Taliban Sends 9/11 Message to War-Weary Americans

The Afghan Taliban used the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks to ramp up its information war against the U.S.-led coalition.
The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s “Voice of Jihad” media company released a message today that suggests the Taliban is acutely aware of hardships facing America, counting on them to eventually force the U.S. to withdrawal and surrender. In the message, the Taliban aludes to “heavy financial losses amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars,” likely alluding to the country’s struggling economy, mounting taxpayer discontent and waning support for the war.
The message also underscores the insurgency’s disinterest in reconciling with the U.S.-backed Karzai government. The Taliban writes that they will continue to fight until “the invaders are no more in Afghanistan,” and will continue the battle until “an Islamic sovereignty is established there.” The group restates their goal to “establish a strong and independent Islamic system” as “the legitimate right of the Afghans to determine the future destiny of Afghanistan.”

It is a naive and dangerous assumption that if we negotiate or accommodate we will gain peace or common ground. The words of Hamas’s Mahmoud Zahar; “We have no peace process. We need to show these people what it really looks like when the hand of god descends upon them. I don’t mean nukes. I mean the entire force of the military and the best conventional bombs we have. If they hide in the mountains then prove to them that we can reduce a mountain to dust in a day. Every cave can be collapsed and every rock reduced to sand. Their will to fight must be taken from them. This is a fight that will never be won with words. Fight and win. We can not afford to beg for concessions from murderers while soldiers die to buy time for diplomats to play mind games with each other. War is a dirty hands endeavor and until our own president understands that, this one will not end. Stop getting soldiers killed because you don’t have a pair Mr. President. Winners don’t have to worry about polls. We are the most powerful nation in the world and your administration and the media will not allow the dirty fighting of war to happen. One ICB with air burst MRVs should have gone straight to MECCA and every other MOSQUE in Saudi Arabia we had target grids for. Then one Mosque world wide, every hour until we hit the same number as the people that died in the towers.
Still not a bad idea, but first we really need to deal with all these slim balls that are already in the U.S. and just bulldoze their Mosques for parking lots.

We need to pay more attention to the battle going on in our OWN BACK YARD. How is it that Maj. The American people are compassionate, and have no desire to see the Afghan people suffer. Instead of hating and killing, why don’t you educate people and experience what it feels like to have respect from the people…instead of fear and misery?
The American people aren’t your enemy. They don’t want to take over your country or build Christian churches on your land. They simply want to see the Afghanistans AND the Taliban have more to live for than…a bunch of virgins.

Just cut down part of the crop for media’s sake. You can kill poppies with Roundup and bulldoze the fields under but, Karzai won’t allow it. The stupid rules of engagement are Karzai’s fault. He is the one making nice with the Taliban. They need to assasinate Karzai and his evil brother and then start over.

The media and the “Speech Giver” made a big deal out of the last combat troops being pulled out. What they did not say is we just moved them to Afghanistan!!!! Why?? Iraq is some what stable and on one side of Iran. Afghanistan is on the other side of Iran and also in between Pakistan were the civil war between MODERATE Muslim’s and SHARIA LAW Muslims is heating up. The fact is we still have 180,000 Combat boots on the ground and thousands of support troops in countries like Kuwait!! WHY ??? IRAN.IRAN,IRAN
