Teen Arrested for Throwing Brick That Gravely Injured 4-Year-Old Girl

A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested after a brick he threw at a van hit and badly injured a 4-year-old girl. The incident occurred in the UK.
The toddler endured a broken nose, two lost teeth, and a swollen lip:
The BBC reports:
A teenager has been charged over an incident in which a four-year-old girl was hurt when she was hit in the face by a brick thrown through a van window.
The girl’s father, 23, had confronted a group of youths for kicking a ball at his vehicle on Hildyard Street, Grimsby, on Thursday.
The brick came through a window, hitting Jersey-Lou Perry in the face.
The 17-year-old boy will appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with attempted wounding.
Jersey-Lou’s grandmother Mandy White said she was “in tears” when she saw her injuries.
From Independent Television News comes this interview with the local inspector. “Violence such as this is very rare in this area,” he said.

Report Post »The same thing happened to me the last time I was in the UK. A group of kids who should have been in their homes started throwing rocks at our van for no reason. Luckily they didnt hit any windows. I told the guy to turn around thats why they made bumpers! He said no tey would just all gang up on us. This happens all over the UK everyday!

Posted on April 21, 2011 at 12:38amAgree but to make it a deterrent: the teen has to be tied down, left there for a bit under blinding bright spot-lights while everything around is bitch black – no way to know what’s beyond their position, the father of the injured child gets to throw the brick, but first he steps into the light, annouces the child injured was his, then makes at least two false (fake-out) throws before he lets it fly … that would be appropriate justice. Sick – I know, but old-school justice. There needs to be some kind of deterrent.

When the father confronted the kids chances are that was the FIRST time anyone corrected him.. my guess is thus far EVERYTHING he’s done was PRAISED by his parent.. tends to make these kids feel they are ALWAYS RIGHT..
