Tea Party Patriots Cofounder Lashes Out at Republican Field: ‘They’re All Losers’

Tonight on Neil Cavuto’s show, Tea Party Patriots cofounder Jenny Beth Martin had harsh words for more Presidential candidates than just Barack Obama. In fact, according to Martin, if it came down to Barack Obama vs any of the current Republican contenders, she doesn’t know who to pick.

“Nobody is satisfied with the candidates out there,” says Martin. “They’re all losers.”

Her other cofounder, Mark Meckler, doesn’t feel any different. “They’ve caved on every single point of principle since the Republican majority has taken over,” he says. “It’s not a surprise; it’s disappointing, absolutely. It just shows that the revolution has just begun.”

Watch below:

The discontent expressed by these two leaders in the nascent movement is reflective of wider restiveness on the part of the Tea Party. Since the nomination battle began, Tea Partiers have gravitated from candidate to candidate, refusing only to honor Ron Paul with their attention. Some see the refusal to take a second look at Paul as an oversight, while others argue that Paul hasn‘t received Tea Party attention because he’s too much like the unflattering stereotypical image liberals hold about the Tea Party, or too willing to cede ground on American exceptionalism.

Certainly, the Tea Party Patriots are a group that other Tea Partiers can take a cue from. They helped sponsor Glenn Beck’s 9/12 rallies, and helped organize the negative response to Obamacare during the town hall meetings of 2009.

That said, it‘s such a shame Chris Christie didn’t step up when his country needed him.

Can’t believe they said that. Wow! Is that why o-loser’s support is hitting the 50% mark and more for approval because of jokers like this? Get out already if you can’t support our candidate.

      =============================

The GOP and Bush want Obama to win in 2012 so in 2016 Jeb Bush will have a sure chance of getting elected. The Nation will be in such shambles and destroyed that the American people will be so desperate they will vote for the Bush Aristocracy. The GOP is already talking about a brokered convention with Jeb Bush as the nominee. One problem, last week Palin told everyone that she is still available. In a choice between Bush and Palin at a brokered convention, who do you think wins?

This current crop of candidates is the usual lackluster managerial types.

What makes them particularly pathetic is their constant running down of each other instead of using their debate platform to elaborate on why they should be pres and highlighting the abysmal results of this present administration. They have a national audience, but they aren’t telling the country why they need to get Obama out.

And, their top “conservative”…Santorum…..idiotically berated Romney during a debate for not voting to allow black felons to vote, because he said blacks are over-represented in the prison population. It makes a person wonder if this idiot thinks they didnt go to the slammer, because they committed crimes….and usually vicious, brutal ones. They’re 13% of the population yet commit 58% of all violent crimes. This moronic dork talks as if they were arrested on trumped up charges.

Of all the candidates, he’s the worst one.

The Republican voters were so silly as to nominate McCain last time. I don’t look for them to do any better now, especially with such a pitiful field to choose from.

We will solve this from the bottom up; local and states level. If the States flex their muscle DC will crawl back under the rock they belong. The states have more legal authority, man power and firepower.

Vote for anyone you want in the primary, then vote for the actual winner in the general election. If we all do that we win.

      CONTINUED…
      3. STOP saying bad things about any of our candidates.
      4. START saying polite and generally supportive things about our candidates.
      5. Then move-on to important things… LIKE BEATING OBAMA!

      Here’s why…
      1. If we continue to do this silly cut-throat business of each candidate that comes along we end up cutting our own throats. The end result will be four more years of the Marxist-in-Chief.
      2. We know that in the Primary there will be one winner for our side. We don’t know now who it is, but we will have one, that’s a given.
      3. We need to all take an oath or something, tonight, that no matter who wins the Primary, will get your vote in the general election.
      4. Then the most important thing we can do is… All agree to help support whomever the Primary winner is by agreeing to work hard for that person. (Granted, I know not everyone will like the person they are stumping for, but just look at the alternative. Obama…yuch)
      5. Then we must help the professional Actvists to come up with campaigns that focus NOT on our candidate, but focus on how bad Obama is. We must make the entire election about Obama.

If we do all this we can win and win BIG, but if we contunue to scratch and claw at each other Obama is assured a second term. So first we have to find a way to stop the bickering. Then we can once again unite with one glorious goal… TO FIRE OBAMA!

THIS ELECTION IS NOT ABOUT HIRING A SAVIOR – THIS ELECTION IS ABOUT FIRING OBAMA!

Jenny Beth Martin is a media hound, and her sensational remarks prove that she’s not really one of us.

If she has a hard time choosing between Santorum or Romney, and BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, she needs to have her head examined.

I mean seriously…our candidates aren’t the Constitutionalists I wish they were, but at least they’re willing to stand up to Barack Hussein Obama, and to reverse virtually all of his policies, cut cap and balance the budget, rebuild the U.S.Military, cut taxes & spending, stop cozying up to America’s enemies, not bow to everybody, and who knows…maybe they’ll allow for a treason trial for BHO?

The point is that Santorum or Romney are worlds better than Obama. And either of them can beat him. Gingrich can’t, nor can Ron Paul. But Santorum or Romney can.

Would I prefer Jim DeMint, or Glenn Beck, or Allen West?

      Absolutely.

But they’re not running. And now that Sarah Palin has endorsed John McCain, Carly Fiorina, and Newton Leroy ‘Newt’ Gingrich, all hardcore ‘Progressives,‘ we can all be grateful Palin isn’t getting in the race.

With any of the current Republican candidates (except Ron paul) in the White House, the conservatives will be lulled back to sleep, like we where when Bush was in office. At least with Obama in office, we have a chance that Americans will continue to be awaken to the fact that their liberities are evaporating. Thus, in the long run, we are better off with Obama in office even if it causes short term pain.

But all any Republicrats in office do is fall for the same Dem scams, then act shocked when media spins GOP as evil. Mitt as the GOP’s “best bet” against Obama? Mitt is the absolute WORST type of politician: he’s outspoken about being pro-baby killer & Obama‘s inspiration to gov’t. control on fleecing healthcare & the taxpayers as well. So now he’s a conservative? Same morons, yes, Republicrats, lie & spin Ron Paul’s words around, calling him a radical & would cut our defense. LIE-he wants to pull military bases out of unfriendly subversive nations we‘re paying 100’s of billions annually for a parking place! Obama’s about to cut 80% of nukes. Paul wants our nation to build defense, stop paying interest on loans while dishing out funds for enemies, eliminate all of these whacky assistance programs. Force the federal reserve to disclose accounting. But our citizens are so accustomed to giving up our freedoms and believing the BS fed to them they’ll listen to GOP telling us who can beat Obama. Neither party wants Ron Paul to win because he’s honest, ethical, and cannot be bought, & will hold them ALL accountable. And ol’ Johnny NASCAR & Joe 6-pak believes those who have the most to lose & don‘t know why Ron Paul’s been re-elected 20 years, & why they call him Dr. NO!!! Never mind. Nobody cares….

First of all … Where’s the video? It does not appear.

Second, A lot of the comments here are made on the false premise that they said they’d vote for O No.

That’s incorrect. They‘re just expressing disappointment with the other choices and there’s value in that because it says to the candidates if you want us to vote for you, win the primary, but if you want our help, support and passion, then step up and make some solid commitments that tell us that you’re with us, for a small government, for dismantling the progressive structure and for restoring principles and proper education to our schools.

We may see the birth of a new party in our lifetime. It depends on our 2012 success and what we get for our efforts.

Allen West and Marco Rubio are the best examples of TEA Party Candidates that I can see. I look forward to the day that I can vote for each of them on top of a national ticket.

      Pence and Demint great too.

Ron Paul is riding the right horse, but he’s on the wrong trail.
The way that he describes our defensive actions makes us sound like Obama makes us sound, like something to apologize for. His other military ideas just sound like a vacuum manufacturing self destruction plan. I’m with him on small government, auditing the Fed etc., but the common defense IS constitutional! He doesn’t seem good at it.

Heck, I’m hoping Chairman Ann (Coulter) is right and that Romney is actually enough of a stealth conservative that he’ll make a difference.

If it weren‘t for the fact that allowing THE WON another term in office means that he’ll be able to place more Supreme Court justices, I’d be torn too. When 40% of the American populace is so abysmally stupid that they believe THE WON is doing a good job or that Socialism is a positive thing, y’all really need to consider how minimal the impact of Glenn and the “right” have been.

The Progressives need their metaphorical teeth smashed into the asphalt, so that any bleeding heart wanting to spread the wealth around tucks his or her tail – rather than calling everyone else a *-ist for not agreeing with them. Just watch – if we get one of the Republican Progressives into office, the Left will spin on a dime and make the societal collapse all our fault. Its not BS, there are two fronts in this war of freedom.
The front against the Progressive left and the front against the Progressive Republican Establishment.

Either we need a third party or we need a ‘fully in’ Republican party to win this war.

Unfortunately the Republican establishment is convincing more and more of us, that it will have to be completely and utterly destroyed and then rebuilt to achieve this end.

If it means we have to temporarily sacrifice one front, to eliminate another, that might be the only way.
We can’t maintain this two front war for much longer as both sides have steadily made progress towards eliminating our freedom.

Money and power is all they are now after. The Tea Party Patriots has lost their way and their credibility. This is the same Mary Beth Martin that supported GoProud in last years CPAC. She is drunk with power but this is all an illusion because when push comes to shove she has no power. The tea party groups are all autonomous and independent. Not all believe as she does. I might vote for the nominee, but let me ask you a question. If you keep accepting the garbage spewed out by the GOP establishment, how will you ever get anything else? Many GOP voters are like a wife in an abusive relationship. The GOP keeps treating you like garbage…but you keep coming back for more hoping this time they really will be “conservative.” I know the Dems are socialists…but half the bloody GOP is right there too. Maybe another McCain like debacle will wake people up…Having said that 4 more years of Obama and a limp wristed Congress that allows him to violate the Constitution at will may destroy the nation. Nice Hobson’s choice we have….

I absolutely agree with Jenny ans Mark – they‘re loser RINO’s and not what I stood up for, ‘from the beginning’, they are exactly what I, and millions of others, ‘stood up against’ !
Voting for either one of them will not cure anything that ails this country, not over spending, wasting taxes or shrinking Government !
Which is exactly what we had in the so-called “compassionate conservative” in Bush and what we have on our road to destruction with comrade slObama !

If Obama is a totalitarian Marxist, you are Hugo Chavez’s kid sister and can pick up dog **** with your teeth while your hands are tied behind your back in your apron strings.

Hard to believe that the possibility is that Anyone who calls Obama a liar is an hypocritical and/or racist who lies about this man’s religion, his birth certificate, his policies, etc. And who died and made them deciders on what’s truthful and what isn’t.

They lied about his religion, his birth certificate, his relationship with normal people, his sexuality, etc.

The list goes on and on, but that’s why websites like Politifact, Factcheck, TruthorFiction, etc. exist…

What is the factual basis for suggesting that President Obama is a Marxist? I know that the conservative talking heads frequently repeat that mantra, but I have yet to hear anyone substantiate that claim with real information.

This Republican congress, along with the far right base, is the most hateful, disrespectful, lying group of men and women in this country’s history.

Obama isn’t out to destroy the country, get your head out of your behind!

They are destroying this country because they hate Obama and are now playing with women’s health. Every woman and man should be deeply disturbed by what this congress has done and are doing.

With that said, I did agree with Mark and Jenny. I can’t really get 100% behind any of these candidates. I am so tired of holding my nose to vote for a rino, I can’t stand it any longer. I know if I don’t vote it is over. Too many issues on the table, the Supreme Court a HUGE one, that nobody seems to look at. So the best I can do is hope for a convention and someone to step up at the last minute. Wishful thinking. I hope I can eventually get behind the republican candidate. However, there is a reason the Dem’s and Rovian Republicans want Romney so bad. Same reason why McCain became our nomination.

      BlueBonnet,
Maybe the following will help you feel better, and the others here that feel like we are ‘screwed’.
If we follow our normal path to the Presidency I have to agree with you that things look VERY bleak. However, there is a way out of this mess if we simply alter our thinking.
The thing that is depressing everyone is that none of the GOP candidates are special. That’s right, NONE of our candidates are special. Knowing this we need to look at this election a completely different way. STOP right this very minute trying to push your particular candidate on anyone, and I mean all of you. If someone does bring up a candidate simply say nice things about them and then move along to something more productive. Keep in mind that we have an army of people from Obama’s side trying to de-rail us (and doing a good job of it), and we have also had a heck of a time with Ron Paul supporters. Ooops, I almost forgot we also have the ‘Establishment Republicans’ that have helping to fuel the feeding frenzy between us. Well it is time to STOP the division. Take away their power of division. Time to STOP the nonsense and get back to BEATING OBAMA LIKE THE DOG THAT HE IS.
Ok, let me do it this way…
      1. STOP pushing any of our favorite candidate. Tonight!
      2. STOP falling into the traps laid-out in front of us by the 3 powerful entities I mentioned above.(two of which are supposed to be on our side)

Do not worry, we are not screwed, there is a lot of good news. We are going to have a brokered convention. Romney’s campaign is starting to go down the tubes, election fraud and all, Santorum and Gingrich cannot get over 500 delegates as they are not on the ballots and Ron Paul is getting the majority of delegates as he is a force for liberty. With a brokered convention, the delegates are freed up to vote for any candidate they want. Whoever has the most loyal delegates, will win, and we all know how dedicated Paul supporters are.

For many conservative Republicans, the dream outcome of the 2012 primary season is a brokered convention. Disappointed in the four remaining choices, they hope to change horses in August, at the end of the primary stream. drafting their preferred candidate, be it Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, or ???

But as sure as Jeb Bush will be proposed, so will Sarah Palin. She is now and always has been the singular Reaganesque super-star voice in the original Tea Party phenomenon; the only one who can bring it to the mainstream. Her absence from the primary race has left a vacuum and no substitute has been found. Every other possible or potential leadership hopeful has risen and receded in this already seemingly long Republican primary season.

All reports from the CPAC conference, the former Alaska governor received far and away the most spirited and enthusiastic reception at the convention of about 10,000 conservative activists. She drew the audience to its feet more than a dozen times during her keynote address on Saturday. “The cheers for Palin were so loud that they drowned out her remarks again and again,” he writes. “Conference organizers had to set up three overflow rooms to accommodate the throngs of supporters eager to hear her words.”
Sarah Palin bated clean-up at CPAC and hit a home run! Her appearance reminded CPAC’s attendees how much they missed her. Palin was/is the conservative super-star. She brought the red meat to CPAC and

I dont think you understand what it means to be a representative. When the government takes the citizens money and the entire system is set up for pork – how can your representative not FIGHT to get ‘your share’ of the money back? I havent heard any studies, but i am sure Ron’s district gets way less money than others. It is one thing to put the pork in and it is indeed a separate thing to vote for the bill. It is unfortunate – but that is the way washington currently works. NOBODY has worked harder to change this system than Ron Paul.

FYI – Mr Santorum is 100 times worse on this issue because the requested AND voted for the bills.

Republicans only want small government when it comes to the safety net for “we the people” their corporate welfare takes a much larger chunk of money and their job creators are not creating jobs. There is an article by Forbes Magazine (a usually Pro-Corporation-Pro-Business Company.)that is a must read. They are angry at what large corporations have done to destroy America and True Capitalism. During the years that they have been the recipients of huge tax breaks, subsidies, incentives etc they have moved more and more jobs overseas and reduced pay and benefits of the employees they have retained. All during a time when they have the largest profits in American history. Forbes calls it the highest form of GREED they have ever seen. Forbes would not be speaking out against these Corporations if what they were doing was not destroying the very people and country that made them rich? WHY in gods name are we rewarding these corporations If you read the article and add that to the Wallstreet/Financial collapse you will truly know without doubt what caused our financial meltdown and destroyed the America that we once knew. Please Google “The Dumbest Idea In The World,Maximizing Shareholder Value” If it makes you angry, Pass it on. Millions of jobs sitting in congress for months, because the jobs are tied to “eliminating the meant to be temporary tax cuts for these same corporations”. Please google the article and see if you agree with Forbes. It is unbelievable and intention

The Tea Party has been dead for a long time.

Everyone forgets the Tea Party movement was a LIBERTARIAN movement. Not a Republican movement. Not a conservative movement. A libertarian movement.

Which was then immediately hijacked by the Republicans and “conservatives” into the horrible abomination that it is today.

huh? The Tea Party was not a libertarian movement. It was and is a fiscal conservative movement. Everyone has their own ideas I guess but that is why I have been for it. I agree with most libertarian views but I can not get on board with making drugs legal and total isolationism from the world. That is a recipe for disaster, imho.

Well, seeing as Beck and similar conservative voices have worked to quash the fiscal part of the Tea Party (do you ever hear him mention Tom Woods or Peter Schiff anymore? No! He only claims “economists” tell him, without giving their names) it’s hard to find a place in this political landscape anymore.

Very true the Tea Party Movement was exactly and ONLY the libertarian movement. The NeoCons hijacked it into what it is now. It is completely a hypocrit at the highest level to state you are a strict fiscal conservative EXCEPT with war spending. That is NOT a strict fiscal conservative that is a NEOCON who is only “conservative” UNLESS it’s an issue the feel is extremely important. And that about sums up your ignorance in one statement, good job. Your so called “conservative” plan has been working so great huh? Like you said, constitutionalist, “no thanks”, you would prefer we keep borrowing more money to start more wars. I‘m not sure what you don’t understand about being $16,000,000,000,000 in debt. Wars cost money, and we don’t have money, because we don’t follow the constitution, the constitution you want no part of. So how about this? I’ll make you a deal. Elect a constitutionalist who will go on defense for a while, and when we get our house back in order, you can play nation builder and police man of the world some more.

      Posted on February 15, 2012 at 10:56pm

Garbagecanlogic, Jenny and Mark are absolutely NOT the founders of the TP movement.

The Tea Party movement that started in early 2009 was not the work of one person or group. Glenn Beck started his “We Surround Them” thing, which then became the 9-12 Project in March 2009. In February 2009, Rick Santelli of CNBC had his now infamous rant on the Dem’s Homeowners Affordability and Stability Plan. It was Beck‘s organizing of people and Santelli’s remarks that served as the catalyst for the true grass roots Tea Party.

Tea Party Patriots was started in Atlanta, GA by Amy Kreamer and Jenny Beth Martin. At some point, Amy became active with Tea Party Express, leaving TPP. TPP is part of Freedomworks, which is Dick Armey’s group. I’m not sure if he was part of TPP from the start or what. Freedomworks hosted and bankrolled much of the 9/12/2009 rally in DC. Why 9/12/2009? That came from Glenn Beck’s notion of how our country came together on 9/12/2001, the day after 9/11/2001.

Martin and Meckler do not deserve credit for the founding of the TP movement. Glenn Beck and Rick Santelli were the catalyst. They did not work in tandem but their actions started the Tea Party Movement.

They have learned well from observing the Saul Alinsky tactics of the Progressive Fascists. They are the ones who embarass the reasonable Paul supporters who chose The Constitution over The Artticles of Confederacy.

BUT… one has to wonder what the vocal minority (VERY minority) nut-job Truthers/Occupiers/Neo-Nazis that cast a bad light on the rest of Paul’s supporters will do if, say, Paul drops out and endorses Santorum. I‘ll bet their little pinheads will explode like a WWE wrestler’s ‘roid bachne.

Santorum = a pro-life liberal. And there are too many people duped into believing he is something he is not. He’s no conservative, he’s a big spender. So for all the “conservatives” like Rush, Levin and Beck who claim to want to cut spending to carry the water for this guy says a lot about these individuals. Ron Paul is in the race and he is the only one with a serious spending cut plan and they call him a kook. Let’s face it: In order to be considered a good conservative the only prerequisite is to be in favor of undeclared wars. You can be bad on everything else, but as long as you’ll send our youngsters into undeclared wars, Hannity, Rush, et al. will take you seriously as a candidate. If you question the wisdom of stretching our military thin and having 900 bases in 130 countries, then you’re a lunatic. That about right?

Hypocrite Rick is right about one thing, though: Earmarks aren’t the problem. I learned a long time ago that attacking earmarks is people like McCain’s way of deflecting attention from their terrible records on other issues. My Congressman makes a big deal about requesting no earmarks, then he goes and votes for TARP and raising the debt ceiling $2 trillion. Earmarks are a drop in the bucket compared to that.

ha. you think America is going to stop at its own borders? that is laughable. has it in the past 50 years? this is a NWO agenda. the whole world is going to be economically and environmentally enslaved when this is said and done, that is, if we all don‘t wake up and realize that violence isn’t solving our problems and “faith backed” money only works until other nations find out it’s fake and want to stop using it. then you have to force them to take it through sanctions and war, etc.

people, there is Always a way to change behavior without creating laws and regulations (initiating force upon others)… and since we own ourselves and our property it is never right to steal\con or damage anyone’s person or property… that is a natural law.

All disputes can be solved through natural law… if it’s not your property you have no claim to it. it’s that simple. if it is your property you have all rights that come with that property. defending it, caring for it, etc…
