Teen Atheist Behind Prayer Mural Ban Threatened with Rape: ‘We Will Get You — Look Out!’

Teen Atheist Jessica Ahlquist Receives Letter Threatening Rape & Physical Danger: We Will Get You Look Out!

Teen atheist Jessica Ahlquist

Jessica Ahlquist, the 16-year-old atheist who made national headlines after winning a battle to have a prayer mural removed from her high school in Cranston, Rhode Island, continues to receive threatening messages. But the latest letter to arrive at her home would make even the bravest individual quiver.

The message within it gives Ahlquist, who has been praised by church-state separatists but derided by those who supported the presence of the banner at Cranston High School West, legitimate reason to fear for her safety. The writer references rape and pledges to “get her.” The disturbing message also makes a point to note the teen’s relatives, including her sister and father, and advises that her sister “watch her back.”

Ahlquist originally shared the note on Twitter along with the hashtag #christianlove. Of course, there’s no way of telling if the note came from a Christian — or even if the threats are credible. Police, though, are reportedly investigating. Here’s a screen shot of the tweet (via the Friendly Atheist):

Teen Atheist Jessica Ahlquist Receives Letter Threatening Rape & Physical Danger: We Will Get You Look Out!

“The cops will not watch you forever,” the letter begins. “We will get you good.”

The note concludes with some startlingly strong and threatening language against Ahlquist.

“Get the f**k out of R.I. you bitchin whore. You are nothing more than a sex-toy of a slut,” the text reads. “Maybe you will gang-banged before we throw you out of one of our cars. We will get you — look out!”

So far, Ahlquist hasn’t responded to local outlets seeking comment.

I don’t agree with her views and believe she is nothing more than a pawn and now she is learning what being a pawn means.
Christians are told to turn the other cheek and not to judge others, but that is being used against us.
At what point do we say enough is enough?
At what point do we stop talking and start taking action?
Now with having said that, I personally believe it is her own group sending her that letter because she is a great pawn to use and this will bring even more attention to these Godless people.
Sorry kid, but you brought this upon yourself.
I would watch my back if I were you, I wouldn’t put it past your own group hurting you and trying to blame Christians for those actions.
Life is tough but even tougher for morons.

^^^ I truly am sorry that you feel that way and have been shown by some religious people a side that is rude, uncaring and generally awful. Not all Christians are, just some, but like any large group of people, the rudest ones generally are the loudest about their beliefs and can get very self righteous. at the core of Christianity is that God is Love. LPHP, I know you see love in your life, that is what God is all about. Have a great day

There is no point to say enough is enough. Jesus did not stutter. Turn thee other cheek means turn the other cheek. Search the gospels and see. The blood of the new covenant changed EVERYTHING. Mustard seed faith literally moves mountains. Even the ones that pose a viable threat to your safety. Few find it. I am not saying self defense is completely off limits….but its close, and if you have seen Him then you know what I mean. Humility is powerful….its just not your own power, its His. And it works mightily if we can abandon ourselves and truly walk in His strength. Then it is His strength made mighty in our weakness….and only then. When you walk like this, even your “friends” will abandon you, because they are skeptical. You must have an agenda, you must want something, you must be…….NO…..its because you have seen “Him.” And now you know you are dust (and just dust without HIM). Wheat and tares my friend, do not be discouraged. Bless you.

@lesbianpacking……….I saw nothing hateful in Disgustedinct’s post. He stated a fact. This girl is a pawn, she is being used and she was thrilled by her position of power over Christianity. The liberals and the atheists took one sentence out of the Bible, turn the other cheek, and has used that sentence as a bludgeon for decades. If we Christians had shown a little spine instead if sitting on our pious butts over the years America might not be in the shape it is in now.

The only reason this gets in the news in the first place is because she has taken her seat with those who also hate God. I doubt very seriously this came from a real Christian because anyone who has repented and received Christ is not going to do something like this.

I think at the center of EVERY heart is a tiny core of hate.

Why is it you are packing hollow points? To love thy neighbor or turn the other cheek? To love thy enemy? Why not pack a round that will cause a little less damage?

Religious people are no more perfect than non-religious. We all are human. You can’t put religious people into that category without including everyone else.

The challenge is to try to be like him, Jesus who was perfect.

Why would athiests do it? The same reason that blacks were caught burning crosses in front of buildings. It’s done to bring hype, media coverage and sympathy to the “victim”. It’s called a publicity stunt. I don‘t know if that’s what happened or not but, I do know this: whoever wrote this letter is not a born-again diciple of Jesus Christ nor do they even claim to be. It of itself is contrary to every command Jesus gave to His followers. Most christians don’t care. She had mural taken down. Ohhh, that shakes my faith. True believers expect both hatred and persecution just as Christ promised would come because the ungodly hates Christ. So they naturally hate his people. We pity this poor girl, not hate her.

The amount of hate you encounter from someone with respect to their beliefs is inversely proportional to how seriously they take their beliefs and how strongly you reject their beliefs.

A committed atheist who confronts a fundamentalist Young Earth Creationist is going to have a far more negative encounter than an agnostic confronting an occasional churchgoer who believes that God is the perfect answer to any gaps in our current scientific understanding.

Think about it from the theist’s perspective, if they’re trying to save you from eternal damnation, can they justify any actions to that end? They certainly have done so in the past.

      I need to clarify this:
      I love it.
Liberal pukes like you p*****ng and moaning in the wind because people like me speak our minds.
Of course because we do, we are hateful,

I put the comma in the wrong place it should be like this and I should have added this.

Of course, because we do we are hateful to people like you,

      I’m not truly hateful,
I’m just tired of the bull,
I’m tired of the attacks on the christian faith,
I’m tired of liberals trying to regulate every aspect of our lives,
I’m tired of liberals trying to dicate how I should live my life.
I’m tired of liberals trying to tell me how I should speak and think of others.

      One good example: Gay marriage
I believe this is wrong completely, marriage is between a man and woman.
What I do believe in is a civil union that allows gays all the same benifits.
We had this in CT but the gays kept pushing it demanding marriage.
Why? they had the same rights in a civil union, why marriage?
To break down traditions of course to make being gay acceptable.
What you do in your house is your business and between you and GOD, when you shove it in my face it becomes my business.
When you try to teach my kids it is an acceptable way of life, I draw the line. Being gay is a choice and a life style not a way of life.
But of course because I am vocal, I am hater, homophobic, etc…
Sorry I don’t care, I will still speak my mind regardless.

“At what point do we say enough is enough?
At what point do we stop talking and start taking action?”

Apparently that point is when a teenager is threatened with rape and you want to tacitly support it.

“Now with having said that, I personally believe it is her own group sending her that letter because she is a great pawn to use and this will bring even more attention to these Godless people.
Sorry kid, but you brought this upon yourself.”

Ah, innocent until proven guilty being thrown out the window. Not even a call to look into finding who sent the letter; just automatic judgment.

I cannot for one second believe you worship Jesus Christ. No one who listens to His words in the Bible would support the things you’ve said. Judging others? Condoning rape threats? “You get what you deserve?” Let me tell you something: ALL humans are flawed and we all deserve an eternity without God. But know what? Jesus forgives and loves us, and gave unto us a new Commandment: to love others as he loves us. Drop the hate. Follow the Lord. I’ll pray that this girl does the same.

      @Lesbian

Do you really believe this girl came up with this idea to remove a mural? She got up one morning and decided, yep this is what I am going to do today?

I don’t believe for a minute that a Christian threatened her with rape.

That came from a sick person. And I feel sorry for this girl.

She is 16, how was she going to know what atheists are really up to. What they would do to her.

This has all been instigated by atheists.

Now they are hiding behind rumors and false threats.

They will use her until they will drop her.

These atheists are shameless people. Full of hate and they don’t care one bit for this girl.

      Typical of atheists.

They cannot stand alone in their hate, so they evangelize and use even little children.

What fools. They don’t even know that they are useful tools for satan.

Atheists, who do this to kids have a special place reserved just for them.

Just like muslims, who teach their children to hate and kill.

They too have a special place reserved for them.

But as long as they live they have a chance to change their destination.

Sorry we Christians gave you the wrong idea
That lead to your sweeping analogy of us.
We as Christians are human too.
We at the present, are witnessing a full assault on Christianity and
      our whole way of life..
Please excuse some here, for being a tad short with somewhat callused
opinions toward people, that our Bible shows us,
will be used ;deceived and lead astray , in this war on Christianity .

This Girl put herself right smack-dab in the middle of this war..
And yes this girl is being used..

I do Not condone the behavior of whomever TWEETED her
with such hate …but my first thought of that is ..
Whoever talked like that is NOT a Christian.
there is nobody that has a close relationship with our Lord Jesus..
and carries this kind of conduct …

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things
have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

This person who wrote that tweet ..Follows another..
And is NOT a Christian…We shall know them by there fruits….
Well… this is NOT one of the fruits becoming of a Christian.

We all know as Christian.. We are to hold to a higher standard .
And as such.. We should be careful how we say things.
      The Lord Jesus.. Tells us..
.it’s NOT what goes IN the mouth ..But what comes OUT of it..
      That defiles a man ..
And your generalized comment broad-stroking the whole Christian
Community …is one of the reasons.

The phrase “Turn the other Cheek” isn’t what some take it as, it means to insult the person that just slapped you on the face. Because it forces them to use the other hand or the back of the hand that hit you. It’s an insult to them, it doesn’t mean to look the other way as many have come to take it.

If the persecuted person “turned the other cheek,” the discipliner was faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed.[4] The other alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, by turning the other cheek the persecuted was in effect demanding equality.

      @ Coelitus:
You posed the only question to me of any real substance. Bravo.

I carry hollow points because they have proven stopping power. Not killing power. Not maiming power. Stopping power. If god forbid (to coin a phrase) I am ever pressed to defend my life with deadly force, I want that defense to come in the form of hollow points because they have the greatest likelihood of stopping my attacker with a single hit.

Were I to defend myself with a simpler round, ball, truncated cone, etc., it becomes highly more likely that I may fire at my attacker, hitting them, and yet not terminating their attack on me. That will necessitate firing another round, hitting my attacker through a completely different wound channel than before. If my attacker is hopped up on drugs or incredibly persistent, I might even have to fire a third time, forming yet another wound channel, doing even more damage to their vital organs before their body experiences enough shock to force them to terminate their attack upon my person.

All of this greatly increases the probability that I will have had to actually kill my attacker in order to preserve my own life. I don’t want that.

A JHP round, because it forms a larger, single wound channel and imparts all of its energy to my attacker, is far more likely to terminate their attack on me with far less damage to themselves, increasing their own likelihood of surviving their foolhardy attack. There’s also the issue of over-penetration to consid

Are you serious? Christians make it their life‘s mission to tell us what’s right and wrong.

To say you have no problem with this 16 year old from being gang raped and thrown out of a (more than likely) moving vehicle is sickening. These are Christians in anger over a prayer mural, willing to commit multiple crimes!!!

She didn’t commit a crime yet you have no problem having her body, her property, being violated against her will.

Who are you people? How is a lowly Agnostic like myself have more compassion for those that have a difference of opinion then the great followed of compassionate Jesus Christ?

      1. That Christians are taught to “turn the other cheek” is meant to mock the aggressor. Offering the other cheek states that violence will not solve the problem at hand. HOWEVER, Christians are commanded (yes, commanded) to use self defense even deadly self defense against an aggressor. In this case, this woman IS an aggressor and her attackers, to a certain degree, could be justified.

Her fate would serve as a warning to others who wish to trample God’s name and works.

      2. And while the Bible is clear humans are forbidden to judge anothers SOUL, we are commanded to judge their ACTIONS – particularly GRAVE actions like hers. Ezekiel 33: 1 – 9 makes this VERY clear. If she is not warned that what she does is grave and she dies with this sin, we are responsible for her death. But if she is warned and persists, she will die (the second death) and Christians will be save.

      3. That said, Christians must become more militant in their defense of Christ. Not necessairly violent, although violence does have a place, albeit rare. We are comanded to speak and act FEARLESSLY throughout the Bible.

      4. She mocks Christ and Christians. She turns from this or seals whatever fate comes her way.

So anyone going to point out some obvious suspicions?

I STRONGLY suspect that it was either her, her “friends”, or a pissed off suppressed student.

      Why?

Tell me what grade did you STOP using thick lined paper?
There is no perforation on the left or right edge so its not a book, or a composition book so must have come from a ream.

Who in their right mind would buy a ream/box of jr. high school/elementary lined non perferated paper?

      A school would.

Writer was right handed, so that stinks. southpaw would’ve been faster, but what are the odds?

How many would use the words Christians in quotes? It’s not emphasis in my opinion… however a NON BELIEVER in a Christian would find the word foreign or even uncomfortable due to the outrage that they have been receiving from them. Notice I put in the beginning ” her ‘friends’”?, that because I believe that these pro-aclu sheep are NOT her friends, thus a mockery. so, what was the point of quoting Christian? (Capitalizing Christian must’ve killed them.) Taking THAT into consideration, it makes more sense to me.

So, whats the punishment for self threatening via the U.S. mail in R.I.?

      …for a minor?

      I smell a set up.

Thoughts? (Besides your opinion of me ATM, thank you :) )

I fully agree with what you are saying. This girl wanted attention and she is getting attention. This banner that has been hanging for so many years in no way could cause harm to someone that is an atheist or disagrees with what it says. This girl like so many ignorant, wanted her 15 minutes of fame and now has it. I agree that Christians need to stop turning the other cheek and fight back. This doesn’t mean to harm someone physically but do so legally. We as the majority in America have given in so much for so long that we are letting a small few dictate what we can and cannot do. Let me get this straight. You believe that the Bible, in stating one should turn the other cheek, means that following our Constitution and taking down an establishment of religious belief in a public school should be met with gang rape and assault on a 16-year old girl? Do I have that right?

As a Christian, I read your words and wonder what kind of belief you can follow. From a satanist? I could understand it. From a brutal dictator? Sure. But from someone who follows Christ? Never.

I don’t know what you are religiously, but morally you’re an abomination. I don‘t agree with this girl’s belief (or lack thereof), but I also don‘t believe for a second you’d get to heaven before she will.

“When do we say enough is enough?” I feel like atheists are finally saying enough is enough. Christians get everything they want in this country and some of us, not just atheists, have grown tired of it. It’s funny to see a quote like that, as if they are an oppressed minority.

“Sorry kid, you brought this upon yourself. I would watch my back if I were you.” What a disgusting thing to say. I don’t know what a girl of her age could possibly do to deserve to be raped. I’m sorry, but its really hard to justify rape. If she had killed a few people, it could be argued that she in turn should be put to death for those crimes. But no person deserves to be raped. Ever.

“Life is tough but even tougher for morons.” I couldn’t agree more with this sentiment. Studies have found that on average the atheists among us: earn higher incomes, stay married longer, are less likely to end up in jail, make up 97% of the National Academy of Science, live longer and happier lives, have higher IQs, have a deeper understanding of morality and ethics (not “morals and values” real issues pertaining to what is ethically or morally just), and are better critical thinkers. It really must be tough to be a Christian. I mean moron sorry.

Generally I believe the best policy re: atheists is to haul off and leave them alone. Most of them are just seeking their 15 minutes of fame, and I don’t think this girl is any different. If these threats are truly geniune, then turn them over to the authorities, since prayer and asking God for protection aren’t an option (!) If they are made up as some have suggested, then this too will be revealed.
As an historic note, it was reported some years ago that Madelyn Murray O’Hare met a horrible and untimely end. I did not rejoice nor will I if harm comes to this girl. But it must be said that if a person flips God the middle finger, He at least is still a Gentleman and gives the atheist what they desire: a life without Him .

Just keep telling yourself that, Squid. What science doesn’t have evidence for, it doesn’t not promote. “Faith” is useless and not an avenue to truth. The problem with your statement is that science DOES have evidence for why it has the theories it does. It is NOT like religion, which is bound to ONLY “faith in that which cannot be tested/proven”. So, if it makes you feel better, go ahead and kid yourself that “atheism takes more faith”. Just don’t let that pesky evidence get in the way! ;-)

DeavonReye – Science has proven not to be exact. Many scientist have had to change there theories based on new data. You have to have proof for something to exist, where Christians use faith that something exists. I don’t see oxygen, but I have faith and proof it is there because I am still breathing. We do not use faith alone. You act like we completely discount science. You are wrong. Besides science has not disproved a lack of a higher intelligent entity. Thus this is where we use faith. There are parts of the universe scientist can’t explain. What say you about this? For what purpose would the Bible be written other than to tell us where we came from and the rules we should follow that would give us a happy and useful life?

“I’m very curious, “locked”, who died and left you god? And MOST importantly, who gives a crap what YOU think?”

Apparently you do, as you asked me two questions? ;-)

      1. Jesus died, and through faith I learned of eternal salvation with God. I love God, and I love my country; God calls me to love others. My country tells me that people are innocent until proven guilty. Perhaps, Blanc05, one day you too will find Christ and move to the United States!

      2. See above: apparently you do.

Mostly tongue-in-cheek this time, friend. It disheartens me that instead of condemning the abuse this girl gets, your first reaction is to judge her as guilty. I pray you find optimism and hope, and the will to condemn rape threats (as even Avengerk is now doing).

I expect three types of responses from the commentators here, judging by the half-dozen or so things we’ve seen in the past.

    1. She deserves it
    2. She’s faking it for media attention/it’s not really a critic sending it
    3. No one should threaten a teenager, and those making threats should be caught and punished appropriately.

I’ve always sided on the third. Many of the other “regulars” are usually within the first two. Let’s see how it goes this time, yes?

I hope whoever wrote this gets caught, charged, and punished. I don’t believe atheists are right about the Divine, but this girl’s case was correct without a doubt, and she does not deserve the kind of abuse she’s received for standing up for the Constitution, even if it’s from a misguided stance.

Please…don’t belabour this board with your usual deflection..”that’s what you always say AVENGER”. If she’s a “champion” of the constitution as you proclaim then it shouldn’t end at a school prayer on a banner for her should it? It should be the eradication of all religious holidays from the school calendar shouldn’t it? Is this not correct and “constitutional”? The answer you’re collecting your spittle over is “yes- that is correct Avenger” However… because militant atheists like this wretched little girl would have a public relations nightmare on their hands if they began targeting Christian holidays on local, state and federal calendars..they choose to selectively assault Christianity (which is their real agenda, not defending any constitution) by hiding behind the constitution” and dimwits like you applaud them rather than call their bluff. And of course with Alquist as with all militant atheists..I’ve yet to hear her voice her “offense” at being told she cannot attend classes during Easter and Christmas breaks because the school will closed in recognition of them. I’m an even more extreme version of #3. Not only is it wrong to threaten a teenager, it’s wrong to threaten anyone. Violence or the threat of violence can cause you to act against your own rational self-interest. And how often in history has any group of people suffered as a result to being excessively willing to sit down and solve their problems through rationality? It’s kinda funny how you follow this up with “don‘t say that’s what you always say!!!”… because this is what you always say. And I always say the same thing: It’s not her right to go to school when it is closed and demand to be let in; that‘s trespassing and she’ll be arrested. Perhaps when she‘s older she’ll take it to the federal government (you know, where they actually decide federal holidays), not the local school (which can do nothing).

However, I will applaud you; in previous articles you’ve always been the first category, claiming the girl brought this abuse on herself. Now, in separate responses, you’ve somewhat dropped into the third. It’s a stepping stone, but at least it’s in the right direction. Perhaps rape is too unpalatable even for you? However, being a teenage girl once, I could see her writing the letter for attention. I pray that is not the case. As a Christian, I find it hard to think a true Christian would do this, but there are some Christians that take their faith way to seriously. I can’t discount either.

I am happy to hear you’ve found God, although I don’t believe your attitude reflects it. Meet intolerance with intolerance? How about violence with violence? Hate with hate? No. Jesus calls us to be better, to raise above. To turn the other cheek.

“ it says congress shall make no law repsecting the establish of religion”

False. It says Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. Putting a school-sponsored prayer in a public school violates the establishment clause (as can be shown in several court cases). Before you set up some other strawmen:
      - The 14th amendment gives the Establishment Clause protections to states and local government entities as well as the federal government. None of this “It says Congress!” junk, please.
      - Please see the relevant court cases Engel v. Vitale (1962), Abington School District v. Schempp (1963), and Lemon v. Kurtzman (1971).
      - If you want to argue the Supreme Court‘s opinion isn’t valid, please see judicial review in Marbury v Madison (1803), and be advised you’ll be arguing against both reality, and how our country has operated judicially for the past 200+ years.

“I would turn the screws till she cried everyday she had to go to that school and every night when she went home.”

Turn the other cheek, brother. May Christ show you the way. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

I’ll try to respond to each of your points.

“The 14th amendment has nothing absolutely nothing to do with parchment hanging in a high school.”

No, but it does when we reference that the parchment is a “school prayer.” The 14th amendment, as said, gives the protections of the establishment clause to state and local governments as well. Hence, the 14th amendment certainly does apply… if you were going to use a strawman like “It says Congress!” Which you didn’t, so my bad. Or my good, if it stopped you :-)

“More to the point you attempting to apply the establish clause on a state level would infact strengthen my case. The tenth amendment state power not given to congress and not deny by the constitution revert to the state and the people.”

Ah, you are ignoring the 14th amendment. See, the 14th amendment says that states need to follow the federal constitution protections as well. So the 10th no longer applies in the case of establishment.

“WHAT PART OF PROHIBIT THE FREE FREE EXERCISE THER OF DON’T YOU GET”

Tongue-in-cheek? The double free part. Is free free even freer than free?
But seriously, taking down an endorsement of religion on public property is not prohibiting free exercise. Forcing students to adhere to a school prayer does prohibit free exercise of religion.

      (Cont from before)

“Besicly put Religious freedom is an absolute EVEN IN A SCHOOL.”

Indeed! The problem you’re having is that religious freedom is being impinged by having a public school forcing one particular religious view on their students through a school prayer. Thus, by removing the banner and not endorsing a religion, neutrality is once more attained. See? Now everyone has an equal praying field (heh, pun!).

Note that students can still pray, or bring their holy books to school. But the school itself cannot endorse specific religious views, as this banner did. The courts agreed.

“And that little witch would have to leave the state if that was my school. I would turn the screws non-stop she deserve to reap the intolerence she sowed.”

Well, then you’d likely be fired. Let’s list the issues with that:
      - You can‘t carry out a personal vendetta against a teenager if you’re a principal; especially if you yourself were in the wrong (proven legally by the courts in this case)
      - You cannot physically or mentally intimidate a child to the point that she breaks. Heck, it’s not only illegal, it’s immoral. Again, I’m surprised you claim to be a Christian in one breath and demand torturing a teenager in the next.
      - The “intolerance” she sowed can also be called “upholding the Constitution.” I think she’s a busybody, but her case was justified and the school was acting unconstitutionally.

You have her to thank for religious freedom at least!

I pray that the depraved person who wrote that note (probably some classmate at school. Have you seen what goes on in our schools these days?) is found and shut down. I pray that the girl herself someday finds God in this wonderful creation of his and in his people. I pray that the vindictiveness in these comments is revealed as the kabuki theater that most of it is.

Now… let’s move on please? The country is spending itself into oblivion and we are losing real freedoms. Focus on the government, not on its pawns (on either side).

don’t you understand. If the people in the community have a problem with the parchment in the school they have a right to vote on it’s removal at some sort of PTA assembly. It is beyond the CONSTITUTIONAL POWERS OF ANY COURT TO REMOVE IT OR FORCE THE SCHOOL TO REMOVE IT.
Even more to point as far as schools are concerned they aren‘t technically part of any government state or federal the fact that they get tax dollars in irrelivent as there’s no constitutional amendment given the power to the fedearl government to control schools or dictate school policy. No the DOE is just another unconstitutional power grab made in the 70‘s that’s full effect has just started being felt in the last decade.
Soon that fact will be laid out and the DOE will be just another exstinct spiecies.

“What part of OR PROHIBIT THE FREE EXERCISE THERE OF
      don’t you understand.”

None. It simply doesn’t apply in this case. No free exercise of religion is being prohibited; an establishment is (which, you’ll notice, is the first half of the sentence that keep refusing to quote).

” If the people in the community have a problem with the parchment in the school they have a right to vote on it’s removal at some sort of PTA assembly. It is beyond the CONSTITUTIONAL POWERS OF ANY COURT TO REMOVE IT OR FORCE THE SCHOOL TO REMOVE IT.”

False, and false. Local votes do not override federal protections, and the Supreme Court has had judicial review for the past 200+ years.

Even more to point as far as schools are concerned they aren‘t technically part of any government state or federal the fact that they get tax dollars in irrelivent”

False again. Take government money – abide by government rules. Public schools are considered part of the government so far as Constitutional protections are concerned.

“as there’s no constitutional amendment given the power to the fedearl government to control schools or dictate school policy.”

See protections (above) and the 14th amendment.

      “Random doomsaying on the DoE”

Doesn’t change the fact that the legal system of the US is clear on this point right now. It may be overturned in the future but for now, it’s the law of the land.

Man, there are some really stupid people in this world.

Threatening a child with rape because of her beliefs…insane.

I’m wondering about that myself. Why stir up the controversy again? Unless, of course, the atheists are actually trying to manipulate this to make the Christians look bad.

      This is suspicious, very suspicious.

“tell a big lie atell it over, over, over and over”

Such as: The Muslim community center in New York is a “victory mosque”, or Hilary Rosen “attacked” Ann Romney for being a stay-at-home mom, or Obama wasn’t born in the U.S., or that the census will be used to create internment camps, or healthcare reform will create death panels, or Obama is a Muslim…need I go on?
