Tension in Italian Parliament Erupts in Physical Violence

Future and Freedom Party

A fight broke out between members of Italy’s Lega Nord party (a group which advocates federalism) and supporters of speaker Gianfranco Fini (a self-described liberal conservative) in the Italian parliament this morning.

Tension in Italian Parliament Erupts in Physical Violence

Lega Nord

Fini had recently appeared on Italian television to berate Lega Nord leader Umberto Bossi for pushing to raise the age of retirement, pointing out that Bossi’s own wife retired age 39, according The Guardian’s John Hooper.

Lega Nord supporters apparently didn’t take too kindly to this and ushers in parliament had to step in as things started to get physical, writes Business Insider.

Lega Nord supporters also chanted “resign, resign” at Fini.

Although the video does not catch the fight itself, it catches the moments leading up to it; moments which are indicative of the overall mood in Italy. It also shows a still picture of the men fighting:

“There is a climate of violence and intolerance,” said Amedeo Ciccanti from the centrist UDC party in a Reuters report. “We need to calm down because Italians are more irritated than us about this.”

Italy is just a third world country, they hate to work and their current President Giorgio Napolitano is a former communist, not a closeted commie like Obama but an actual member of the communist party!
I‘ve been several time to that country and I can tell it’s a dump at all levels. Unfortunately my wife has relatives there, like most italians all of them anti-American commies.

I looked it up on wikipedia; In other countries where liberal conservative movements have entered the political mainstream, such as Italy and Spain, the terms liberal and conservative may be synonymous.
Sounds like something coming out of OWS, which means I still have no clue.

The once-mighty Italians have traded in their former glory for SOCIALISM. As long as it remains, they will never emerge from their poverty.

Italy after the unification? Because if you’re talking about the citizens, they’ve been screaming “porca miseria” (****** misery) for a few hundred years, if not centuries. Nonetheless, socialists fighting over how to further limit an individual’s freedom (as shown in this video) has been occurring here for at least 100 years.

Our House and Senate might look like this soon. Bossi’s wife retired at 39? I hope she’s not getting a government pension. Conservatives of any kind are under attacj everywhere these days. At least Fin had the guts to say it. Bravo! Italy really is in real trouble these days financially. Is there any nation besides China that isn’t on the verge of collapse?
