Teens Film Brutal Beating of 13-Year-Old Girl Inside School Bathroom

It’s a game called “30 seconds.” In sum, two girls fight as hard as they can for half a minute, and at the end a winner is declared. That’s the basic premise behind a video out of the Detroit area that shows one 13-year-old girl being brutally beating inside a school bathroom. But there’s a catch: the girls shown being assaulted says she was pressured into the fight, and now she’s been harassed for talking about it.
The family of the girl, Jasmine Crawley, is now speaking out and targeting the school for not acting upon earlier tips from the family that this was happening.
“This happened during school at eight o’clock in the morning. Where was security, the staff, teachers? You do not notice that 15 of your kids are gone out of a classroom?” Arletha Newby, Jasmine’s sister, told WJBK-TV.

Still, the family doesn’t believe Jasmine is without fault. Her aunt said they want everyone to be held accountable — the attackers and Jasmine.
“It’s a two way responsibility here. We’re not just pointing the finger because, again, I know my niece is not an angel here. I just want to make sure that the schools are involved and that they‘re professional and that they’re diligent with handling situations like this,” Felisia Newby, Jasmine’s aunt, told WJBK.
As for Jasmine, her sister says she’s being targeted for speaking out: “She has comments on her Facebook leading from this tape of her getting beat up — ‘Snitches get stitches.’”
The station did get a response form the school district, which said it is now planning on pursuing the incident, including disciplinary action.

Sure it may feel better to vent your speen by turning you perverse POV, but take a better look at the whole picture, please. I am an arch-conservative and former Detroiter having grown up in a segregated neighborhood (all black) in the 50′s thru the riots in Detroit. After that I went to a Detroit HS and College, worked in Detroit (lived in the burbs), etc. Today, I rarely go the D and exercise defensive driving tactics (turn off the radio/phone, leave an escape route whenever stopping at a light or in traffic, watch approaching traffic etc.) while there.
Let’s get real here folk. If the D goes down, it is only a matter of time bef we all go down. What am I doing about this? Very very little, I am afraid and that’s the shame us ex-pat Detroiters share.

I know of a case where a principal laid down the law. He had a well disciplined school. One day, he had a student in his office and told the kid he was suspended. The kid freaked and ran out of the office and put his hand through a window. He cut his arm up badly enough to give himself permanent damage. The principal retained his job, but the school district and he himself lost the lawsuit that followed. The school is a zoo now. The guy figured he didn’t want to take the risk of something like that happening again.

Until Blacks acknowledge that they own this type of savagery; until Muslims acknowledge that they own terrorism, nothing will change.

They typically stand around doing nothing while kids are being attacked. Why? They are afraid of law suits and child abuse charges. Posted on December 3, 2011 at 3:22pmMy daughter is nine and my son is ten. Both are very accomplished at mixed martial arts. They are humble and non aggressive, however they would never “take” a beating or stand around and film one. They would get involved to defend the victim.
Their Sensei teaches them all the time, to first try to run away, or better yet avoid bad situations. If you have kids, find a good dojo and get them enrolled. At some time in their lives they will need to use the skills that they will learn.
