WASHINGTON (AP) — A new poll finds that President Barack Obama retains substantial numbers of fans in Europe even though his popular support has softened at home.
More than three-quarters of those polled in 11 European Union countries say they approve of Obama’s handing of international policies. That compares with just over half of Americans.
The annual survey was conducted by the German Marshall Fund of the United States and an Italian research center.
It found that Europeans were not as enthusiastic about some of Obama’s policies, with just under half approving of the U.S. president’s handling of Afghanistan and Iran.
Obama‘s overall approval ratings dipped slightly in Europe since last year’s poll, from 83 percent to 78 percent.

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 9:29am“More than three-quarters of those polled in 11 European Union countries say they approve of Obama’s handing of international policies.” – of course they do. Obama is bowing down and handing the country to whoever asks for it! Obama doesn’t believe in America, in fact, he is embarrassed by our freedom, our financial strength, our prosperity and our power. So, for the first time in American history (and hopefully the last), we have a President who apologizes to lesser nations for who we are. There is no wonder why Europe loves this poser.

Considering as far as foreign policy goes, he was only slightly more “moderate”(re more progressive) than George W. Bush was. And everyone KNOWS how hated he was. It’s an interesting contradiction. I guess they must love it when the leader of the western hemisphere and of the free world kowtows to other nations and begs forgiveness for all our past wrongdoings. The only significant difference in policy is specifically in military policy and being more touchy-feely about making sure there are no civilians within 200 square miles before returning fire when one of our troops is under attack.
Really quite eye opening when you think about it.

Shouldn’t we as Americans have a high rating of what our president is doing? For the past few months I have been watching what the president has done wit the whole BP thing and the Federal health care, nothing he has done has been what he promised. Nothing, he has deepened the debt, things to me are worse than they were before. When the elections come back up I will wholeheartedly vote against him, since I can now vote :D

“Hmmmm…..A lot of college educated people in Europe.”
Ever been to Europe?
People in Europe are state educated, meaning they only learn what the government wants them to learn. College Educated? No no, Secondarily Preprogrammed, that’s the term.
“They do no have Yale Drop out, Fox News, 8/28 rally leaders”
You‘d leave a KKK rally wouldn’t you? (After you realized it was a KKK rally, right?)
Also, I’m sorry that not everyone in America has a trust fund to pay for their Yale Education. I‘m sorry that not every American doesn’t want Hundreds-Of-Thousands-Of-Dollars of debt owed to the federal government in student loans.
Oh.. Wait.. No! I’m not! I‘m glad that Americans are being SENSIBLE and avoiding debt like it’s a plague. Unlike your ilk DANGLINGBAGS, who run up debt like it’s going out of style.
Also, Conservatives aren’t Republicans, just the same as Liberals aren’t Democrats. So don’t even try going there.
“…..filling their sheep’s head with lies while leading them to the slaughter house.”
I’m sorry, spending huge amounts of money, and not paying down the debt, and telling Americans everything is A-OKAY is a wholly owned practice of Progressives. Again, you’re wrong.
“Oh yeah…picking their pocket the whole way!!!!”
Sort of like how GE is cashing in on Global Warming hype, and how Andy Stern is making oodles of money off of SEIU union workers being hired to protest outside of banks, public offices, and in other places. Sort of like how the NAACP and Al Sharpton profit off of racism.
Wow, you are just on a roll of being wrong today.
Tell ya what, go back to get, have a good snooze, and come back with your game face on!

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 10:26amDbags – what lies do you keep referring to? You always bring up “the lies”. Please enlighten us with the lies and I bet one of us can enlighten you with some facts (definition of fact: something that actually exists; reality; truth). Also, what IS your problem with rich people? I am strictly middle-class so I am not a rich person by any means, but I don’t hold rich people in disgust like you apparently do, unless they earned their money by unquestionabel means. Do I wish I had more money? Sure I do. But I am living the lifestyle I have chosen and have decided to be happy with what I have and thankful for a wonderful husband and 2 terrific children. I don’t begrudge rich people their wealth – they’ve earned it. They help the economy with jobs and purchases. Most usually donate to charity. But really, what it comes down to is that they’ve earned it. It’s their money. I am so tired of people making rich people seem like villians and so greedy. Get over it. And the fact that you said that’s all the Tea Party and Conservatives care about shows how little you know.

It is. But when the state tells you what to learn, it’s Programming. You’d have a head fit if the Bush Administration regulated college education. (So would I.) Just as a.. Confusing example.
“Maybe you folks do not understand,”
No, no you don’t understand. All that preprogramming..
” to attack the educated as uneducated is a political tactic.”
Tell that to Abraham Lincoln, and so many other American greats who didn’t get so much as a grade-school education.
“Its a very underhanded way of disenfranchising those who opinions matter most.”
Oh, so because you went to college, your opinion means more than mine because you have a fancy piece of paper saying you wasted so many years of your life, and ran yourself so far into debt, just to prove you can do something, that you already knew how to do.
Well, in that case, I guess I don’t understand. We’re not looking at the same Constitution, nor founding documents.
