Strategist: Bachmann Could Launch Exploratory Committee by June

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP/THE BLAZE) — An aide to Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann says the tea party leader is likely to take the initial step in a White House bid.

Strategist: Bachmann Could Launch Exploratory Committee by June

Strategist Ed Brookover said Thursday that the Minnesota lawmaker could create a presidential exploratory committee as early as May. The first debates are May 2 in California and May 5 in South Carolina. Brookover says those events are factors as Bachmann decides when to make a campaign official, but adds the debates alone are not going to make her decision.

Bachmann has been traveling to the key early nominating states and lining up support.

Iowa state Sen. Kent Sorensen tells The Associated Press that he would run the crucial first nominating state for Bachmann should she run.

Bachmann acknowledged the media coverage of her exploratory committee on her Facebook profile today, posting a CNN story about it with a note to her online fans that said, “Read a little something on CNN….”

Bachmann spoke to Fox News today about her possible presidential run. “We‘ve been very encouraged by what we’ve seen so far,” she said.

When you think about it….I want someone who wants to be Pres because they know our country needs someone who actually loves our country. Someone who sees what the future will be with Obama and says “oh no you don’t, not as long as I can stop you”
Someone who believes in and upholds our Constitution because they know what it means.
And I want someone who is willing to go through all the crap willingly that will be thrown at them, even by our own party. Someone who will stand tall and say “I love this country”

Only 2 people I know are in that group of people. I will vote for either or both.

Now who is the first 2 people that come to mind in the above catagory?????
And are we, willing to work as for them as they will work for us?
Sit back, read this again and who is the first 2 people you think of?

I really like Bachmann, but she’s too nice to run. We need someone that embraces being called an A#@hole, and lives to destroy the worlds of progressives, which would be Palin.

Obama’s crew have shown they are bottom-feeders. We need somebody that’s already been bashed to the point where further bashing is un-and even counter-productive. That would be Palin.

What we need is a good debate between good, liberty-loving people in the GOP to give us the best combination of candidates for 2012. Right now, I have not fully decided who I want to back, but I would not mind seeing a few months of debates between Bachmann, Herman Cain, Gary Johnson, and if he chooses to run, Ron Paul. I think right now this is the best for the GOP.

. . . And anything so that we don’t have to have someone like Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee become the candidate. I pray, by the grace of God, that neither man enters into this race.

For one, she is unelectable because she makes tons of factual mistakes whenever she speaks. She has passion, like Sarah Palin, but very little knowledge and it shows. Most people would not vote for a candidate that is clearly ignorant. She may speak for you because she comes off as a ‘next door neighb or’ type, but the President of the United States needs to be much better than your likeable next door neighbor. Bachman and Palin come off, to the average voter, as aggressive, well meaning, but not very bright PTA Moms. Not presidential material. Besides, she has a weird vacant look in her eyes.

Sarah is not as great as many think, I like her personally but don’t care for her as a politician. As an Alaskan, we had the lowest price at the pump during the time when oil spiked. Sarah decided that we Alaskans deserved “our fair share” of the profits from the oil revenues and increased the taxes that the oil companies were paying to the state. Now (big surprise) we have the highest price at the pump of any state and less exploration (not all her fault I know). If you want to be a conservative than act like one! Sarah Palin is even less electable than Michele Bachmann. She has no more political experience than she did in 2008. If it became an issue than when she was running for VP, it will certainly be an issue in 2012. I agree that Obama had even less experience, and her executive experience was more valuable than his smidgin of legislative experience, but the tables have turned. Also, I wouldn’t call quitting the governorship an manifestation of “grit.” Palin is popular with conservative Republicans, but Independents would sooner stay home than vote for her. She is even more polarizing a political figure than Hillary Clinton was. Democrats would LOVE her to win the nomination because that would assuredly guarantee King Barry a second term.

Chris Christy is for Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Why did he campaign for Mike Castle? Why would you go out of your way to campaign for one of the most left wing republications in Congress? Why would he do that?

Why does Governor Chris Christy continue to keep funding, despite the dire financial situation in New Jersey, “Green Initiatives” when your states one hundred million in the red just in unfunded liabilities?

Governor Chris Christy does not support the 2nd amendment.

I need to make sure that Governor Chris Christy supports Border Security and not as part of Comprehensive Immigration Reform but as part of Border Security, National Security, and Law Enforcement Security.

Why did Governor Chris Christy appoint a radical to the bench as he appointed one who represented detainees at Gitmo.

The Tea Party did not place Bachmann where she is, but she has attempted to portray herself as a populist in order to harness the power of our movement and compete with “momma grizzly” (barf), Sarah Palin, for the role of TP queen. She is a conservative liability outside of Congress:
      1. She clearly did not know where Concord and Lexington are, the locations of the first battles of the American Revolution. And no, we cannot compare it to Obama accidentally saying 57 rather than 47 states (with respect to the 48 continental states).
      2. Her State of the Union response in which she could not find the camera lens was just plain bizarre, on top of the fact that she had the audacity to “officially” represent the TP movement.
      3. In her recent interview with Hannity and Weiner, she seemed oblivious to the fact that the topic THEY were discussing was the national deficit — she confused the deficit with the debt and started listing irrelevant facts about the debt while calling it the deficit. I mean, seriously?
      4. She has glazed over, Nancy Pelosi eyes.
I’m sure she is a nice person, but she is probably only slightly more electable than Palin. I’m hoping for either Huckabee or Christie or both on the 2012 ticket. They actually stand a chance of winning against King Barry.

Character assassination and ridicule are the standard tools of hard-lefties. Hypocrite! These “pro-woman“ types are ”pro-woman“ only if they meet the ”criteria”….Bachmann doesn’t – thank God. Please, WINNEBAGOMAN, CLASS2OOO and anyone else who reads this post…I beg you to stop saying that Michelle and Sarah don’t stand a chance. Can I tell you about memes? Memes are short phrases like…it‘s Bush’s fault, Bush lied…people died, the rich don’t pay taxes, Glenn Beck is crazy, Sarah Palin is stupid, and Barack Obama is brilliant.

Like a virus, memes are easily transmitted and quick to take hold. The more often they are repeated, the higher the likelihood they will eventually be believed. Why do you think that most people think that George Bush was the worst president in history? Is that the real truth, or has the point been made so often and for so long that, at some level, most people have simply come to believe it.

The left and the media are masters at creating memes. They have already convinced you that Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman are unelectable when neither has said whether they are running. That’s the power of a meme. Just keep beating the drum. Beat…Beat…Beat.

Please, anyone who reads this, understand the effect memes have on you. Watch what you are listening to. Be careful what you start repeating. You’re only passing on the virus. Reverse the effect. Instead, identify the person you want to win and tell us why s/he WOULD make an excellent president.

How does it make you feel when I say…Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman are strong, intelligent women who will save the Republic of the United States of American and I’m behind them.

Disrupt the rhythm of the beating drum. Start your own meme.

Sorry to say but I agree as well. We have yet to truly find someone to represent Americans that when they speak they command attention and will thunder away at both heads of the progressive beast. This is bad b/c whomever it is must step forward soon since the BHO campaign machine will more than likely spend over $500 million they are reported to be planning on spending for his re-election.

My vote for now will go to Cain, Christie, West… maybe even Trump!! I WILL NOT support anyone considered part of the good ol boys club ie Romneycare, Huckabore, Pawlentywho?, Paul or Palin (too much baggage that we will never see the issues addressed just the drama).

I dunno who is going to be able to take out the boy king but it must be someone prepared to literally attack BHO off script not follow the rules of campaigning… I see this mostly in Allen West he has demonstrated it a cpl times now dealing with hecklers etc even most recently agreeing to debate someone from CAIR youtube.com/watch?v=iosNNwXUZfo

Explain what you mean by comments like….‘she isn’t the right person’, or, ‘she can’t win a general election’.
Why isn‘t she ’right’, and ‘why can’t she ‘win’. We just had a socialist win the WH in ‘08, didn’t we?
Are Tea Partiers and real Conservatives too afraid to organize for a strong, proved candidate?
Herman Cain? He talks a good game, but do you not think he will be villified as a nobody with no experience in national and foreign affairs?

Mike Huckabee is the only man who will be running that can defeat Obama. A vote for Bachmann (too stupid), Palin (stupid two), Cain (sounds too much like “McCain”), Pawlenty (yawn), Paul (yeah, right), Barbour (rukm?), Romney (likeable and a good candidate, but, no way a Mormon can win) or any of the other’s who are considering a run, is a vote for “four more years”. Possible exceptions may be Trump and Petraeus. We need a nominee who can make the President look like the fool that he is in a debate. Gov. Huckabee is that man. Chuck Norris gets it. Do you?
