University Won’t Fire Tenured Prof. Calling for Destruction of Israel

Kaukab Siddique believes strongly that the Holocaust was a hoax and that Muslims must “rise up against this hydra-headed monster which calls itself Zionism.” While his rhetoric is concerning, even more worrisome is that Siddique is an associate professor of English at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. And while the university acknowledges his comments are troubling, it says it can’t take action partly because Siddique is tenured.

Over Labor Day weekend, reports CBN’s Erick Stakelbeck, Siddique addressed radicals at an anti-Israel rally in Washington, D.C. There, his anti-Semitism was on full display.

“We must stand united to defeat, to destroy, to dismantle Israel — if possible by peaceful means,” Kaukab Siddique said. “Perhaps, like Saladin, we will give them enough food and water to travel back to the lands from where they came to occupy other people.”

“For the Jews, I would say see what could happen to you if the Muslims wake up,” Siddique warned.  “And I say to the Muslims, dear brothers and sisters, unite and rise up against this hydra-headed monster which calls itself Zionism.”

“It is obvious to us that Zionism is racism,” he adds. “It is obvious to us that Zionism is genocide. It is obvious to us that Zionism is terrorism. But somehow the man living in the White House does not seem to know that. His silence is grim and dismal.”

CBN also uncovered e-mail exchanges posted online in which Siddique called the Holocaust “a hoax” that was “invented,“ saying there is ”not even one document” proving it happened. Jews have “taken over America” by “devious and immoral means,” he adds.

“This [Labor Day event] is not a one off deal,” Investigative Project on Terrorism Executive Director Ray Locker told CBN. “This is something he has said at similar events over a period of at least a dozen years, as far as we can tell.”

Lincoln University, the school’s website boasts, is the world’s oldest historically African-American college. CBN reports it has received almost $200 million in Pennsylvania state money since 2003.

Michael Hill, the school’s executive vice president, told CBN that the University in no way agrees with or supports Siddique’s comments on Israel. But, he added, Siddique is tenured and has freedom of speech, and the school cannot control his private life. He added that the school will ensure his personal views do not seep into the classroom.

In an e-mail to CBN, Siddique denied that he was anti-Semitic and said his “speaking out” about Israel, “conform(s) to the ideals and principles that founded Lincoln University.”

He explained: “When I refer critically to the ‘Jews’ I am referring to the current leadership of the ‘State of Israel’ and to their major supporters, not to the Jewish race as a whole.”

Yet his message in Washington failed to make the distinction.  “There’s no question of just removing the settlements,” he yelled, “These settlements are only the tentacles of the devil that resides in Tel Aviv.”

      OMG! Sooner or later you will be right. When do we apply the same rules of hate speech versus free speech. If this professor had called for the elimination by hanging, of all black people or that slavery in America didn’t happen or had he called for the slaughter of all gay people by stoning, he would have been charged with hate speech, Yet, he can call for the murder and mass extermination of all the Jewish people and he is not charged with anything??? What kind of stupidity is this??? Apparently, this university doesn’t honor the person for whom it was named. It certainly is not advocating fairness as Abe would have done.

    A professor who speaks publicly at a gathering of Hezbollah supporters and other radical muslim groups, and the school refuses to take action? Tell me please, what would happen if a professor spoke at a public gathering of Klu Klux Klan members and radical christian groups, inciting violence against blacks? I’m guessing in such as situation, the professor would be run out of town on a rail, as he should be.

    It amazes me how you can say and do whatever you want if you are in the muslim minority, but if this were a Christian or Jewish gathering, it would be worldwide front page news.

    Lincoln University should be ashamed of themselves. I hope the community holds this school responsible for its inaction.

      There was a case, awhile back, where a professor in FL, who also kept his job until after he was convicted, was fund raising for a terror group.

      It sparked the usual freedom of speech, PC, and tenure debates.

      The main difference between this case and that one, is who’s running the federal prosecutors office.

    If I recall my history lessons correctly, didn’t Isreal legally purchase their original lands from the Palestinians? Yes, they have conquered territory since the country was founded, but the point is if they legally purchased the land how does the seller have a moral and religious right to take it back?
    And as for saying the Holocaust was a hoax, he needs to listen to the survivors of that period and hear their stories. There are records of what the Allied forces found. But, as I learned from a survivor of that time (not ever interred in a camp, but active with the underground) the average German citizen knew nothing of the camps until near the end of the war. They didn‘t want to know and didn’t want to believe their nation could do something so horrible. The ones that knew often tried to help the Jews to escape capture.
    Why is it that every time we hear about some teacher or professor stepping so far over the line of common decency, they can’t be disciplined because of their tenure? There aren’t many protections like this in the private sector (outside of a union, and don’t get me started on that).

      Right on, Moon. I love the Jewish people, and their whole history. I cherish the heritage that is mine because of them. Jews gave us the Bible, and Jesus, who was a Jew. They are God’s chosen people, dear hearts. He promised the land to Abraham and his descendants forever. He means for them to have Israel, and He will see to it. When all of prophecy is fulfilled, they will have the whole land grant as God gave it to them, which includes Jordan. Only ignorance would say there was no Holocaust. The Jews were scattered after Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD, and they plowed salt into the ground so it would be barren. They changed the name of Judea to Palestine, as an insult to the surviving Jews. The Palestinians of our day were NOT there then, and came about 600 years ago from ancient Edom, in Jordan. They were squatters in Judea, and never did anything to improve the land. they had no government, no society, no flag, no currency, nothing. The Holocaust brought the Jews back, and they welcomed everyone. They let Palestinians vote and hold office. The Arabs are the ones who made the refugees leave in 1948, promising them land when Arabs had defeated the Jews, but that never happened. The Arabs could help the refugees but they won’t because their suffering causes world opinion to blame the Jews, as always. Those oil rich nations could take care of the Palestinians easily but they don’t love, they only know hate. Well, God promised the Jews would return and the have. They worked like everything and now the barren land they claimed under the British Mandate blooms like a rose. Some Jews bought land from the Ottoman Turks before 1948 and paid dearly but in the 400 years the Turks had the land, they did nothing with it! I don‘t think it’s about the land; it’s just the hatred of the Muslims for the Jews. Many in Islam can’t even get along with their own people. Muslims have been killing Muslims since Muhammod decided to make his way of life a religion. Bible prophecy is coming to pass on an almost daily basis. I’ve been teaching it for 45 years, and NEVER have so many things lined up to point they world to the soon coming of Jesus. Folks, if you are caught hating the Jews, you are in trouble with God. Mr. Obama needs to take a look at his policies toward the Chosen People, before he gives God even more reason to judge our land. Don’t they know that the judgment of the nations is based on one thing only; how a nation treated Israel! When Russia gathers the Islamic nations and swarms into the Holy Land, it will take 7 months to bury the dead and 7 years to burn the useless weapons they leave behind. God will fight for Israel, again. God is love, and He will forgive people their hatreds but He will not overlook it all if they refuse to repent. Oh, tread carefully, you who hate Jews, who deny the worst atrocity the world has ever seen perpetrated against a people. God have mercy, for surely, you know not what you do.     My father told me before he died that he was in a concentration camp after it was liberated during WWII.
    He didn’t speak of the war till his seventies. I think he saw ugly things, this was one of them. He must have lied.

Though there are many Scriptures that point to how God Almighty feels about his people Israel and the land of their inheritance given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in a blood covenant that cannot be broken, I give him these verses. “How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is NO GOD BUT YOU, as we have heard with our own ears. And who is like YOUR PEOPLE ISRAEL – THE ONE NATION ON EARTH THAT GOD WENT OUT TO REDEEM AS A PEOPLE FOR HIMSELF, and TO MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations (plural nations) and their (false) gods from before YOUR PEOPLE, whom you redeemed from Egypt? YOU HAVE ESTABLISHED YOUR PEOPLE ISRAEL as your very own FOREVER, and you, O Lord, have become their God (The God of Israel as He is ALWAYS called in Scripture).”
      To deny the holocaust is stupid, because it is so well documented. You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Because we have access to so much more information today then at any time in the history of mankind, the truth and the facts about the holocaust are always at our fingertips.
      It is good of you Mr. Siddique to admit that you stand united to defeat, to destroy, and to dismantle Israel, because now we can see by your own words what your intentions are towards the land that God gave to the Israelites; not only our brother tribe of Judah, but also to the rest of God’s chosen people that I name above. Once we all realize exactly who we are and whose we are, no one will be able to touch us. God is getting ready to reunite and restore HIS WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. What God has decreed, He is well able to do. God has not lost sight of His ancient tribes, and he has never taken His eyes off of Jerusalem, the City He loves.

      I agree with the demographic trends, but I think it will take much longer to have full impact- at the least, the children must first grow to voting age to really have an effect on government. I also question the math: at this point there are a whole lot more people reproducing at the lower rate, so the demographic shift will take longer.

Sounds like threats to me… and that doesn’t fall under free speech. I thought “inciting to riot” was against the law? And this traitor teaches English??! I know this because of the lack of objection or conversation by the Council of American Islamic Relations(CAIR) or any other “mainstream” Islamic organization. So I guess all the holocaust survivors are liars,all the camps are movie sets, the pictures are fakes, and all the bodies……..oh yeah there actually were dead bodies.       Parents who have students at that university, and disagree with this prof, ought to demand their kids be pulled from his classes. If he has no students to teach there will be no need for his presence at the school. Tenure needs to be voted out – it gives teachers license to do and say what they please with no consequences.

      I’d love to ask the university how they intend to ensure that none of his opinion “seeps into the classroom.” This passes for free speech with no comment from the MSM, however, if a Jewish person had said this about Palestine there would have been banner headlines, newsbreaks throughout the day. This myth that the Arabs, the MSM, Helen Thomas, etal are perpetrating about the Jews going back to where they came from is a bit distorted. Jerusalem, Medina, and Mecca were all Jewish trading posts as far back as one cares to look.
