If these people have been voting, it’s no wonder we got such a poor excuse for a president. Perhaps, if they could read, they might have asked to have borrowed the teleprompter. Though, I doubt they’d have sounded anything close to intelligent.

Meh, there’s a bazillion videos of Tea partiers, Liberals, Republicans and Democrats uttering uneducated stuff like that (or worse). The reason is simple: It‘s just more entertaining to see the people that can’t find Florida on a map or think the moon is bigger than the sun than showing the people who answer most/all questions correctly and intelligently.

Its not that they don’t know how to read or listen. It’s actually basic brain function, when we read or listen we usually know the word (or assume we do) before we actually finish reading it or it is finished being spoken. As another commenter has said “people hear what they want to hear” and the same could be said for reading as evidenced by the lady in the video who said “ I thought you said Kenyan”. Ultimately what you saw was not ignorance but instead ego stroking gone horribly wrong, these people saw and heard something they could easily dispute and in doing so belittle the messenger thus inflating their sense of self worth. Although, there is not much that can be said in defense of the young group of kids other than a combination of ignorance and pharmaceutical interference.

Well, perhaps they should learn. Keynesian economics, especially in this state of debt, is a death sentence. Obama hired a “Green Keynesian” for the Green Jobs Czar position. The left didn’t catch that, or the fact that he’s a laundered communist.

If the left is so smart, why don’t they know the difference between “Kenyan” and “Keynesian”? Their signs sure imply they are intellectual superiors… so what’s the deal? It couldn’t be that they are in fact delusional, conceited children who have been patted on the head for everything they’ve done their entire lives, could it?

We need a forum for live DEBATE between liberals and conservatives… why not start with Stewart and Beck? We need to pit these two audiences against each other, to get this over with. Sign the (hopeless, admittedly) petition:

I think I also remember another time when they circulated a petition to ban womans’ suffrage, and girls were signing it, enthusiastically. It never fails to amaze how many …s are out there.

Yes, Obama is a Keynesian. No, Obama is not a Kenyan, he was born in Hawaii and is a citizen by Jus Soli and Jus Sanguinous. And had this videographer asked the same question at Beckfest, he would have gotten as many or more ignorant answers from Teapottiers, because Americans can be pretty ignorant of politics and economics.

To some degree you’re right, of course. Most folks attending Beck’s rallies are not economists. Most can’t even balance their checkbooks. However, unlike the crowd at the Stewart/Colbert rally, I’d bet a large number WOULD have known what the question was. People who watch Glenn regularly have at least been exposed to the term and know that it’s an economic philosophy, even if they can’t describe its tenets.

It’s a sneaky play on words, granted. Even those familiar with the term probably can’t spell it.

That’s some funny stuff. You can rest assured that if Comedy Central had sent a reporter to a Tea Party rally and asked the most illiterate looking people in the crowd if Obama is a Keynesian, they would be playing non-stop loops of those stupid Tea Baggers who insist that Obama is a Keynesian and not an America. At any rate, I studied Keynes in undergrad school and didn’t have a clue as to what he was talking about, so I just regurgitated the crap that was put in front of me in order to get good grades in macroeconomics. Now that I’ve been a tax payer in the business world for a while, I understand exactly what Keynes was talking about – I wish I hadn’t been so ignorant at the time, because I would have told my professor that he and Keynes were full of crap.

Observing and admiring the Nazi economic program, Keynes wrote in the foreword to the German edition to the General Theory (1936):

“[T]he theory of output as a whole, which is what the following book purports to provide, is much more easily adapted to the conditions of a totalitarian state, than is the theory of production and distribution of a given output produced under the conditions of free competition and a large measure of laissez-faire.” – John Maynard Keynes

And we wonder why we have $14 trillion in national debt and $110 trillion in unfunded liabilities….

Too many liberals are hilariously sad– not oxymoronic; simply moronic.

Keynesian economics never has worked, it isn’t working now and never WILL will work. Any economics recoveries in the past were made in SPITE of this destructive theory, not because of it.

I’ve thought of a great way to stop Keynesian economics from ever being taken seriously again.

Economics professors and politicians will be allowed to talk about Keynesian economics, however, when they do, they must be dressed as in full clown gear: full face paint, wearing big floppy shoes, accompanied by a small pink poodle wearing a dunce hat with a bell on top.

In the background, the Barnum & Bailey circus song must be playing at all times and people in the audience with a clear and sound understanding of real economics get to honk big bulb horns when the professor or politician says something really dumb about Keynesian economics…. about every other sentence..

      For example:
Econ Prof: Today, I’d like to talk about the efficacy (Toot, WANKA, AAUUGA!!) of Pump Priming (toot, WANKA, WANKA) measures and their positive stimulus effects (AUUGA, WANKA, WANKA. TOOT, TOOT) on the money supply and the velocity of money (Toot, Toot, AAUUGA, WANKA)….

Anyway, this terrible economic theory has got to go. It’s destroying lives and economies around the globe. This idea would be a good start.,,,
