‘Stop Demonizing Socialism’: Obamacare Supporters Demand ‘Free’ Healthcare After Supreme Court Ruling

Obamacare supporters demand free healthcare

Much has been made of the Supreme Court ruling on healthcare last Thursday, and for good reason.  The ruling was historic not only in it’s precedent-setting but also in it’s confounding application. The media world exploded with analysts and experts hypothesizing what the obtuse SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the United States) decision will mean for every aspect of American life  into the future.

The Blaze was there on the steps of the court when the ruling came down. While we will leave the hyperbole to the pundits, we did have one question that needed answering:

“What does the Left really want out of healthcare?”

So we followed up with the multitude of progressive protesters that showed up that morning on the steps of the court.  As they marched in a circle with custom signs we asked them:

“Why do you support Obamacare?”

“Do you think healthcare should be free?”

      So free healthcare should be a right. That means doctors should work for free and then they should not have to pay for college, and of course colleges should not have to pay their teachers, and those that teach at college should not have to pay for groceries, and grocery stores then should not pay their workers because they aren’t making any money. Do you stupid socialists see where this is going?

      Unfortunately Gold Coin …..socialists can‘t get the picture because their brains won’t compute simple math. And the Brits are probably the worst at getting it. One young man was asked one day about a new government program and why it should be offered to the public. He said he was definitely going to sign up for it because it was a ‘free’ program. The interviewer then asked him what he meant by ‘free’, and the guy replied that it was just, ‘free’ ….it didn’t cost anything because the government paid for it.
      He was then asked, well where did he think the government got the money from to offer the program and he just looked really dumb and said he didn’t know…..they just got it. When the interviewer finally explained to him that the government used tax payer’s money to operate and without those taxes there would be no government anything. The guy apparently still looked confused and said …well they always get taxes don’t they? See what I mean….dense from the word go.
      Now if we can assign that sort of thinking to the Leftists, then we can understand why they just don’t get it. Their brains won’t compute.
      As Margaret Thatcher once said: “The problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money.”

And what are doctor’s going to do, they don’t work for free, what about their loans, why be a doctor if your getting nothing, will they have to be a doctor in the service to the nation for 20 year‘s to have their loan’s forgiven? He said he found as a Christian he was mostly leaning towards Bush, but liked what Kerry said about making college “free” for everyone.       I am not sure how to go about organizing an effort to get legislation on all the ballots of all 50 states. If someone reading this does, lets me know and I will get to work. We should amend the constitution so that the acceptance of Food Stamps, more than 6 months of unemployment, and other long term forms of government aid makes a person ineligible to vote. A person must be entitlement free for at least 6 months in any year to be eligible to vote. They should in effect exchange their right to vote for their entitlements. This would stop the progressives from handing out our money to buy votes and keep government programs small and effective and put the incentive on creating productive citizens who are eligible to vote rather than on unproductive citizenry whose votes are purchased with other peoples money.

      VoteBush- Healthcare IS for profit! I wouldn‘t want to become a doctor knowing I’d make the same wage as a teacher but with more hours. Who would want to do that? Besides these doctors go to school for a long time and have a lot of student debt. If you make healthcare government run then there is no incentive to want to go into that profession (how will one pay off those loans for a doctorate degree on a teacher salary?). Making money is not a bad thing, if you’re in a legal profession. You think all they want to do is to profit from you being sick but that’s far from it. There used to be a time when the government healthcare would pay for most of the bill but the patient still had to pay say 20% Well then people got to where they wouldn’t pay that 20% so in order to cover them completely the government stepped in and told doctors, you can’t do this, can’t do that, can’t run a test for this, in other words rationed it. Now we’re going to put some 17 million more people into this system and you think quality care is going to improve? But because of the government intervention that’s why prices have gone up! Get the government out of the healthcare business let the private industry take over and I guarantee the prices will go down. Keep a safety net for those who really do truly need it, not for lazy people.

    My brother succomed to cancer in England in 2010 mainly because his ailment was misdiagnosed twice. By the time they got around to the correct diagnosis more than a year after the first, the cancer had metastacized.
    He did not have kind words for the system of health care delivery in the U.K. and said system has been royally panned by all my relatives there.

      RIGHTRACK7, I am so sorry about your brother. People just do not realize what this bill actually means for American citizens. There are so many things hidden in this bill. I am very concerned and frightened by it. I am also worried that we have so many people here who would so gladly welcome socialism because they so mistakenly believe that everything would be free. I am shocked and sad that we have folks with this mentality that would jump at the chance to sacrifice our freedoms and eliminate our constitution. This is more proof to me that those who consistantly are given free handouts have no concern for those of us who work and pay taxes for their free ride. They have no concept of the value of a dollar or what it takes to earn it. There are people that deserve help and government assistance but the many that abuse the system ruin it for those truely in need. Nothing is free, everything has a price.       I work with people from all over the world those that are conservative say there are problems and those that are liberals would die first before they admitted any problems. I did have family that lived in Canada they liked the system for the most part but all their serious surgeries were done in the US. There is good and bad in both. But the Canadian system seems be in the news alot for corruption losing the peoples money. Not alot of accountability to the people how their money is spent. IF the socialist system is so great then why lie about the taxes,the death panels,the IRS sceening your checking account (healthcare law) etc. the government is already having problems paying hospitals and nursing homes now taking 6 months or greater to pay. I guess we will see if the Chinese can afford to pay for our healthcare. Is it me why can’t people see we are already in trouble now if we have to borrow to keep the system going? And now we are going to expand it and make it bigger? Does not make sense. Funny check out business insider story from WHO the top 37 countries for healthcare. The top for health care are all in trouble financially (greece,spain,france etc). Does not seem like a sustainable solution for healthcare needs does it?

      Socialized medicine, (even if it was free) will have it’s drawbacks. You will not be able to just drop in to any E.R. when you have a headache. If you have a serious ailment, your name will be put on a list to see a doctor because doctors are going to be leaving the profession as fast as they can. There will be less specialists as Obamacare wants to limit what they can charge. Last, but not least, welfare & Medicaid people, which will be about 50% of our population will get free healthcare. The rest will pay. Oh, and by the way, Muslims will be exempt because their religion prohibits them from paying anything other than payroll and sales tax. It is in the bill!!!! Old people will be denied any type of long term medical care, and I’m not speaking of nursing homes. I mean diseases or just old age.

    “FREE RIDERS” much? I so resent Pelousy calling me that! Imagine, for working hard, PAYING taxes and taking care of MY own medical cost the way I want I will now be demonized and called NAMES? Please. Obama told me if Iike my insurance and my doctor I could keep them. I have a health savings account and a less expensive catastrophic insurance policy. That’s what I want but can I keep it now? NO. Government mandated insurance policy coverage or pay my IRS agent instead? This is so against the Constitution I know and have always believed in my entire life!

      If you have health insurance then you are not being called a free rider. It is the small businesses and the individuals who don’t have any type of health insurance that are indeed free riders. As the vast majority cannot pay their medical bills and are directly subsidized by those who have health insurance. There is no question that everyone should pay towards health care one way or the other. And the insurance model doesn‘t work if healthy people roll the dice and don’t pay something. Medicare, Medicaid and certainly private insurance is significantly more expensive due to the subsidization of under paid or unpaid care. Let‘s not forget Walmart that had a corporate policy to schedule people’s hours so that they earned just under the poverty line and could still qualify for Medicaid. And now tell me that Walmart can’t afford to provide health insurance to its employees.

      The individual mandate was set up to pay for the “pre-existing conditions” mandate of Obamacare. Insurance companies wanted the assurance that all the new customers on their books would have the means to pay the premiums..either on their own, their employers or through Obamacare. What the SCOTUS decision does is send that money to the IRS because it’s now a tax NOT a penalty or a fine. So the Federal government has the money the Insurance Companies were meant to get.
      What do you think this will do to premiums? What do you think this will do to businesses thinking about new hires? Lefty iIdiots like JROOK keep bleating “freed riders”, “not a tax”, “Mitt Romney did it in MA” like good media matters trolls…anything but tell you what a steaming pile of dogsh#t they‘ve got on their hands right now and how it’s about to blow up in their faces.
      See this is why Obama is now tempering his defense of Obamacare with phrases like “fix the parts that need fixing”. It’s an abysmal piece of legislation fraught with pitfalls and high costs…what Obama’s proposing is constantly putting lipstick on his pig and then telling everyone..”there you go..fixed now”….more lipstick..”ok NOW it’s fixed”..more lipstick..”ok..NOW it’s fixed”.     So those that actually think that “Free Healthcare” is going to be free, and that the hospitals and pharmaceutical companies should just donate their time and profits, these people need to be rounded up and made to work in some of the free clinics without compensation. and then we will see how devoted to their cause they really are!

    lol of course all of the spoiled, haven’t-worked-a-day-in-their-life kids are out there protesting for “free” healthcare – they don’t pay taxes! Of course, anyone with any semblance of sanity knows that health care is expensive. Forget doctor salaries and insurance premiums and all that mess – just the operational costs and the overhead for things like surgery or rare treatments are astronomically expensive. Who pays for that? In la-la land they think it just falls from the sky. Everyone else in the real world is stuck watching their taxes get larger and larger…

When an entity offers to feed, house, clothe, and otherwise support those without discipline, they run to it. In the same way a wild animal becomes dependent on humans who feed them, so do welfareists become dependent on the state. As with wild animals, the welfarists eventually develop a sense of entitlement and become violent agaisnt their providers.

    While watching TV last night I saw an ad asking women to contact a law firm if they had taken certain contraception. Evidently this brand caused all kinds of serious health conditions. Looked like a class action suit. Interesting what’s going to happen with all this free contraception. So many people are losing their souls.

      You are correct. PPACA is a tax on every person who is health conscious, who takes care of themselves and actually doesn’t NEED health insurance. The young, the healthy, active people who eat right… We are expected to pay for those who DON’T take care of themselves.

      In effect, the healthy will subsidize the non-healthy.

      Not only that, BUT NOW THE GOVERNMENT HAS ACCESS TO ***ALL*** YOUR PERSONAL HEALTH RECORDS, which to me, IS AN INVASION OF PRIVACY AND THE DOCTOR-PATIENT PRIVACY. But, they are now allowed by law to do so, STUPID LIBERAL.

      Well, when Uncle Obama and his great healthcare team, Sibelius, tell you that NO, YOU CANNOT HAVE THAT DIABETIC DRUG BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO FAT, so trim down OR ELSE, you are going to be really, really, angry.

      If that’s not your problem, then how about those of you need pain medication because your cancer stage is hurting you? Uncle Sam CAN and WILL withhold those from you because “YOU ARE GOING TO DIE ANYWAYS”. How will you feel then, fool?

      How about that special person you love so much? If they get in a really bad accident and it is IFFY whether they are going to make it or not, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT UNDER THE NEW HC LAW, to withhold all treatment from that special person you love cause “THEY ARE GOING TO DIE ANYWAYS”.

      THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO REPLACE GOD AND DOCTORS.
      Not only is this WRONG, it is sinful in the eyes of God. GOD BLESSED DOCTORS WITH SKILLS THAT THEY SHOULD BE USING IN MAKING DECISIONS. The government will remove those and make the decisions FOR the doctors instead. HOW WILL YOU FEEL THEN?

      I cannot wait until the liberal BACKLASH begins and they get swallowed whole in this newfangled leviathan of a system. IT IS A LEVIATHAN. Look up what that is. Talk about an evil web the government weaves. WOW.

    It would be great if you believe in free health care you get it and if you pay taxes you can pay into it. If you do not believe in free health care you don‘t have to have anything to do with it and you don’t have to support it with your taxes. Same with everything else, education, abortion, gay rights. But that is why the federal government was set up like it was to let states run that stuff and leave the federal government to protect the borders of our country from enemies. But we have no choice now. The people that pay no taxes and get most of the handouts out number those that actually pay for everything and it will never change. It is going to come to revolution sadly. No one will win.

People with no children , and elderly are also taxed which don’t have children in school. So we pay for others education. It’s not really fair. In the early years of education , parents who’s children that did attend school paid the teacher , and constructed the school house.

      You are right. If a parent has to pay even $10 when taking a child to the doctor they think twice about it when it is really something they can take care of themselves. If everyone has to pitch in some of the money they start caring about how it is spent. The progressives have done a great job of detatching people from what money really is, a representation of someone’s efforts. They have built a wall between workers and takers. Every penny of welfare has been taken from someone that worked for it first and never was able to use it for his/her own family.

      I agree. However, your cheap sound bite about 50% paying no taxes is just plain ignorant. They pay real estate taxes (even through rent), they pay excise taxes and government fees, they pay sales taxes and sin taxes. Reagan is the taught the Republicans to “cut the income tax rate” but raise excise taxes and fees. And also agree on the flat 10% minimum tax on all individuals and corporations. No deductions beyond the primary home mortgage interest and other taxes. However, the flat tax should be tiered with higher wage earners and larger corporations paying a higher flat tax. Rational being to maintain the amount money circulating and the velocity with which it moves. There is a direct link between the concentration of wealth and the relative amount of money that is circulating and the velocity with which it moves through the economy.

      I believe in the fairest tax of all. 10% of all income, no personal deductions and 10% of business profit. This system was instituted by Jehovah. He does not ask for a larger percentage from the wealthy nor exempt the poor. I pay my 10% to my church and contribute above that to other worthy, private charities. Get the government out of social welfare and healthcare. It is incredibly inefficient and has ridiculous overhead charges. I work as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. It builds homes for about 1/3 the cost of a Section 8 apartment. The Habitat house is also on the property tax rolls. The government housing is NOT. Habitat requires about 1000 hrs of sweat equity to get a home. This means that the new owner almost always maintains their home. Government housing is notorious for lack of upkeep by residents and for high maintenance costs charged to the taxpayer. Transfer all charity to NGOs. Everything will work better and the recipients will be better off.

      Sorry JROOK… But your lack of being able to see the entire picture of taxes demonstrates your IGNORANCE… If you want to look at the big picture, you would consider of the 50% that pay no income taxes, approximately 20% receive a refund bigger than any income taxes they paid in to the system… The excessive refund amounts over compensate for any property taxes (even through rent), excise taxes, etc. That leaves 30% that receives a refund at least equal to the taxes they paid in to the system… Meaning, the offset of no income taxes paid offset any property taxes (even through rent), excise taxes, etc. In other words, 20% pay no income tax and get paid, while the other 30% pay no income taxes that offset any payment into property taxes… So, saying that 50% (actually, the number is 47%) pay no taxes is technically correct…

      Lastly, this whole “tiered” program is no different than the program now… Call it what it is… It is a PROGRESSIVE tax structure based on a stupid thought of 1$ is more valuable to a poor person than to a rich person…

      Furthermore, your circulation velocity concerning currency has no FACTUAL basis… It is a THEORY only and is not widely accepted…

      So, please try again with the failed leftist talking points…
