“I happen to think we are exceptional,” Michael Steele said Monday evening as he announced his intention to run for another term as RNC chairman.
“We have too much work to do,” he noted while stressing the differences between his views and those of President Obama, outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Posted on December 14, 2010 at 5:36amAffirmative action lives in the Republican Party. There is a reason Rush and Glen have such a large strong following, I mean had anyone even herd of this guy before Obama? Let’s see the democrats have a black guy we need one too. Is pretty much how the meeting went.
Until the republic get back to the core values of less government in our daily life’s and a balanced budget. It’s going to be the same old song and dance
The up swing is we will see if the Tea party was for real or not if the put up with the republican same old song and dance

He has ruffled too many GOP feathers AND spent too much money on un needed stuff.
he’s gone,he just doesn’t know it yet!
Another RINO that is clueless on what 2 Nov was about.

Posted on December 14, 2010 at 1:17amHERE IS WHAT I CALL THE DIRTY LITTLE SECRET
I know lots of folks who have donated to the Republican Party but no more. Now what they do instead is donate to the CONSERVATIVE candidate of their choice directly, without the money being filtered through the party. The Republican leadership knows this and until they get a true conservative heading the party the process will continue.
I have at least a half dozen friends that every time they get the request for money, send it back with no money and a note that until they have true conservative leadership their wallets are closed and their mouths are open supporting the conservative candidates.

Posted on December 14, 2010 at 1:49amGood point. I am trying to get the party to listen, but if they will not, by all means, send money to the candidate that best represents your values.

Posted on December 13, 2010 at 11:40pmIt does not matter what his political leanings are. His job is to raise money. Period. He is not the leader of the party. The question is, can he bring home the bacon? Can anyone else do better? And you Libertarians who have an opinion on this are welcome to join the party. We have earned a seat at the table.

Posted on December 13, 2010 at 11:14pmGood luck to you Michael, thanks for helping to make it possible to win the majority back in the house, and gaining the seats we did in the senate. Thank you for your support of O’donnell in DE when the rest of the cocktail party turned their backs. Posted on December 13, 2010 at 10:52pmSarah Palin Sucks.
She couldn’t even cut it as Alsaka State Governor without quitting…
She’s effectively co-opted the Tea Party…
Even though Ron Paul really started the grassroots movement…
I wouldn’t ever vote for Palin.
She’s a progressive puppet who campaigned with progressive Mccain, even after they used her like a prophylactic and tossed her aside when they were done.
I’d vote for Chris Christie or Ron Paul…

But Palin has brought much energy and invigoration to the right. She needs to be put in a place where she doesn’t want to be in order to prove herself.

My fellow americans, don’t support this woman without proof and evidence of action.
All of SINISTA MACE’s points are valid.
Palin needs to cut her chops in real politics and not on reality tv.

but the “cult of palin” wont die until it is put to the test.
Palin needs to enter the meat grinder of national and international politics in some way that doesn’t involve book signings (of books that are trite) and screeeeeecking moronic speeeeeeeches.
she is tone-deaf to any ideas except her own.
This is how she can prove herself.

Posted on December 14, 2010 at 12:05amLet’s get the facts strait about Ms. Sarah…
Sarah quit being governor of Alaska because of all the frivolous lawsuits against her. See, the State of Alaska does not pay for these lawsuits. Remaining as governor would have put placed her family in financial ruin just trying to defend these lawsuits. It is my understanding that this is the reason she resigned as Governor of Alaska. This is what the “Lame Stream Media” (thank you Mr. Goldberg of FNC), will not tell you. They would like to have everyone believe that Ms. Sarah is a “quitter” when nothing could be further from the truth.
I don’t think Ms. Sarah is a “quitter” by any stretch of the imagination. If people will take the time to actually research the circumstances behind her resignation as Governor, they would much likely draw a different conclusion.
Personally, I don’t know if Governor Palin is quite “Presidential Material” yet, however, this may change by 2012. Sorry, I just do not have clairvoyance to see that far into the future. Whatever she decides to, I pray that it will be the right one for her and her family.

you make a great point. WF Buckley’s wit and insight is so needed.
But Palin and the teaparties anti-intellecualism is setting the stage for 2012
I think the left is far more anti-intellecual than the right, which is so much more insane…..

I know that I would have quit the governor’s office if I were to be sued with a barrage of frivolous lawsuits from leftists that the state would not pay for. She trusted Katie Couric and shouldn’t have. She supported McCain’s re-election and shouldn’t have. As a Tea Partier, I know that she has not “co-opted” the Tea Party. The election won’t be for another 2 years. Watch what develops and keep your mind open.

Posted on December 14, 2010 at 11:50amagreed. you believe she quit to save alaskans money? you are a fool. she quit for more money and fame. besides the quitting… i want a thinker. she’s not a smart woman, she went to 5 colleges to get a lousy journalism degree? her experience before that is sportscaster, and mayor of a small hillbilly town. She has a great personality, but I think we can do better. Believe me, dems are praying that she runs against obama, licking their chops over it. We need to have a real leader.
