Tebow: ‘The Most Important Thing In My Life Is My Relationship With Jesus Christ’

Tebow Sits Down With ABCs Robin Roberts to Talk Faith & Football

This morning, “Good Morning America’s” aired an exclusive interview between Robin Roberts and soon-to-be New York Jets star Tim Tebow. Known for his deep faith and devotion to family, Tebow delved into his thoughts about his life, a new team and his hopes and dreams for the future.

“It’s pretty easy for me to say that the most important thing in my life is my relationship with Jesus Christ, followed by my relationship with family. And football’s later on down the line,” the football player told Roberts, going on to later admit that he, too, has flaws. ”I’m not perfect. And who knows how many times I’ve fallen short. We all fall short. That’s the amazing thing about the grace of God…”

As far as his big move to New York is concerned, Tebow appears more than prepared — and “excited.”

“That’s what so cool about it…The fans are so passionate. And I’m so passionate. I feel like it’s going to be a great mix there,” he said.

The famed football player also went on to discuss his personal life and the ongoing relationship rumors that are frequently reported in media. Tebow’s mother, too, appears briefly in the interview.

At least TRY to get the analogies you babble somewhere in the ball park, if you want to be taken seriously. Im guessing your a statistic fanatic. Considering tims numbers, your right, he’s not looking very good. No reason to be so cynical though. He’s a standup guy, with the kind of charisma this sport needs. stats arent everything. Can you even imagine if a muslim pulled out a prayer mat, pointed it west and gave thanks to Allah?
There would be a call for his head if the crowd didn’t rush the field and take it.

So yours must be to hate anyone that has faith in Christ right? …Well, in order to show how righteous athieism is of course…

Careful, your hypocrisy is showing again.

“Can you even imagine if a muslim pulled out a prayer mat, pointed it west and gave thanks to Allah?”

Let see what other statement this would have been equal to the value of your statement.

Athiesm, Can you imagine if an athiest broke the arm off a cross in the endzone or torn down a mural?
Homosexuality: Can you imagine if two guys started dry humping?
Black Power: Can you imagine all of the player in color stood silently in the endzone as a group and scowled at their white companions outside of the group and then slipped on a black hood?
Socialist: Can you imagine if both teams ran in the end zone and silently stood their with their fist in the air?
Abortion: can you imagine that they pretend that one is giving birth look at the baby in disgust, throw it on the ground, stamp on it and then the birther shakes their hand and thanks them?
Hispanic: Can you imagine if he looked both way cautiously in the end zone to get back on the field and then ran holding the hands of his teammates urging them along?

Tebow, as far as we know, believes in Jesus Christ. All he does is talk about it and gives him reverence. He hasn’t killed anyone, doesn’t plan to. The only reason you are afraid of him is the potential he has to lead others to Christ. And personally its a shame to even think that

Um. What? First of all, atheism is not a religion. It is, simply, the lack of belief in god(s). Why would we break a cross or “tear a mural”? What the heck does that even mean? I have no idea how this shows any hypocrisy in the OP’s comments. No atheists who play football do this. Only Christians “bold in their faith” get on one knee in prayer before a sporting event to ask God to favor his team over the other. Most players have enough respect for others and themselves to keep their beliefs personal and not a public affair.

The rest of your argument just made me laugh. “imagine two guys dry humping”. Lol.

This may be ‘casting pearls before swine’ but here goes… that still small voice is called revelation, and it can be quite useful, but (and it’s a big one..) God generally doesn’t talk to the unbelieving because 1) He has said most of what they need in this book called the Bible, and, 2) they likely wouldn’t recognise Him in the first place; and 3) He is most often speaking to you because you are speaking to Him. Sorry if you feel left out, but there is a solution to all of this..
With respect to Mr Tebow, it is nice to see another young man with great athletic ability have something of substance to fall back on when the arm and the knees don’t want to take the punishment that football is sure to inflict on him. His investment is sure and he has an eternity to spend it…

Not everyone who calls Lord Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Ephesians 5:3-7
“But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. 1 John 2:3 We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 1 John 2:4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him” 1 John 3:6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him” John 14:15 “If you love me, you will obey what I command” John 14:21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me” John 14:23 “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching” John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love” 1 John 5:3 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome” 2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands” Deuteronomy 13:4 It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Ke

Any chance 13th Generation that you might want to look at your own hypocrisy?

Tebow needs to take on an antiwar stance and then YOU will have respect for him? REALLY? And what next after that?

This young man plays football. He has given an enormous amount of his time in service to others.
Kids with CANCER….Kids with LIFE THREATENING health issues….3rd world country kids with extraordinary NEEDS….He lives his life in service to God and to a lot of people out there who are just in need.

Then he gets on the gridiron against 350 lb + LINESMEN whose job is to stop his forward movement on the football field and GETS BACK UP WITH A RENEWED PURPOSE TO PLAY A BETTER GAME.

His detractors? Anyone and everyone that want him to conform to THEIR standards and beliefs. Or perhaps any Ron Paul supporter that needs him to use the stage for HIS own purpose.

Antiwar 13th? Please stop. Write to all those politiicans who CAN make a difference in stopping our wars (you may want to start with the POTUS)….show your displeasure for those who actually can do/but won’t do something about which you feel so strongly.

GO TIM TEBOW! FIGHT THE FIGHT AND GET UP AND TAKE THE HITS (LITERALLY & FIGURATIVELY)…You, sir, are a breath of fresh air and an inspiration to all of us Christians out here that rejoice in your enthusiastic love and committed service for Christ!

My wife and I love Tim Tebow, we have our #15 Denver jerseys and will still wear them proudly. We love last season and the exciting games he pulled out for us, especially when we were expecting to go 5-11. BUT, Tim, you need to work on your passing and quick reads, or you will be an afterthought in the NFL. I love that you honer God, but, if you earn your money playing football, you can take those millions and do a lot more of Gods work. Just saying, work on your passing, but pray on it, Jesus should give you insight on reading a blitzing defense and being able to pass to your checkdown reciever. Hut Hut.
