Surviving Tourist Recounts Grisly Murder: ‘I Heard Her Making Gurgling Sounds’

The British tourist who survived begin bound and stabbed while hiking in Israel is speaking up about what exactly led to the murder of her American friend.

46-year-old Kaye Susan Wilson, from Britain, said she only survived the brutal attack after playing dead, and that she laid in terrified silence and listened as her friend, 40-year-old U.S. citizen Christine Logan, was stabbed to death.

“My friend was dying,” she said according to London’s Daily Mail. “I heard her making gurgling sounds.”

Wilson eventually freed her hands and found help at a nearby parking area. The Daily Mail reports on Wilson’s grizzly recounting of the incident:

Miss Wilson told police they had been attacked by two Arab men while hiking in the Mata forest, near the town of Beit Shemesh.

Speaking from her hospital bed, Miss Wilson, a tour guide who emigrated to Israel from the UK in the 1990s, recalled the moment when one of her attackers pulled a serrated knife on her and her friend, who was visiting the Middle East country.

She told Israeli newspaper Haaretz she and her companion had been sitting down, just off the hiking trail, when the two men approached and asked them in Hebrew if they had any water.

She tried to get them to leave, she said, feeling that ‘something wasn’t right’, and the two women then headed back towards the trail.

‘Suddenly I noticed them,’ she went on. ‘It all happened so fast. They came and attacked us.’

One of the men pulled out a long knife, which looked like a bread knife with a serrated edge, she said.

‘I was scared but my friend became hysterical. I told her in English to be quiet and not make noise,’ she said.

But the men then began to stab both women.

‘I had a Star of David hanging on a chain around my neck. He took it off like a gentleman and then turned me around and stabbed in the place where the Star of David had been,’ she said.

It was clear that the two men had come to kill, she added, questioning why they would have been carrying such a knife otherwise.

She recalled how she then lay still. ‘I played dead,’ she said. ‘I saw (the knife) hadn’t gone into my heart. My friend was dying, I heard her making gurgling sounds.‘

While many speculate the attack was politically motivated, police so no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility.

    Thank God the woman had the sense to pretend she was dead or she really would be. Muslims seem to have no genuine respect for their own women, so why would anyone expect them to have any respect for any other women? They can’t see beyond their warped beliefs and vilence!

These men believe they will be rewarded by sex with virgins.. that alone disgusts me… that tells me that young girls are probably not safe around these nutcases…meanwhile, of course, they stone and /or kill their wives and daughters for looking at men.. yup.. they are monsters… furthermore.. why aren’t we and the rest of the world not helping these oppressed women? what a sick, sick world we live in

    I got some great pics yesterday of my dog eating ham off of a koran. Right now the koran is in my fridge sith ham between the pages and a package of hot dogs on top of it. It’s the little things that make me feel good about sticking it to that false religon…..

      The simple solution is to eliminate the problem. You can’t reason with a rabid dog, all you can do is put it down. I certainly wish there were a peaceful solution, but peace is impossible with people that see non-violence as nothing but a weakness to be exploited.

      If you truly feel this way then a private Army/militia would need to be raised tomorrow before we are too weak to do anything at all. Even if you could raise such an Army it would consist of what?? Some vets with real experience to be sure, manned with shot guns, hand guns and some heavy rifles. Then what? Drone attack would take out most at the first meeting of these real patriots. Got to think out of the box! An underground network needs to be established in this country.       He stabbed the victim where the star had laid on her body and he failed to achieve his objective. I conclude that God interfered with this attacker, compelling him to strike the victim right where the star had laid on her body. He could have struck in any number of places on the human body and killed her. But he chose to strike where he did.

    It’s impossible for me to fathom why people do not accept the word that was handed down by Muhammad. People of the world must convert to Islam or die. Ther are no such people as moderate Muslims, if they are true believers. If they don’t embrace Islam completely as it is taught, it’s analagous to a Christian obeying all the Commandements except the ones he or she do not agree with.       I noticed that too… when I first read the headline, I thought some bear had either killed or been murdered. I see a a lot of illiterate headline writing and errors in grammar and spelling on this site. When I commented on it, I got flamed in the replies… especially when the moderator corrected both the headline and the story immediately (like this one will be). Not very classy for a GB endorsed news site. It does prove that “education” is as bad as Glenn says it is.

      Not sure of the profiling restrictions in Israel but have you noticed there are more reports of arabs of the muslim persuasion that make the headlines due to murder and mayhem than Israeli citizens? That’s not to say that there are no Israeli criminals….. they are ALL criminals if you listen to the Paleostinians but hopefully you catch my drift.

      The old testament is the covanent for the Jews, not Christians. There are some things that carry over to the new testament, but that isn’t one. You can tell which do and which do not by reading the new testament. Give it a try some time.

      Name a Christian denomination or country in existence today that practices this part of the Mosaic Law as part of it’s system of jurisprudence. You need to learn something about biblical hermeneutics, sir. Jesus was not setting-up a Christian legal system by His statements, he was speaking to the Jewish people of His day who were under a specific suzerainty treaty.

      Besides confirming the authoritative nature of the Law of Moses, He was also declaring that He was the fulfillment of all it contained. That fulfillment frees His disciples of the condemnation that exists under that Law. The NT is the best interpretation of how this plays out to the gentile believers who came afterward (read Acts, and the epistles of Paul.) It’s not our duty to apply every specific theocratical punishment that existed in this treaty between God and the nation of Israel, although a nation is certainly free to adopt whatever laws that parallel it’s own sense of justice as gleaned from it (such as laws against stealing or murder.) But no mandate is ever given in the NT for the church to mirror every aspect of Israel’s civil laws.

      Recognition by Christ that the treaty stands as eternally valid between God and the Jews is not contradicted by His subsequent revelation that while all are guilty of breaking that Law, the punishment under that covenant was to be inflicted upon Himself as the Saviour of mankind, for our own redemption (”It is finished!” literally – “The debt is paid!” John 19:30.)

      So your attempt here to turn the the OT against the modern church’s teachings is unfounded. And your further attempt to spread the guilt of the Islamists, who tend to follow an ongoing Koranic philosophy of violence toward those of other faiths, to a faith that has no such modern track record is equally obtuse.

      Burnthills. I don’t think too many people except most of the muslims think this is a religion of peace or law. The Sharia law is violent in many places and shows how these people are raised. We know the law had to be written by men as it is so oppressive to women. A lot of the quiet muslims that don’t speak up, I am sure, believe in this law covertly if not openly. I am sure there are some who don’t too.

      If we had a real leader, he would say, “That’s it. It stops now or we will stop it for you”. I say, appeasement is for cowards. Plus it doesn’t work. It has never worked and it will never work. We need to scare the hell out if these monsters. Fear is all they understand. We need to infiltrate the madrassa’s and mosques and start assassinating those who foment hatred. We should also not respect any border that harbors terrorist. We should start bombing any and all known terrorist locations today. No matter what country.

      These are not humans we are dealing with and Islam is not a religion. They are monsters and it is a cult.

      @Chiefgeorge…the answer is 16,538 deadly terror attacks since 9/11 (http://www.jihadwatch.org/).

      These types of terror attacks are already in this country, just not reported as such…the media just portrays them as senseless violence, domestic disturbances, or the act of individuals that became mentally unstable…even when the perpetraors say they did it in the name of Islam.

      Perhaps you need the reality check! In this country special laws are created by none other than liberals which redefine what you describe as some sort of “random crime”, as in fact, “HATE CRIME”. These perpetrations are given special legal status, and hopefully in liberals case, special social and media status. However, if it happens to a White person, or a Conservative, or if it perpetrated by a minority, or a religious representative other than “those Christians”, then it has no political merit. So think again! If you support descriminatory categorization of crime based on preferences, then please be consistent!
