New details have emerged that deepen the mystery surrounding the shocking death of former Bush and Reagan White House aide, John Wheeler. As has been reported, the prominent national defense expert’s body was found in Delaware last Friday in an landfill outside Wilmington.
Newly surfaced surveillance footage from a downtown Wilmington office building captured less than 14 hours before his body was recovered shows Wheeler appearing confused and disoriented as he walked through the building. According to the Associated Press, a number of people approached Wheeler inside the Nemours Building to offer assistance — all offers he reported refused.
Police believe Wheeler’s death was not accidental, but have not released any theories as to how or why.

Posted on January 6, 2011 at 12:04amThis is a guy who is suffering from a medical condition. Possibly a reaction to psychotropic medication. He was obviously under enormous stress from conflict with neighbor, possibly has severe hypertension and stroke and placed on meds by his doctor. He walked dazed in the street disoriented was mugged robbed and killed, and dumped in a trash bin.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 11:31pmHe was clearly drugged by a hit team and momentarily got away, but got caught and then whacked by what I think will turn out to be a low-level leftist nutjob – like the psycho all gore disciple that attacked the Discovery channel. The wingnut left always turns to hatred, insults, and violence to express themselves. It’s an expose into the moonbat mind and their incessant childishness on how to reply to contrary ideas and opinions

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 11:14pmHe looked like he was talking to someone when he was looking out of that window and hobbling around with one shoe on and one shoe off. Why didn’t he put his other shoe on that he had in his hand?
Then after he shut one of the outside doors he looked like he was gesturing to someone or to himself.
Such a tragic ending. My condolences go out to his family and friends. May John Wheeler rest in peace.
I hope you’ll follow this story, theblaze, until we find out what happened to him.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 11:07pmIf you watch it carefully I believe he may have been waving to someone he saw down the hallway. It was more like a greeting or something to someone.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 10:14pmI thought it was oddthat door was wide open in the middle of winter….. He must have too, as he went over and closed it. I would like to see the footage of who opened it in the first place and start questions there.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 10:09pmLots of speculation here. Some of it quite good. Some of it pretty far out. I think we should let the investigation run it’s course.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 10:01pmEven disorientated, a man with that background, would be able to maintain. However, this was professional. Especially in the face of the “authorities” saying that it may have been an accident. Well. That is a bunch of white phosphorous.
Report Post »My guess would be that whatever was in that briefcase that was stolen implicated some people in very high (or low) places.
He may have been a spy.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 10:50pmHe may have been given a lethal dose of drugs and is basically in the process of dying and was too confused to realize what was happening to himself. I am not sure of all the details but that is a possible scenario. Someone may have wanted him dead and drugged and poisoned him then kept track of his whereabouts until he collapsed. They then moved in and disposed of his body. This is very sad he probably knew something was very wrong with himself, but did not have enough cohesiveness or control of his faculties to make any rational decisions to get himself help.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 9:36pmI do not understand why no one called the police to get him help. If I saw anything like this I would call the police. I recently called when a homeless man was drunk in our neighborhood because I knew they would come and get him into a warm area. They sent two female officers who took him for medical check and a place to stay. It was freezing outside. The least they could have done would be to call the police. I think he was probably robbed when he got off the train and hit in the head with something to cause disorientation. I don’t believe what the liberal stations are saying about him fire bombing his neighbors house. They timeline doesn’t fit at all. Lots of strange things happening.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 9:31pmI have to wonder if perhaps he had a small stroke or some other medical problem, which would explain his confusion and then fell into the hands of some street thugs. What ever it was, it is sad to see an American hero fall into such a sad situation. I wish his family the best.

Posted on January 5, 2011 at 11:08pmCertain poisons have the same effect, but a stroke is quite possible. I just wish someone in that building had notified the police that he was disoriented and walking around.

Posted on January 6, 2011 at 12:38amThis is an outrage. This gentleman was obviously in some sort of distress/ Notice him apparently waving his arms( at the camera?) at minute 1:19.The elbow area of his left arm, appears to be dirty, discernible even on black & white film. He is carrying his right shoe and appears to be limping. What is wrong with people today? So fricken self absorbed or stupid that that they can’t be bothered? That dim bulb parking attendant and her/his( can’t really tell) lame superintendent should have called LE.
Report Post »One AP story states it doesn’t appear to be an accident ..DUH, what the h@ll kind of statement is that?
This man was a decorated vietnam vet, and served in three admins. He was instrumental in getting the vietnam vet memorial wall constructed .Not that the garage attendant would know that, but something really stinks and it isn’t the landfill garbage.

“The idea took root on television news broadcasts, newspaper websites, conspiracy theory blogs and and other web operations where Wheeler’s death already had been branded a cover-up of one kind or another.”
“This is a good example of when anybody can say anything without any accountability and there are no consequences,” said Ralph J. Begleiter, a University of Delaware professor and distinguished journalist in residence who directs the university’s Center for Political Communication.
Begleiter said that, across the internet, information can be presented and repeated as news almost instantly, even though
“there are no standards, there are no ethics, there are no bylines in most cases.”
CAN YOU SAY THIS GUY AND OF COURSE USA TODAY ARE SUPPORTERS OF NET NEUTRALITY! The entire article leaned toward his legal problems with his neighbor (REALLY?) and it really did not glorify Mr. Wheeler or any of his contributions to this country…disgraceful reporting…I expected better?
