Suspension Bridge Collapses in Indonesia Killing At Least 3, Injuring 17

(The Blaze/AP) A busy bridge collapsed Saturday in central Indonesia, killing at least three people and injuring 17 others as a bus, cars and motorcycles crashed into the river below, police and witnesses said.
Capt. Syafii Nafsikin said search and rescue teams rushed to the scene.
Survivors, swimming to shore, were screaming in panic.
The sprawling, 770-yard (700-meter) bridge – built to resemble the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco – linked the towns of Tenggarong and Samarinda in East Kalimantan province. Detikfoto caught photo of the collapsed “Golden Gate Bridge” of Indonesia: 
It was clogged with traffic when the accident occurred, Syaiful, a witness, told local television station TVOne.
He saw at least one bus and close to a dozen motorcycles plunge into the Mahakam river. Several cars were mangled.
“Everyone was screaming,” said Syaiful, who like many Indonesians uses only one name.
East Kalimantan police spokesman Col. Antonius Wisnu Sutirta said it wasn’t immediately clear why the 10-year-old bridge collapsed.
He said at least three people were killed and 17 others were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals.
The Indonesia Today reports that the bridge collapsed at 4:20 p.m. local time when hundreds of people were attempting to cross it.

Maybe that was the bridge he was talking about last month that needed repairing when he was demanding more money to stimulate the economy. (Which economy)? He’s elected President of the U.S, and he ruins the economy, and jobs, and homes, and gives guns to Drug Lords and our people get shot. He ok’s a drilling rig in the Gulf, and within days it goes kaput! So Obama goes on Vacation hoping the problem will go away. Obama goes to England, he get stuck on a traffic hump. He goes to Massachusetts and enjoys a Hurricane, He goes to Hawaii (on of the 57 states of Asia). Boy, this guy is a walking disaster. I wouldn’t vote for this guy if he run for city Dog-Catcher. I‘d be afraid the dogs would suffer because he can’t make decisions. But the people were warned about this Kenyan without a U.S Birth-Certificate and no political experience what-so-ever, and used phony Driver‘s Licenses’ and social security cards from different states. Sorry about the bridge falling…….but OBAMA caused it, NOT BUSH.

Indonesian absolutely LOVE American culture and people. I have lived in Bali now for 2 + years and only been treated with such generosity that I can say that I consider Indonesian people to be some of the finest I have ever met. Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Buddhist or otherwise. We could learn a lot about tolerance of others and family unity from these people.
