Teen Bandits Rob Ohio Kids’ Lemonade Stand

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Children selling lemonade in the Cleveland suburbs have told police they were robbed by teenagers who pulled up in a rusty old car and threatened to beat them up.
Eleven-year-old Omar Schpeb says he and his friends got scared and handed over their money. But he tells WJW-TV he chased the car as it drove away and the teens tossed back some of the cash.
The kids estimate they lost at least $13.50 to the thieves, described as two guys wearing blue hoodies and skinny jeans and three teenage girls.
Parents of the children say a kind person donated $20 at the police station in Strongsville to make up for the theft.
Police are asking for tips to track down the teens.

Posted on July 7, 2011 at 10:22amI live in an ethnically mixed neighborhood, and my namesake decribes the protective measures I take in order to preserve my safety–even when I walk outside to put trash cans on the curb or check the mail. Of course, we can’t allow our small 12-year old kids to pack heat, but even in a racially clean neighborhood we need to stand close and be ready to protect them.

Punks nowadays know that if they commit a crime “nothing” bad will happen to them. And, if the citenzens DARE to “take out the trash” SWAT teams will descend upon them like oxygen. So, with no threat of punishment, it goes on and on and on……..

Just what do they find wrong with small fries setting up a lemonade stand and learning the basics of running a small business?
