Fatah from his warning about the Muslim Brotherhood’s alleged influence on the White House (The Blaze covered that speech last month).

During an interview with Sun Media, he called on Muslims to denounce the rally’s participants. He also encouraged adherents to tell the event’s speakers that they should return to their homelands if they want to live under Islamic law:

Some will likely be startled to hear such inflammatory language being uttered in a Westernized society like Canada. The Blaze, equally surprised to see the footage, reached out to CIJA to confirm the accuracy of the video.

After viewing pieces of the raw footage, we can confirm that radical statements were, indeed, made at this event. The confirmation from individuals like Fatah further corroborates the notion.

    We had all better wake up and send the Muslims back to their respective countries. This is going to do nothing but get worse as time goes by. They either have to leave their Islamic roots behind or go back. I don’t want to wait until they get 10 to 12 million over here and start their bull crap over here. Best just to send them all back.     I still believe the best solution is to drop a neutron bomb on Jerusalem.

    The radiation will prohibit ANYONE from living there for tens of thousands of years & remove all need to fight over it saving tens of thousands of lives in the long run.

    The key is you give a 30 evacuation notice allowing everyone who wants to live to leave.

    People could still visit & pray there but only for limited a short period so as to not absorb a lethal level of radiation. In the end no one is happy but everyone wins.

      Wrong — it’s 72 hrs w/a neutron bomb. That was its “selling point” – does not flatten buildings except where it lands, kills all living things, but becomes radiation-neutral in 72 hrs. If you want to do anything with Jerusalem, evict the Muslims from the Temple Mount, evict all Muslims from all of Jerusalem. If you want to nuke something, nuke Mecca. Make it literally impossible for Muslims to make their so-called pilgrimage to Mecca without becoming radioactive.       I did so more research & you are correct the neutron bomb has a relatively short half life (12.32 years from what I found) so we’d have to drop one every few years but still a worthy endeavor … & actually George H.W. Bush had the last of ours (the W70 Mod 3) dismantled in 1996.

      Queens Park I believe is downtown .. not in the Jewish section of the city…. My mother was raised in the Jewish section of Toronto even though our family was not Jewish. She said it was the safest and nicest neighborhood they ever lived in. Toronto has many ethnic areas like many major cities .. for Chinese food you go to Chinatown .. etc. Sad that one group (radical Muslims) is spreading such hate .. and speaking of such ..     In Montreal, at one particular intersection in the downtown area, you can sometimes see a group of Jews holding up Isreali flags on one corner while, on the other corner, there are a group of palestinians. I think the Jews showed up to refute the palestinians. One time, a palestinian made a comment to me & I said “Sorry, I’m with them”. He was not pleased but I’ve always stood with Israel, so I didn’t care. And the Jews are always better behaved than the palestinians – who seem to get in your face.

      @Erabin — how much do you understand about islam and how it’s propagated? You seem to ignore it’s violent past and present in an attempt to equate islam w/other religions.

      There is a deep core of political autocracy in islam that is simply not present in any other religion. Islam demands to be front and center of ALL of life, not merely an aspect of life. It’s ethic is like metastatic cancer — once given a foothold, it takes over the host and kills it. This is its textbook form. Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism, et al., do not demand the adherent to kill others in order to fulfill the law of the given religion. Islam demands the extermination of polytheists first, People of the Book next, and finally any unorthodox muslim. If you can’t get your hands on #1, then kill what you can. This is played out in the unremitting warfare between Sunni and Shia.

    There are a ‘rare’ few, a handful of muslim people that actually love America (Canada/USA) and the values, freedoms but most importantly, the Liberty which we stand for, but as for the others, GET THEM THE HELL OUT OF AMERICA!!

      Our immigration laws changed in the late 1960s. Until we change these quotas, we are doomed. It has been predicted that there will be enough Muslims in America to elect a Muslim president in twenty years. Our religious tolerance is a good thing, but we must exercise common sense along with it.

      To “ship them all back where they came from”: I saw a video of an anti-Islam demonstration recently. One person from the crowd screamed the same thing about shipping them all back. Speaking to the reporter, a Muslim man said “I do not understand these people. I was born not five miles from here.”

      So where should we send them? Back where they came from as in America?

      Erabin, what must be done is outlaw 100% all sharia in any form no matter how small, then, automatically and permanently close any mosque that is shown to be preaching jihad or sharia, then deport any Muslim involved in those mosques who were not born here, if born here pay them cash money to leave, whatever it takes. If they insist on staying they will know that there is ZERO chance of them ever having any sharia or growth of Islam in America.

      Glenn told us about the nine worst people in the world, those people who did more than anyone else to destroy you and the rest of the world. Of those nine people, eight were jews. . Given the percentage of jews in the world, which is about 0.3%, statisticians would say being a jew was without a doubt a major factor in his selection. The odds of him putting eight jews on his selection of the nine worst people in the world, if being jew was not a factor, is zero, or as close to zero as you can get without calculus. Could be a lot of those books he promoted on FOX affected him.

      But I don’t believe that. Once he got word that his gig with FOX was up he declared openly his allegiance to jews. Who cares if 90% of the world’s most evil people are jews? The rest of them are OK. Glenn says that too.

      George Soros is a Jew, and he is the worst in the world. Guess how much money he made off of all those dead Jews he stole from in 1944. Did you ever think about how a poor boy like George, who helped take the wealth from the Jews before they were sent to the gas chamber became so rich. He and his Father worked for the Nazi‘s in the 40’s and he becomes one of the richest men in the world.
      Where did he get his start up money? Maybe from Dead Jews.
      So before you start bashing Glenn, maybe you should ask real question about where people’s wealth comes from.

      Glenn Beck‘s description of George Soros’ actions during the Holocaust is completely inappropriate, offensive and over the top. For a political commentator or entertainer to have the audacity to say – inaccurately – that there’s a Jewish boy sending Jews to death camps, as part of a broader assault on Mr. Soros, that’s horrific.

      While I, too, may disagree with many of Soros’ views and analysis on the issues, to bring in this kind of innuendo about his past is unacceptable. To hold a young boy responsible for what was going on around him during the Holocaust as part of a larger effort to denigrate the man is repugnant.

      The Holocaust was a horrific time, and many people had to make excruciating choices to ensure their survival. George Soros has been forthright about his childhood experiences and his family’s history, and there the matter should rest.

      Sorry, jews don‘t much go along with your and Glenn’s repugnant ideas.

      Your right in that Glenn is pandering now to Jews for financial reasons, to sell more memberships to his internet tv gig! He examined the demographics of his viewers and exploited it!!! I was fooled bc I though Glenn was sincere! Glenn is very smart and talented, much more than Hannity, Levin and O’Reilly, showed us some interesting things and is right about, that God is the only way out!!! But Foxman is the equivalent to Sharpton or Jackson and does more harm to Jews than he helps just like Sharpton and Jackson!!! Soros is just evil!!!

She did it all out of love of God, didn’t need exposure and could fit everything she owned in a small suitcase bc it was from the heart! I knew Glenn was fake when he wrote his buddy Huntsman a check for his charity on tv! When I write a check or do something charitable no one knows about it!
