Caiden Cowger, a 14-year-old radio host, went on a rant against homosexuality in May, which is now going viral on the Web. (Photo: Facebook)

Caiden Cowger is a 14-year-old who hosts a twice-weekly radio show based in West Virginia. It may be safe to assume that Cowger’s following is relatively small, but he’s getting now national attention.

In late May, Cowger went on a rant against homosexuality stating it is a belief and a choice — not something a person is born as.

Cowger says that homosexuality is “not mandatory in that person. That person was not born that way, no matter what Lady Gaga says.” He explains that he feels homosexuality is becoming more prevalent in society. Why is this? According to Cowger, “it‘s because they’re being encouraged by it.”

He goes as far to say President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are “making kids gay.”

Cowger does say that he is against bullying of homosexuals but feels “when you’re trying to teach them the word of God and they consider that bullying” this is a problem. He says that it is a getting to a point where he can’t express his beliefs to homosexuals about God anymore.

Ever since the video of his rant began going viral, Cowger has been facing an onslaught of negative criticism on his Twitter and in the video’s comments. TMZ went as far to criticize Cowger’s grammar. Cowger even wrote on his Facebook page that his YouTube account had been hacked within the last day.

This isn’t the only time Cowger has slammed President Obama for his stance on gay marriage. On the program’s website, which airs Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 p.m. EST., Cowger recently wrote that he wants a “Straight Pride Month” in opposition to Obama’s recent naming of June as “Gay Pride Month.“ Cowger had a video to accompany this post but it was removed as ”hate speech.”

    Life of a Teenage mother last night was ALL about lesbian sex and spoke in great detail how girls kissing was ok!!! I TOTALLY despise this show but my wife watches it with my teenaged daughter!! Monotone actors sicken me and that is ALL they speak in and it takes about 3 seconds after the credits stop to talk about sex……THESE programs are what make “being gay” not only sociably acceptable but YOU are uncool if you are straight!!!!

We, as men are the image of Christ in our home… I know I am far behind where I am supposed to be. Just wanted to let you know that I was unaware of that too. The wife represents the spirit in the home. Ever notice how she can control the whole mood of the home? Anyway if it bothers you enough to post here perhaps you should talk to them about it.       You have responded several times with your snide comments about something being wrong with men not liking girls kissing. We all GET IT already. We know that guys like to see girls kissing…but that is a sexual issue and more for a porn flick than a program that is watched by your wife and her teenage daughter, and the fact that you do not “get that” is very worrisome for any child in your vicinity.

      It is not an appropriate thing for a mother to watch with her teen daughter unless she is using it as a teaching moment…and that was probably a big No.

      Caiden Cowger is wrong about not being born that way…there are too many instances that bear it out, but society (especially Hollywood) also glamorizes amoral behavior and idiot people (not just kids) emulate it.

      Bisexual behavior is a social trend in some high schools simply because of media glamorizing it, but those kids are not homosexual and are not likely to become so by simply experimenting.

      LEMONYFRESH: Very well said. You said what many of us were thinking. I am a woman and I believe men need to be men again and they should be in charge of their household IF they are following God..thats the way he wanted it and everything else will fall into place. I admit I wasn’t always very accepting of my husbands lead and for that I repent. Society is also being ruined for men–not allowing them to be men any more. And telling women they can “do it all” without one (even have a baby)>>(It only works if the guy puts Christ first in the home and then it is a beautiful thing). Thx.

      It appears that the video may have been pulled. I could not watch on the Blaze so I went to Youtube and 3/4 of the way through I got the same screen (!). I cant read through all 430 posts, but has anyone noticed or mentioned that the logo in the background looks alot like GBTV’s logo. I am scared for this young man. I agree with him, but he gets a little weird. I will pray for his safety, because the comments on youtube were not friendly.

    One would think that 25% of the US population is gay if you view or listen to Hollywood,MSM and the Obama administration. The youth of today,due to these media messages,are probably going to turn out to be the most sexually confused generation ever!

    I often wonder how children of gay parents will view their sexuality. Will they mirror the behavior of their same sex parents or will they “choose” the heterosexual path?

    I truly believe people are hard wired at birth regarding their sexuality, but today’s media glorification and glamourization of the homosexual life style may encourage heterosexual young adults to experiment with homosexuality and even adopt it as a lifestyle “choice”. I personally could care less what people do in the privacy of their home. I am,however, getting quite irritated with the constant in your face gay mafia , and the way they and women’s rights groups are attacking the churches,that I would never support gay marriage.

      I don’t think homosexuality is as voluntary as many people believe. IMHO its more akin to being left or right handed. Certainly you can choose to use on hand or the other, but will obviously involuntarily favor one over the other(regardless of what a politician tells you or how your parents raised you).

      we wonder whether homosexuality is nature or nurture & often decide for nature but the science doesn’t support that. scientists find more support for genetic involvement in alcoholism than homosexuality. in fact, there is more evidence that we are genetically programmed to respond negatively to homosexuality. I’ve personally known men & women who relinquish homosexual behaviour & marry; a “homosexual” man even proposed to me. we await studies using DNA microarray technology. but for now, we just can’t say homosexuality is a matter of nature. which doesn‘t necessarily mean it’s chosen, at least not consciously. men have been so emasculated & women have been taught to function w/o men: study should be done on the relationship between homosexuality & societal changes. we’re affected by much more than our genes. we all have phobias & predilections related to childhood experiences, whether we remember them or not. that may or may not be the case. the jury is still out re what causes homosexuality. there are probably many causes but we don’t know & can’t say.

    Could someone define ‘hate speech’? The men who founded this country were geniuses and there‘s nothing in the constitution that talks about’ hate speech’.

      There are no laws against hate speech in the U.S. If a website takes down a video, that was their choice. There are laws against hat crimes, which I’m against because I think that how bad you hurt someone is all that matters and doing it out of greed or out of hatred for one person is just as bad as doing it out of bigotry. In hate crimes cases, like any other legal cases, your words can be used to establish your motive, but there are no laws against hate speech itself, as long as you do not incite others to violence.

    I don’t know if having homosexual feelings is a choice. I am leading toward sometimes they are and sometimes not. I don know that God condemns acting on those homosexual feelings. He also conndemns not treating people with kindness. I think it’s great that this kid is standing up for his beliefs, but he probably could’ve found more charitable language to make his points. I imagine he was shooting more for controversial than charitable. Either way, I commend this kid for standing strong for his beliefs. I hope he is kind and charitable to gay people in his actions. I think the attempt to help people by teaching about God and Jesus Christ is very commendable, even if others falsely interpret that as bullying. I too have been called hateful for not accepting that a gay friend’s actions were ok. Christ taught us to love everyone, nobody excluded. He never taught us to accept sin as being ok, no sin excluded. President Obama should be criticized for his actions. He is leading the U.S. down the road to ruin. He has to go.

If your God wants me to know that genocide is alright as long as it‘s against people who don’t believe as you do, that it’s alright to beat your slave as long as he/she doesn’t die (at least not right away), that a betrothed woman who is raped is to be stoned along with the rapist because “she did not cry out for help though she was in the city”, and countless other moral atrocities condoned and even commanded by your God, then I reject him as a morally bankrupt figure unworthy of his title. If, on the other hand, you are going to tell me that Jesus negated the old testament laws then my question still stands: if Jesus didn’t consider homosexuality worth mentioning, why are all of you so up in arms over it?

      Msoeguy-I am curious, what version of the Bible have you read? Some of the ‘genocide’ to which you refer was commanded for very specific reasons which you seem to have missed in your ‘reading’ of the Bible. You are able to view certain laws as moral atrocities because you are viewing them through the prism of modern humanist thinking and without an understanding of Grace without an understanding of eternal life. The law is designed to show us that none of us is perfect and fall far short of the glory of God. The New Testament does specifically mention homosexuality which if you had read it as thoroughly as you claim you would know. Jesus also specifically mentions that he did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. As you are a student of the Bible one would think you would know this. I can get more detailed and more specific but most of this is beyond you at the present time. Also don’t assume all believers don’t know the Bible. We are all at different levels. Even if someone is a baby Christian they have likely had a very real and intense experience with God so you won’t shake them as easily as you imagine.

In 1995 I was involved in research for clinical study & collected data, mainly from male homosexuals in interviews.(Was earning B.S. in psychology.) Even if 2 gay men lived together as a couple, they had 5+ additional partners on average. That promiscuity level, the casual attitude toward that sordid debauchery should be a clue- gay marriage is absurd. As are you….

      Negative. I’m not judging him. I just feel sympathy for him. Its normal for many teenagers to be confused about their sexuality. And it saddens me that his parents have apparently brainwashed him to the extent that he would feel compelled to go on a rant about people who have not harmed him in any shape or form.

      I strongly suggest he seek help.

      Nor do I believe he is going to hell, as I do not believe in hell. I do not deny the existence of a god – if I see evidence for one, or if a god talks to me, I will believe it exists. However, I would never worship such a god – how could I offer praise to a being that commands its followers to hate?

      LOL, indeed I would. I’m not a shrink, or have any kind of medical degree. But I do know at 14 kids usually have no clear idea of who they are, mentally and physically. Most kids have a lot of confusing and conflicting urges and desires. This kid is no different.

      What saddens me is that he’s been brainwashed to hate, making him feel the need to lash out. He had the skills to create this broadcast, its an awful waste he couldn’t use it to spread love and kindness, instead of hate.

      Really? This old fallacy again? Refusing to believe in something without proof is NOT religion, it is the default logical position. Just like not believing in Oden does not make someone religious, not believing in the Christian God does not make someone religious. However, just out of curiosity, what are these “tenants of atheism” to which you refer?

When you make claims like this God or that God not only exists, but is the one true God, the burden of proof falls on you, not on people who refuse to believe without that proof.       I didn’t mention proof, I mentioned evidence. Plenty of evidence for God has been given(you just refuse to see it). Since proof is what you require then I submit that your belief in macro-evolution is faith since there is no proof. What you have in support of your faith system is a naturalistic interpretation of what we find in nature. The foundation of your belief system is that natural processes have always been as we find them now(no proof). In order to cling to this belief system you totally deny the Lord Jesus Christ and his reaffirmation of the Old Testament even though there is plenty of evidence that He is an actual historic figure. If He is an actual historic figure then he is either a liar, a lunatic or God our Savior. Also, many of us have a personal relationship with him and while you may not be able to believe that you also cannot take a person’s personal experience away from them. Since I have a personal relationship with him I am confident that your faith system is incorrect so the burden of proof falls back on you.

I am not saying it will change your mind but it may open your eyes as to how there can be an opposing world view. Maybe he’s learn about the biology and psychology of homosexuality when he gets to college. Here’s a hint: if one authority figure says he’s ok with gay marriage and suddenly you start macking it with guys: you were already gay.

      Now, if he said “gay activists are trying to make being gay more acceptable to mainstream society,” I’d be agreeing. But as said, he’s 14. I don’t expect much in the way of nuance from anyone at that age.

      To your point, however, I am listening to Caiden’s current program. He actually does sound like Rush. He seems well-versed in the Bible and stands strong for his faith. I agree with his view (from the little I’ve learned and heard so far). I commend Caiden as well as his parents for standing strong for what is right. So, I agree with your assessment of applauding his conservative radio program.

      Back to my point, I am sickened by our sexualized society. 14 year olds shouldn’t be exposed to sex in every part of our culture…….and particularly not the graphic nature of what they are taught, most notably in the school systems.

      I am proudly heterosexual, but I have nothing to fear from someone else being homosexual. I find it rather amusing that “Christians” arbitrarily attack one sin so adamantly and passionately, while completely dismissing other sins they knowingly and willing commit day in and day out without any thought of damnation themselves(to busy hating the gays and their agenda – which is a sin in and of itself).

      Git R Done – Yes sir, you are correct. Everyone is a hypocrite(to varying degrees). Although, I am prejudiced to people in general. Race, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Political Affiliation, Religion, etc. make no never mind to me. I see ignorance, intolerance, hate, oppression, and overall insanity in all of humanity(even myself sometimes o_O ). There are certainly intelligent, understanding, caring, and overall humble/selfless people that make the world a better place, but they are few and far between(especially these days). The general population is full of useless idiots. I try to remain neutral in most things. Of course, I rather enjoy pointing out the irony in a group touting their “morals” while attacking another group they disagree with – which is inherently immoral.

      Nice try. Skin color and sexual preferences are not the same issue. A person who comes out of the closet is self defining as a sexual deviant. A giving in to a lustful behavior does not make one a minority. Indeed, since most people give in to these behaviors this would put them in a majority.

      See, there are a lot of us that don’t think the Bible is the word of God. God never actually bothers to speak about it himself. Say, for example, God could appear out of thin air, we could go down to the bar, and have a good discussion on it. I mean, that should be easy for God. Unfortunately, if your God is real, he doesn’t seem to care about making sure people represent him accurately or that people actually understand what he cares about.

      Well whether you believe it or not,the bible is the word of God,and yes,He is real.He gave us a thing called “free will”.The things that God commands us to do and things He despises are written in the bible and free will determines where we spend eternity and does have an effect on our lives.Homosexuality is an abomination to God but is forgiveable if one turns away from that lifestyle and repents,but are still held accountable.Subjects like this are what gives most christians,like myself,a bad name.We are to still love them as the Lord does,as people.Hate the sin,not the sinner. In John 8:7 says…Let he who is without sin cast the first stone….

      I don‘t know about WVERNON1981 but I’ve read the entire Bible, more than once, and I did learn quite a few things. For one, I learned that if the God of the Bible existed he would be the most hateful, spiteful, petty and immoral being in existence. My favorites are always when he commands “his people” to commit genocide simply because other people don’t believe in him. He then consistently gets angry when people have an attack of true morality and refuse to follow his order to, say, slaughter all of the children or animals. What did the animals do to deserve to die? There’s some morality for ya…

      When the President of the United States gets on national tv and says he “supports homosexual marriage” it makes a difference in kids minds. Children (especially teens) are very impressionable. When “society” (and the Pres is a big part of that) condones something it plants a little seed in a childs mind. Many children are alone-lonely and vulnerable to outside influences and suggestions. So if one type of kid shuns them and they are accepted by a group of homosexuals and embraced they will adopt a ideology. I don’t know why you think this is so hard to believe. Kids join gangs all the time and get involved with drugs, crime, and sex..this is just one more aspect. PP is now on high school campus…basically telling kids sex is a-okay if you are “protected”. NOT. We should be teaching them abstinence.

One can also find acceptance in cults, bad group of kids, adopting their activities to fit in is nothing new….adopting the gay lifestyle through a simple conversion and giving oneself over to it can be simple as one kid, loving up on another of the same sex, making them feel accepted when they are being rejected…often by the opposite sex. Yea that can happen.
