Tennis Player Goes Ballistic on Sidelines and Destroys 4 Rackets

It would seem Marcos Baghdatis hates to lose. And during a break during a match at last night’s Australian Open tennis tournament, he demonstrated how much: he absolutely went ballistic on the sideline and destroyed four tennis rackets in the process. And with each destroyed racket, the crowd seemed to eat it up.

Here’s how it went down:

Deadspin reports the outburst actually propelled him to win the next set. However, he did end up losing the match to Stanislas Wawrinka.

      Proverbs 3:35

      35The wise will inherit honor,
      But fools display dishonor.

      _____________________________

      Proverbs 12:16

16 A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent man conceals dishonor.

      __________________________________

      Proverbs 13:16

16 Every prudent man acts with knowledge,
      But a fool displays folly.

      Proverbs 14:17

      17 A quick-tempered man acts foolishly,
And a man of evil devices is hated.

      Proverbs 18:2

2 A fool does not delight in understanding,
But only in revealing his own mind.

And so to Marcos I would say:

      Proverbs 26:1

1 Like snow in summer and like rain in harvest,
So honor is not fitting for a fool.

      ________________________________________

And to the audience I would state:

      Proverbs 26:8

8 Like one who binds a stone in a sling,
So is he who gives honor to a fool.

Don’t think this is a result of “giving everybody a trophy for participating!” It is a professional, highly competitive sport with much money at stake, thus the frustration at not performing to his expectations. Although he was beaten by a higher ranked player…it was close for the first two sets. I don’t think I would be too happy at losing about $34,000 (prize money for winning a 2nd round match) because of my poor performance.

This guy needs serious counseling and anger management! Uncontained anger and frustration is NOT funny!

I have a sister with this problem, and she has never been able to contain her frustration and anger! She becomes violent whenever she gets frustrated. She took it out on her siblings, including me, and her own children and their pets, some of which had to be euthanized because of her abuse. He children, now adults, have told me horror stories! Her motto when we were growing up was, “Dynamite comes in small packages!” She‘s just 4’8″!

Anger management? How about good old fashioned ‘self control’? Most of us learn that when we‘re two and our mommy won’t put up with the tantrum we’re throwing.
For your sister and this guy, sadly there isn’t much hope this late in life. Sorry for your sister’s kids.

Although the article is presented, it is not promulgated with the degree of importance to which it should be.
It seems to be disguised under “Glitch? Here‘s How To Beat Wikipedia’s Blackout”, and then the article is ambiguous and lacking in any cohesion.
It makes the Article to look like a way to get around a wiki block, then gives little mention of SOPA.
BLAZE has exposed it’s true colors, just like NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and then eventually, FOX did.

From the early days of McEnroe forward, line judges should have started immediately disqualifying these manchildren for their tantrums, until such time as they got the point and accorded themselves as adults and with proper displays of sportsmanship.

They didn’t, and now we have pretty much an entire sport destroyed by manchildren throwing tantrums like effeminate little twits. Congratulations, credo of no self restraint, congratulations.

They actually do have “code violations” now for just that reason. And there have been a couple of matches called and players disqualified.

The rules however are more concerned with abuse of the line judges and chair umpire and taunting of opponents, rather than the player just getting angry with themselves. Having said that however, if he would have done that out on the court while a game was underway, he would have forfieted a point for each occurence. But because it was during a break in play when there was no game underway and he was not actually on the court the chair umpire had no course of action. The tournament official could have taken action if he wanted to, but like I said they’re more concerned with people having outbursts directed at other people.
