Terrell Owens Hospitalized After Calling 911 for Possible Pill Overdose

Terrell Owens Hospitalized for Possible Pill Overdose

Any hope for headline-grabbing Wide Receiver Terrell Owens to make an NFL comeback may have bitten the dust. TMZ.com reports that emergency officials were responding to a call about a possible prescription pill overdose when they were dispatched to the L.A. apartment where Owens was staying last week.

Owens has since been released from a California hospital, and a rep for Owens had no comment to TMZ on the matter.

Owens underwent surgery this summer to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is a free agent. He recently underwent stem-cell treatment in Korea and said that he could be playing “in a month or less,” reports the Washington Post. Owens is known for his sometimes odd behavior on the sidelines and in postgame interviews, like this famous reaction to a question following a Dallas Cowboys playoff loss in 2008:

Owens, often referred to as T.O. (and Team Obliterate to ESPN analyst Skip Bayless), was hospitalized in 2006 after having a bad reaction to painkillers. In w006 T.O. denied reports that followed his hospitalization that the wide reciever had attempted to commit suicide by ingesting 35 Vicodin pills.

“I’m not gonna waste your time, so I wouldn’t expect you to waste my time,” Owens told ESPN of his possible comeback. “When I step on the field, you know what you gonna get.”

I see a similar future for him as Lawrence Taylor. He may not be hitting the crack pipe but I bet he’s abusing prescription pain killers. I would NEVER let this moron on my team or in my locker room his talent ran out about a decade ago he sucked on the cowgirls & for every other team hes been on since. I can’t believe VH1 even wasted there money following around this nut job. I bet he drops dead in the next 10 years one way or another.

you must reallize that his antics on and off the field are choreograghed by his publicist and are all intentional to gain attention. It attracts certain sponsers who are running specific campaigns around football or mascullinity. i dont think the possible overdoses are intentional, but his attitude is. when you saw him cry after losing a playoff game and sticking up for tony romo, that is the real T.O. a guy who wears his heart on his shirt sleave. btw i am not a fan of his…

Well- I love T.O. I think he’s an easy target. Sure, he spouts off from time to time, but he’s a real talent who should be playing football.

Only on The Blaze do some of the country’s biggest losers get to pretend to be superior, in any way, to a world-class athlete. You Blaze Losers are lazy, broke nobodies. Deal with it (or don’t. No one cares)

I get the idea from your post that athletes are superior to hard working Americans. If that’s so, why don’t you raise them for entertainment purposes only. Feed them drugs and see how much more exciting sports can be. If they die at 35 years old, who cares? There’s more where they came from.

Terrell Owens, Kobe Bryant, Hines Ward, Peyton Manning, the list goes on and on of athletes jetting overseas to get these stem cell treatments that are either regulated or banned in America. Stems cell from fat or marrow have been shown to reverse aging, repair damaged heart tissue, and possibly cure cancer. We allow stem cells from blood only.

Will banning highly effective stem cell treatments keep people from being treated? Well obviously no…

Will it keep it so only the rich can afford to jet over seas and obtain such life saving treatments? Common sense..

Nothing, nada, zip, zilch, zero. I am glad the Bengals got rid of T-Zero and Oucho Stinko. T-Zero was lazy, didn’t give his all, but thought he was hot stuff. He wouldn’t even jump or reach out for the ball. Why any team would pay him is beyond me, except for the name.
Oucho Stinko was too stupid and worried about his image, to play. When he first came on the scene, he was hungry, but then got a swollen head and was never the same. This seems to happen to half the athletes in the NFL.

I don’t know what T.O.’s beliefs are….but hopefully he will conect or re-conect which ever the case may be with God from all this. Sometimes an incident like this will wake a person up to turn to God.
Let’s hope this is the case.

Has to be alot harder being humble when everyone around you is telling you that you’re better then everyone else. I mean look at Hollywood, 99% would be working as a garbage man if they didn‘t get lucky or a mommy or daddy didn’t pull some strings for them.

Every Baldwin kid has talent? C’mon, most of Hollywood is merely a product of opportunity due to connections, not talent.

      Least Terrell Owens earned his
