‘Stop This’: Eric Holder Scolds Reporter for Asking About Calls for His Resignation

Attorney General Eric Holder lashed out at a reporter Tuesday for asking about growing calls for his resignation for his connection to the botched Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal, telling him to stop “this.”
Holder, who admitted during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this month that the operation was “flawed,” accused the Daily Caller reporter of being “behind” calls for him to step down.
“You guys need to — you guys need to stop this. There‘s not an organic thing that’s just happening. You guys are behind it,” Holder said.
According to the Daily Caller, a reporter with the online news organization had approached the attorney general after a speech to ask about “the growing chorus of federal legislators demanding his resignation.“ Holder spoke ”sternly” to the reporter, then walked away without answering the question.
But the left-leaning organization Media Matters defended Holder’s exchange with the Daily Caller, saying he was right in asserting that it’s the news organization calling for his resignation:
“Holder is right: This isn’t a grassroots movement of conservatives calling for Holder to step down, it’s a concerted effort by a supposed media organization to push him out.
The Daily Caller has extensively covered the fall out from Operation Fast and Furious, including those who say Holder should resign. A search of the organization’s site with the words “Eric Holder” and “resign” returns 89 articles from the past month alone.
By the Daily Caller’s count, one senator, 52 congressmen, three presidential candidates and two sitting governors have said the attorney general needs to leave office.

Stop Indefinite Detention of U.S. Citizens Without Due Process
Deep inside the National Defense Authorization Act (S. 1867) that the Senate is currently considering is a dangerous and unconstitutional portion that needs to be stripped out. Congress would grant the President the power to use the military in order to detain certain individuals, including American citizens, without trial or due process, indefinitely.
Section 1031 of the National Defense Authorization Act reads: “Congress affirms that the authority of the President to use all necessary and appropriate force … includes the authority for the Armed Forces of the United States to detain covered persons…. [including] [d]etention under the law of war without trial….” This “indefinite detention” section hands over to the Executive Branch the power to have the military arrest U.S. citizens. No trial needed. Simple suspicion would suffice.
This could be quite reminiscent of Stalinist Russia where a knock on the door in the middle of the night meant that the person taken by the military was often never seen again, perhaps having been imprisoned in Siberia or executed. The Japanese American Citizens League has warned that this measure’s detention principles are similar to the ones that sent innocent Japanese-Americans into concentration camps during WW II.

Our constitution was written in fashion that it allows the removal of any official who is corrupt, it’s called checks and balances, I am put out with the GOP people who hasn’t file such charges on both Holder and Obama. But in this case (and for Obama, et al), I’d prefer to see them suffer for years in prison. Preferably a third-world prison, where their rights as prisoners are non-existant, and they’re subject to daily degradations and abuse.
