Syria Now Prepared to Discuss Assad’s Resignation

After months of bitter struggle between the rapidly failing Syrian government and its people, one major government official in the Syrian government finally put the resignation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on the table.

Qadri Jamil, Syria’s Deputy Prime Minister, told an audience in Moscow that while the Syrian government will not force Assad’s resignation as a precondition for negotiations, it is prepared to negotiate over precisely what should be done using Assad’s potential resignation as a bargaining chip.

Victoria Nuland, spokeswoman for the State Department, didn’t react particularly enthusiastically to the news, according to the BBC:

“Frankly, we didn’t see anything terribly new there,” said US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland.

“Obviously, the longer this goes on, the harder it is, but we still believe that the faster Assad goes, the more chance there is to quickly move on to the day after,” she added.

Granted, Nuland is right that Syria’s broader stance (calling for no foreign intervention and deepening its ties to Russia) is not particularly new or encouraging.

However, the BBC does note that this is the first time the Syrian regime has admitted that every eventuality is on the table regarding Assad. That is quite a shift, and signals that even Assad’s own government has grown tired of defending the embattled dictator.

Negotiate, all they want is guaranteed protection from Russia against any form of aggression from a foreign nation.

Alawites aren’t Arabs. They are the remnants of the Phoenicians. To be an Alawite, both parents have to be Alawite, no exceptions whatsoever. The Muslim Syrians call them the “Germans”. Look at Assad’s picture above, does that look like Arafat?

Ancient Phonecian is the same as ancient Hebrew, the two groups were intertwined, they are probably more closely related to the Jews than the Arabs. Like the Samaritans, and a lot of Jews, about 12% have light hair and eyes.

So, they are very geneticaly separate from other Syrians, certainly in the last few centuries, maybe for thousands of years. At any rate, that’s pretty much how both sides see it.

Itn’s not just religion, it’s race.

Their religion is Phoenician with little “g” gnostic influences. Big secret. Never considered Muslim for 1300 years, only a couple decades ago sorta accepted as Shiite because of Iran’s power politics. Far more Christian, honor Christmas, John the Baptist, Mary Magdela, etc. and observe no Muslim rituals whatsoever and say nothing in the Koran means what it appears to mean and ignore it.

And 1300 years of the Alawites being mercilessly persecuted by the Muslims (as you might imagine) only surviving by hiding in their mountains, we got a long bitter grudge here folks with all the ingredients for mass genocide, inevitably drawing in the entire planet.

And it gets worse, these Alawites, different genetics, different religion, facing extermination, have horrific WMD..

      @ Passerbye

Thanks for that nice bit of work. It was very illuminating and caused me to do some research as well.

It seems that this is a religious war, with Mr Obama throwing his support behind the muslims who are trying to bring about a middle-east caliphate.

      Now, isn’t that a surprise.

Oh yeah, the Christians think they are about to be exterminated, with good reason. In this one we are on the side of Al-Qaeda/Saudi Arabia and against the Christians who are in fear for their lives.

The only thing that maters is Syria’s horrific WMD, they get loose, and civilization as we know it, and all civil rights come to an end.

All actions, by all parties involved, are based on that.

The Alawites are convinced, and they are probably right, that they will be exterminated by the Muslims iif they lose. A cold day in Hell they will give up those WMD.

Even if Russia said they didn’t care, we still couldn’t attack Syria, Russia is just an excuse.

As for attacking Iran, if we had any intention whatsoever of doing that, all we’d have to do is use Syria as an excuse, and get the Muslims on our side (to the extent any Muslim is loyal to anyone.)

No one is giving the Muslims any weapons, including other Muslims (except for Al-Qaeda who is there in force.)

Al-Qaeda of course, is threre for the Bioweapons and you better believe it’s #1 on their agenda, a lot more important to them than piss-ant Syria.

Russia is scared to death of the WMD too, with good reason, and Turkey.

Oh yeah, it doesn’t matter in the slightest if the eye doctor resigns, he was never in charge. Wasn’t invited to that meeting with the (now mostly dead) real rulers.

Not that there’s any chance whatsoever of him quitting, it’s just a stalling tactic. There’s been a whole drama about it being a pre-condition and with the new UN flunkie saying it’s now not a pre-condittion, Assad saying it’s a possibility means months more of “negotiations” that will produce nothing as the slaughter continues. It’s a game.

      Israel should nuke Iran now:
      - If Obama, forced by The Muslim Brotherhood operatives inside the Whte House, (Huma Abedin et al.) attacks Israel, he will lost the Jewish vote and money, shocking also most Americans.
      - If he helps Israel or support it during or after the attack, he will lose the left-wing anti-Semites, the Muslims, Nation of Islam, etc. Not that they will vote Romney, but they will stay home.

It’s naive to assume that if Israel attacks now, Obama will use that as a pretext to declare martial law and call off the elections, because, in all the cases if he loses the elections he will declare martial law. The point is to make his defeat as clear as possible, that way, people will have a reason to step up and fight after November….

Obvious to see here, and in recent months, that the State Dept under Gaybama’s direction, has been working to destabilize the Middle East and deposing former “friends” of the US in the area.

A REPUBLICAN or Conservative US President will be hard-pressed to make any mutually favorable diplomatic headway in the near future and beyond.

It is hard to disagree that Gaybama has been using military and civilian intelligence and arms to favor Muslim Radicals in the Middle East. Where in the Middle East have our enemies NOT been strengthened?

to THE_JERK – I didn’t read the whole thing, but the first 4 paragraphs are VERY interesting, although I’m strongly led to believe, by what I scanned, that what this “committee” had in mind is far and away from what Gaybama is doing now. I bookmarked it to read further.

Woodyee, when your done read about the authors, Richard Perle and his history. Look up Doug Feith and his unprecedented Office of Special Plans formed in the Pentagon, and how they massaged the intelligence that was passed through Cheney’s office via David Wurmser and Scooter Libby, who eventually passed it on to the New York Times through Judith Miller.

Each and every one of these people are Jews, except Cheney, who was an adviser to the Jewish Institute of National Security Affairs, JINSA. There’s more, but that’s a good start.

Now Obama will claim success in Syria, all the while champing at the bit for war and then he will applaud whichever member of the Muslim Brotherhood comes into power. The Caliphate is one more step closer to becoming a reality; and the war with Israel is one step closer to happening no thanks to Obama.

Uh, the Muslim Brotherhood, (and Al-Qaeda, and the Saudis, and Muslim Syrians) is who the Alawites (and Christians) are fighting.

Probably the most tolerant of Christianity in the country, (other than Alawites) is the Muslim Brotherhood.

    Victoria Nuland, Jewish, anyone surprised?

Listen, “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm,“ was written in 1996” for the then Netanyahu government of Israel. It was written by Jews, for Jews, with dual loyalties, who later became part of the Bush policy team that misled America into war. America has been paying the cost of this strategy since.
You look up the authors. You Google their names and see where they were placed in the Bush administration, by former JINSA (Jewish Institute for International Affairs) adviser, Dick Cheney.

    America is a doormat.
