Take a Look: Ferrari Unveils Most Powerful Car Earlier Than Expected

Ferrari Reveals F12 Berlinetta

Just last week there were hints at what was being called Ferrari’s most powerful car yet. It wasn’t expected to be officially revealed until the Geneva Motor Show beginning March 8, but they’ve surprised us.

Take a look at the F12 Berlinetta:

The vehicle boasts 740-horsepower that can bring it from 0 to 104 miles per hour in 8.5 seconds.

SlashGear reports that the car is lighter than its predecessor, the 599 GTB, thanks to its “aluminum-intensive spaceframe”. SlashGear also notes that the F12 Berlinetta’s lower and rearward center of gravity allows it to reach an impressive top speed of more than 211 mph.

Take a look at this test drive before the body of the car was revealed:

Wow I can not believe some of the posts I am reading. Here is some friendly advice, never ever say nor think you will never be able to afford something. Why…that is the thought that will keep you enslaved. Instead you should be thinking, Wow that is nice I want one, by the way guy good for you !

The next phase is understanding that you may not be able to get one today, however know and believe in your self, passion and determination will move you forward, patience is required too.

Working exclusively for some one else “the man” will most likely put you in the position of not being able to afford what you want. You have to take the leap of faith and do something on your own.

Opportunity, yes we all have it, sometimes it comes in the form of a negative but it is there. Sometimes it is hard to see or define it, but it is there and it’s there for everyone. Those who look for it, make something happen using it are those who are rewarded.

Some people are happy with their life and I applaud it, however if your the person who walks up to that stranger and says “It’s must be nice” I am sorry but you really are a loser.

By the way, I am average American and I have heard you will never do this or that, I did not go to college because it was boring to me. However I made money in real estate, lost a lot of money in real estate. I am an award winning patent holder, success is in each of us, if you do not want it or tap into it, you will not have it.

It took me twenty plus years to buy the car of my dreams, a BMW 635csi. I now own one, a euro model at that!
All I can say is never give up your dreams. You never know when they might come true.

You’re right, when I was a kid I wanted one of those inflatable bounce houses that they had at all of the local summer festivals. When my twins (my first two children) were 2 yrs old, I bought one. I’ve spent umpteen hours playing in that thing with my kids. Best toy ever. I don’t care so much about cars, but if I wanted one I would make a plan, save the money, and buy one. Life is too short not to.

Great post! I am one who is happy with my life. I NEVER look at someone who has money and think they don’t deserve it. Most, if not all, of the folks in this country who are wealthy had to give up something that I hold very dear, time with their families. I applaud you my friend! It is people like you who make the world a better place to live, Thank you! I am not discounting folks, like myself, who value time with family either. I believe these kind of folks are keeping the world from coming apart at the seams by teaching their children right from wrong and the value of work and family.

I wish one…just one American company would make cars like this again… screw the CAFE standard… screw the price tag… just build a car that the engineers know they would love to drive and so would the consumer…even if we can’t afford it… and insurance companies, the government, and law enforcement just HATE!!

we have the Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, Corvette…all good strong sports cars…even in their modified Shelby GT 500 SS, SS, SRT 8, and ZR-1 modes…still great fun…but nothing that thrills you and scares the hell out of you at the same time…that leaves you smiling from ear to ear just looking at it let alone driving it or listening to it idle or scream through the gears shifting hard at redline….

sure half the population will look at you like you are an idiot and not understand why you are happy and laughing and smiling all the time when you get out or get in…but WHO CARES!! they don’t get why America is failing, that government is too large and controlling, or that the world is on the verge of Socialist Utopia destruction either….they will NEVER get it…let them eat cake…drive their Volt or Prius…and leave us alone…as we blow by them at 3 times the legal speed limit..LAUGHING!!!!

      AMEN!

Sadly, the brainwashed low performance masses will never understand the sheer joy of high performance driving. They‘ve been stripped of that desire to see what’s beyond the next mountain, to break through boundaries into unexplored territory, to excel and succeed, which drove our founders and those who pushed westward to lay the foundation for this nation which has drawn like-minded people from around the globe to come here to do the same thing. They’ll only whine about the cost, whether or not it complies with tyrannical government emissions standards (based on flawed “science”), or how dangerous it is, and seek to prevent anyone from experiencing the joy of overcoming the limitations of the past.

Ferrari, and a choice few other car makers, know this joy and pursue it for the benefit of their customers – people who “get it” and have the resources to own such exceptional vehicles and appreciate their value. They understand the value of competition and what it produces, and they seek nothing but excellence in their craft.

They should be saluted for their passion and pursuit of what others say is impossible.

Oh – If you have a problem with the price, don’t buy one. You’re incapable of appreciating it anyway.

There are some American Supercars that will scare you, Corvette C6 ZR1 (638hp – 205mph) Ford GT (550hp – 212mph), SSC Ultimate Aero (1,287hp – 256mph) , Dodge Viper (600hp – 202mph), Saleen S7 TT (750hp – 248mph) take your pick, but unless you’re in the Ford GT avoid corners. I’d prefer the German made Bugatti Veyron SS (1200hp – 267mph) destroys in the straights and manages to hold it‘s own in the corners not to mention it’s AWD.

Yes, it has the power to launch itself off an aircraft carrier but does it meet the CAFE standards?
