Targeting the U.S. With ‘Covert Activities’: Beck Investigates Soros’ Role in Worldwide Unrest

“I want to go back to George Soros and what we’ve talked about because the choice here between us is really clear. The options in front of us are: start to rely on ourselves, start to do the right things ourselves, start to become more self-reliant, start to just follow your heart, do the right thing, or continue to listen to the so-called experts who (I think) are setting up a giant trap for all of us,” Glenn Beck said last week on his GBTV program.

This was Beck’s preface to a serious discussion on billionaire philanthropist and currency speculator George Soros; the man he believes is largely responsible for the world’s economic turmoil.

Joining Beck on GBTV to discuss George Soros and his political connections was Richard Poe, co-author of “The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party.”

“Can you tell me, Richard, first of all, why is no one looking into George Soros?” Beck asked. “Why is this ‘class warfare’ on everybody else except for George Soros?”

“Glenn,” Poe responded, “I would suspect that what happened to you when you went after George Soros may have a lot to do with that.”

What does he mean?

“Probably of anybody on network television, you (when you were on Fox News) went after George Soros more thoroughly and more definitively and giving a lot more details about his covert operations overseas, which is the part of the story that usually is not told,” Poe explained.

“You did more of that than, I think, anyone has ever done on network television. And, of course, I don’t know the inside story like you do, but it appears to me and I think it probably appears to a lot of people in the media and out of the media that you got punished for that. Now maybe that’s not true but that’s how it looked.”

“I think I paid a huge price for going after George Soros. But I ain’t dead,” Beck said, “Quite honestly, I thought that was an option.”

Referencing a recent GBTV Soros exposé, Beck turned to Poe for clarification, saying that Soros is “a guy who seems to either frighten everyone or control everyone.”

“Am I wrong?” Beck asked.

Watch Glenn Beck and Richard Poe discuss how deep Soros’ influence and connections run via GBTV:

“He has tremendous influence and he is a very thin-skinned person by nature,” Poe answered.

“And he seems to have a lot of powerful friends in the government, in the intelligence community, in all kinds of walks of life, and a great willingness to use his connections for personal ends. He does not like to be criticized and I have been astonished in the few years that I have been taking little digs at him (in my own little way), I have been astonished by the extent to which he will react when he is criticized even if someone’s as small as little ‘ol me,” Poe said.

“Yeah, he is very much like Barack Obama,” Beck said.

“These guys are so rarely criticized, they just don’t know how to react. When someone does it, they can’t even believe it!” Beck Laughed.

“I think Soros, there’s a chance that Soros is doing the endgame here of the euro. You’ve studied him enough,” Beck said to Poe. “I’m not sure this is the endgame but this is the beginning of a new phase, at least with his currency crashing in Europe. Do you believe that or not?”

“I believe that Soros, and his minions, and his associates believe this is the endgame. They want it to be the endgame. Soros himself is 81-years old. He has been preparing for this moment his entire adult life. He predicted as far back as 1987 in his book ‘The Alchemy of Finance,’ he called for, essentially, for talking down the U.S. dollar as the global currency of choice. He said that it was time for the dollar to go and to be replaced by some other currency.”

So what conclusions do Poe and Beck draw? That is to say, what can be said definitively about George Soros?

Soros has a “very well-developed theory of how the world should work. He believes, of course, in globalism — although sometimes he denies that he believes in globalism. He believes that we should create a new, essentially a central bank for the entire world, which issues a global currency, which would replace the dollar as the dominant current on earth,” Poe said.

“He has a very, very clearly laid out plan for globalizing the planet. And a big part of this plan, one might even say the biggest part of this plan, as he states very clearly, is to break the power of the United States which he sees as the one force which is strong enough, and stubborn enough, and sufficiently in love with its own independence, to try and stop this from happening.”

Didn’t Glenn run this to ground already? Like the FEMA camps. Like the Caliphate. Like the collapse of the US economy (not the 2007 collapse under Bush, but now), the slaughter that was about to take place in America, the seizure of land by the government, the seizure of guns by the government, hyperinflation, dictatorship, World Government and other end of the world scenarios.

Glenn keeps warning those things are just about to happen, keeps telling us to buy gold and seeds to plant in your back yard to keep your family alive. Glenn profits from your fear both from viewership and from selling gold and seeds and other end-of-the-world products, convincing you to buy those things by telling you that you have to ACT NOW and give your money to somebody to protect yourself. Do you really think he’s interested in your welfare, especially given people are buying the products he’s selling but none of his predictions ever come true?

George Soros again? I guess he’s running out of ideas. Don’t invest in the end of the world. Hang on to those dollars and put them to use elsewhere. Trust you Uncle jzs on this one.

The only bright side in this situation is Soro’s advanced age. Once he is gone, his sons will not be able to follow in Daddy’s footsteps because (fortunately for the world) no one else can possibly run his empire like he has. You have to have a real desire to play God, and very few people have the God complex. (Thank God!)

Do some digging on Soros & Obama. Soros has made more trips (weekly) to the White House than Trumpka (sp) also close ties with Obama. There is a lot at stake in this next election and if Obama gets 4 more years we are in serious trouble. Currently Obama is doing damage in case he doesn’t win ie; the keystone project. He wants unemployment, he wants class warfare he supports the Occupiers…spoilers the progressive party members on both sides of the aisle owned and paid for by Soros & crew. BTW close ties in the WHite House with the Muslim Brotherhood too. Love America and what she stands for? get rid of the spoilers. STAND UP!!!

      MBRIZ <troll

      1. v.,n. To utter a posting on Usenet designed to attract predictable responses or flames; or, the post itself. Derives from the phrase “trolling for newbies” which in turn comes from mainstream “trolling”, a style of fishing in which one trails bait through a likely spot hoping for a bite. The well-constructed troll is a post that induces lots of newbies and flamers to make themselves look even more clueless than they already do, while subtly conveying to the more savvy and experienced that it is in fact a deliberate troll. If you don't fall for the joke, you get to be in on it.

      2. n. An individual who chronically trolls in sense 1; regularly posts specious arguments, flames or personal attacks to a newsgroup, discussion list, or in email for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand – they simply want to utter flame bait.

There has been a conspiracy in the works for a long while to destroy America from the inside and when Obama was elected the last nail was driven home.

Soros strikes me as being a bored & ugly individual who may be insane as well. His only purpose is to cause strife for his own entertainment & amusement which suggests that he is really for all those intents & purposes useless & insane. His behavior & stated goals do not benefit anyone, including himself. Not in any recognizable sense of the word & not in any realizable sense of the real world. Does he truly think he is some kind of worldly guru? Because all I see is outright envy, greed, avarice, the Seven Deadlies here. If he accomplishes nothing but upset and destabilization, then he is corrupt & insane. This nation is its people, not its politicians & we have the ability to change & evolve & alter our system any time we choose to do so. I wonder if Soros can say the same for his insanity? We may crash a few times before we get it right, but Soros will only crash & burn. At some point, people of reason & intellect will see him for what he really is or rather was, because frankly, I don’t think he will live long enough to be a real burden to anyone. History is generally not kind to individuals who do not try to build up anything & garner real respect in their lives, but endeavor to do nothing but tear things down & wreak havoc. No one in their right mind really admires Hitler & Stalin & Lenin ultimately proved they couldn’t be remembered with pride either. Soros reminds me of a mentally challenged child acting out because there’s no more toys to break.

There’s seems to be only one way left to combat this onslaught.
(IF the next election doesn’t quell the tide)…
    Think >>> Mosin–Nagant…
They are cheap, reliable and able to do the job that is going to have to be done.

Nothing more than porn for the Beckerheads and John Birchers. Lazy with actual facts and context Poe wrote more a work of fiction than fact.

We have socialist and liberals trying to ruin our nation from the inside, some poise themselves as socialist like Soros, some poise themselves like democrats like Obama, some poise themselves as conservatives like McCain and Romney. Beck was expecting everyone to accuse Romney of his liberal record so what did Beck do? Done the same thing to Newt, a page right out of Obama’s play book. Romney claims he was a liberal until 7 years ago, he claims he has changed but he has failed to explain what changed him to conservative. The truth is, Romney changed his title to conservative and has concealed his liberal record and beliefs with lies. Romney cannot beat Obama if he is nominated but I would not feel much more secure is any with Romney in the oval office than Obama and I can guarantee you I am a true conservative. Newt has made some mistakes in his conservative career and his conservative career is much more lengthy anyone else in the race. Newt is without a doubt the most conservative man in the race, if there was one a more conservative man I would be for that man. But there is NOT, DON’T BE DECEIVED LIKE SO MANY WERE WITH MCCAIN LAST ELECTION! The talking heads and GOP establishment told you in 2008 that McCain could win, they projected it in there polls, they lied!
    Go Newt

I can’t believe I let Beck pull the wool over my eyes for two years. I was a Beck fan until I saw through the BS when the primaries started. Beck is almost as phony as Obama!

    @GARYM,
C’mon…., Are you really saying that everything that Glenn and his brilliant staff did in the last two years is moot because he is anti Newt?

I too think that he is wrong about Gingrich. Big deal.

The one thing that Glenn said daily when he was on FOX …,do your own research. Make up your own mind.

I learned a lot from Glenn.I thank God that he and his staff had the courage to do what they did.
I’ve said before that Glenn is the Professor I wish that I had when I was in college.

It was Glenn who spoke truth to power. He did it at great personal expense. Do you really think that Ed Henry would have asked Jay Carney if there was a picture of Saul Alinsky hanging in the White House if Glenn had not paved the way? Do you think that Soros would be mentioned on shows like “The Five” and “The O’Reilly Factor” had it not been for Glen? He

I hope Gingrich is the Republican nominee. I do. But I will maintain my admiration and respect for Glenn Beck and staff.

    I thank them.

Glenn is right on the money about Gingrich. If you can watch these and come to any other conclusion I would say you are firmly entangled in the beast’s web and tightly bound waiting for the feast where you are the main dish.
