You might remember the story of Kalai, the Hawaiian-born, Alaska-raised singer, songwriter and composer who, despite being born with birth defect to his left hand, has thrived as a full-scale guitarist and recording artist. The talented musician appeared on the Glenn Beck Program Tuesday evening to provide viewers with a sneak preview of what‘s to come when he performs at Beck’s upcoming Restoring Love event.
A collection of Kalai’s “Restoring Love Sessions” including the songs, ”All Rise,“ ”Peacetime Freedom Fighter,“ and ”I Am a Man” can currently be accessed for download here.
Be sure to check out Kalai’s knock-out performance below:

Posted on July 25, 2012 at 10:38amJust because I prefer to listen to Black Metal doesn‘t mean I don’t enjoy all genres of music. And regardless of the genre, as a musician I too can recognize talent even if i don’t personally like the music.
He is not that talented. He’s got an average tone to his voice and his finger-picking style of guitar playing is nothing to be in awe about.
I could learn and perform any of his songs on guitar in under a week. I don‘t blame any one for thinking he’s good. But don’t mistake a catchy tune for outstanding musical talent.
If you want to see some outstanding guitar playing, check out Josh Middleton.

And so no one fears for their souls, it’s not satanic. A lot of their songs have Christian messages. In fact this song is about the tragedies of losing faith.

Posted on July 25, 2012 at 2:28amI didn‘t see that Kalai had a post all his own when I commented on the post about the rest of the artists on Glenn’s show today. I thought someone dropped the ball in leaving him out of that article.. Gad to see this great, talanted musician rated a post all his own. His rendition of Battle Hymn is on of my favs. I had it on my iPod before even knowing he would be a part of Restoring Love. He is truly unique in his talent.

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 11:54pmThis is a great guitar player! His music deserves Higher Ground!
But the Fundamental Christian Broadcast leaders have pounded out openness to Higher Ground, because they need a 3-chord praising, dumbed -down sheeple. They need to sell 3-point books from their 3-point sermons so they can attend quid-pro-quo events for simpletons who love formulas, just formulas where God doesn‘t live and can’t live.
Beck’s event could have been a chance for modern Churchianity, represented by Texan formula preachers to repent… but no, there shall be no repenting for selling dumbness, no they would rather repent for other sinners’ sins, which is cheap of them.

Is the core united?
No, it’s quite confused.
Is the core united?
It misunderstands truths.
Is the core united?
It suffers great loss.
Is the core united?
It has no one boss.
Is the core united?
It has too much fear.
Is the core united?
Little is sincere.
Is the core united?
It despises the sword of the spirit.
Is the core united?
It nullifies the word and won’t hear it.
Is the core united?
Report Post »Perhaps, after popular evil has had god-awful sway.
Is the core united?
Only the truth-loving, strong and unified restore God’s way.

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 11:03pmI sat in a church service sometime in the 1990′s where a congregation that had left the U.S.S.R came to the U.S.A right after the Iron Curtain fell. They asked the Pastor if the could sing a song. Approximately 30 people formed a choir on stage and sang the Battle Hymn of the Republic (Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord). There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. Thank you Kalai.

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 10:16pmThe first time I heard Kalai play, on a taped segment of GBTV, I knew I had to hear more of his music and couldn’t wait until it was available for purchase! It seemed like an eternity until it was announced that the Restoring Love soundtrack was being offered on GBTV and iTunes. I immediately downloaded the music. I have been listening to and loving the tunes since day one! Kalai’s music is so fantastic and unique…it just pulls you in and makes you want to hear more!

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 10:16pmHe is very talented. And while I am not sure he believes wholly in the cause of the right, which Glenn has hinted on, what is important is that he is willing to put himself out there. Yes, maybe to collect a paycheck but God love him for doing what he must do to provide for his family. And his talent brought tears to my eyes tonight watching him on GBTV.

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 10:37pmThere is only one cause and that is the cause of God’s will. All else is secondary. I align myself according to this priority and naturally, am very right of center as it is mostly in agreement with biblical values. The left on the other hand, has become the tool of evil and battles all that is good: The lie of socialism twisted as the “truth” of social justice, pro-choice, secular humanism, the “Green” climate science idiots, and the the rest of the usual looney suspects.
