Suspicious Package Found Outside Weiner’s D.C. Office

Emily Miller, editor of The Washington Times’ opinion section, Tweeted a picture of a blocked-off hallway outside Rep. Anthony Weiner’s Washington, D.C. office. Authorities say a suspicious package has been found there. The Hill has more:
The Capitol Police blocked off pedestrian traffic surrounding Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-N.Y.) congressional office Thursday as they investigated a suspicious package.
“It’s still under investigation,” Makema Turner, spokeswoman for the Capitol Police, told The Hill of the package found around 1 p.m. Thursday at Weiner’s office in the Rayburn House building. The area was reopened to traffic at 1:30 p.m.

Weiner is expected to resign later this afternoon. Stay tuned for details on this developing story.
UPDATE: The suspicious package appears to have been a box of CD cases. Miller just Tweeted, “Capitol police spokesman says #Weiner’s office has been cleared of the suspicious package. (Just in time for resignation!)”

Texas doesn’t have an English as an official language law. Perhaps they should? Otherewise the guy was within his rights to speak any language he wanted too….
1st Amendment rights also protect speech, any form of speech. So I‘m not sure how that affects ’official language laws’?
