Supreme Court Justice Scalia Ticketed for Triggering 4 Car Fender-Bender

WASHINGTON (AP/THE BLAZE) — Just because he‘s good on the bench doesn’t mean he’s good on the road.

U.S. Park Police ticketed Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia after a four-car fender-bender Tuesday along the George Washington Parkway. No one was injured in the accident, police said.

Supreme Court Justice Scalia Ticketed for Triggering 4 Car Fender Bender

Justice Antonin Scalia

Scalia, 75, was driving his car to work at the time of the accident, court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said. He was on the bench when the court’s morning session began about 10 a.m. EDT.

Police said Scalia was driving south on the parkway just before 9 a.m. when his car collided with a vehicle in front of him, triggering a chain reaction. The justice’s car was towed from the scene.

Park Police Sgt. David Schlosser said Scalia received a ticket for following too closely, The Washington Post reported. The justice can pay the $70 fine and $20 special assessment or contest the ticket in court, Schlosser said.

Chain reaction? He probably should not have been the only one ticketed.
Even if he knocked the car in front of him into 2 other cars, THAT car would have been following too close also.
Or, if he was rear ended by the 2 cars behind him, they should also have been ticketed.

Too bad the article doesn’t state if more than one driver was ticketed or if his was the only one towed.
He could have driven into a traffic stall and plowed into the back at a high speed, but fast enough to knock the first car into a chain reaction probably would have had him at the hospital at 10am instead of on the bench.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime for an illegal immigrant. Sue, Sue, Sue! This is better than hitting the lottery. Lawyers will be lined up to take the case. He probably has enough insurance to choke a fat lawyer and then some. I smell at least 10 million out of it. It’s the American way. Lawyers sue when nobody even is hit. It’s how we do it now in America. No integrity. Just legal BS.

He swerved to miss hitting Joe Biden who was jaywalking. He said if he had it to over again, he would have hit Biden. When the cop asked why, Scalia told the officer, “well, you can fix a wrecked car, but you can’t fix stupid.”

Really? fellow justice Ruth Ginsberg was just a few car further ahead, Justice Scalia knew this because he saw her blue hair peaking just barley above the leather seat of her Bugatti veyron. He tried to text her on his blackberry, but she wouldn’t respond, More that likely because his text read ” wuzzz up liberal biochhhh?” Irritated at his being ignored he then decided to play bumper cars.

He was a drunken, shameless, womanizing, murdering, piece of scum polluting the air of patriotic Americans. It was worse the the lepers of old…at least one could SEE their affliction, the big difference being, of course, THEY couldn’t help it. They were victims…..TK just MADE victims.. Well apparently making an appropriate internet meme towards a hard hitting news story such as this will get your post removed. I will need to remember that the next time they post a cat in the tree story.

I wasn’t on the scene of the accident and so I cannot report the damage but from all accounts it appears to be something that will be handled in traffic court, unless of course it makes it to Wisconsin and in that case it will probably result in an activist judge remanding his driver’s license.

      Showtime:

If he has any respect for the law he adjucates then he would, if he choses to have the points removed, do it in the same manner as everyone else should.

Though if he does challenge the case in traffic court, could not the fact he is a Supreme Court Justice make ANY judge hearing the case in a quandry? He did get a citation from an officer of the law, and yet he is among the highest who deal with the law.

Interesting predicament if it comes to the case in court.

Much less pay a fine. The officer should be proud for doing his/her duty. That couldn’t have been an easy ticket to write.
