Terror Attack Suspected: Stabbed U.S. Tourists Body Found Near Jerusalem
JERUSALEM (AP) — The body of a female tourist, bound and with multiple stab wounds, was found Sunday near a
road outside Jerusalem, police said.

Her friend, an immigrant from the U.K., had reported her missing a day earlier after she, too was found in the same area, also bound and stabbed, police said.

The two had been hiking in a nearby forest when they were assaulted by two Arab men and her friend was dragged away, she told police on Saturday.

The woman’s disappearance set off a large-scale hunt by police and military in the wooded hills outside Jerusalem.

Before the body was found, police had been investigating possibilities other than a politically motivated crime. The discovery of the stabbed and bound body, however, reinforced the possibility that militants may have been involved, police said.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said he had no details about the hikers, but the Israeli press identified the dead woman as Christine Logan. Her nationality has been given alternatively as British and American. The British Embassy said it was looking into the reports; the U.S. Embassy had no information.

Her friend, according to the press, was Kaye Susan Wilson. Police said there were no signs she had been sexually assaulted or robbed.

Dr. Yuval Weiss, director of Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, told Army Radio he expected Wilson would be released within several days.

Police said Wilson told them she managed to escape her assailants by pretending she was dead. Afterward, she made it to a parking area where other people alerted authorities.

This would not be the first time that hikers were attacked and killed.

In 2007, two off-duty soldiers were shot and killed while hiking in the West Bank. In the 1990s, four Israeli hikers were killed in two separate attacks in the West Bank.

Ha’aretz:

Israeli security forces early Sunday found the body of Christine Logan, an American tourist woman feared kidnapped by Arab assailants while hiking with a friend near Jerusalem the day before.

Logan’s friend, 46-year-old Kaye Susan Wilson, was hospitalized after she managed to escape her attackers despite multiple stab wounds and her hands tied behind her back.

Wilson, an immigrant from the United Kingdom who now resides in a Jerusalem-area community, told paramedics and police officers  that she and Logan were assaulted by two Arab men while hiking at Khirbet Hanut, an archaeological site near Beit Shemesh.

Wislon said that she pretended to be dead to escape further attack and then managed to flee the scene and reach the road; Logan did not. After speaking briefly to investigators, Wilson was taken to the Hadassah University Hospital, where her condition was reported to be stable.

Police identified Logan’s body early Sunday and are continuing to focus their investigation on the circumstances of the incident and searching after the perpetrators. Jerusalem District Police Chief Aharon Franco said on Saturday that the investigation would not rule out the possibility of the incident having been a terrorist attack.

    This is a terrible tragedy for these tourists visiting the holy land. But in my personal belief for these terrorists to commit such a crime in the very land of our Lord Jesus Christ will not spell well for their being or their goals.
    That innocent life they took will have a place in heaven for if for no other reason it was taken on holy ground, and the fate of their deed will sooner or later damn them for their blasphemous and inhuman act.

    I know, especially in places like Saudi Arabia, tourists are always abducted and murdered by Christians and Jews.
    The more I hear apologists defend Muslims the more I am convinced that we are witnessing a whole culture of people who are inbred, barbaric, prone to violence, and as we sit and make excuses for them, their digression continues towards worse depravity. We cannot rescue them from their depravity. Only they can do that and although some may indeed come around and seek refuge in the west, most will continue to threaten civilization.

    No one should fear being attacked in a “holy” city. However, visitors are warned about continuing problems with violence and are told to take every possible precaution. Two women hiking alone seems very risky and in this case led to a tragic end.

    This has been going on for a thousand years and to think we can change a cult belief is a joke. Just get used to it. The fight will go on forever. Kill them when you can. My nephew just got out of the war two days ago. It was fun when he used to tell me he made a wet spot out of one for me. Not to fear though, my other nephew will deploy in a few months, so the fun will continue. How many hearts and minds do you think we won today in afghanistan? How stupid to even try. God protect him.

      I have a nephew in the military too. He is in the Navy and was telling me they have a program where the guys who are not in a position to go to Afghanistan can trade with a Marine who has been deployed there to give some of the marines that haven’t been home for a while a break. I pray for him and your nephews and all of our men and women in the armed forces.

    do you all remember the muslims raiding a village in Africa few years back can’t remember the name of the place but anyway the radical muslims killed the men raped and murdered the women then turned on the kids raping the kids i remember reading the story of a 10 year old boy and he told how they raped his sister which was just a child till she died then they turned on him and he told how at least 8 different men raped him leaving him for dead,so don‘t think for one minute they won’t do that here or elsewhere because they will if given the chance, but yet people rise up and say the majority are a peacefull people

    When I read this sort of thing, I would like to refer others to a book called: “The life and Religion of Mohammed”. It tells of his childhood and how he decided to write the Koran in a manner that would address the political and economic and religious issues of his time. He manipulated the Scriptures (Jewish of course) to utilize the teachings about Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Jesus, etc for his own benefit to meet the philosophical and political conditions of his region. He induced his friend to support him in his fraud and ultimately convinced many others to follow his teachings, albeit they are so contrary to the truth of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in learning more about Islam and the Koran. Blessings on you all!

    Thank you for reporting this story. These kind of stories often get unreported here in America because of “political correctness.”

    For those of you who think this isn’t coming here to America. It is. Creeping Sharia and Jihad is here in the form of Hamas-linked CAIR and all it’s many tentacles.

    Here’s an excerpt from an article that I read very recently. It talks about the “useful idiots” that aid and abet Islam:

    The Useful Idiot may even engage in willful misinformation and deception when it suits him. Terms such as “Political Islam,” or “Radical Islam,” for instance, are contributions of the Useful Idiot. These terms do not even exist in the native parlance of Islam, simply because they are redundant. Islam, by its very nature and according to its charter—the Quran—is a radical political movement. It is the Useful Idiot who sanitizes Islam and misguides the populace by saying that the “real Islam” constitutes the main body of the religion; and, that this main body is non-political and moderate.

    Regrettably, a large segment of the population goes along with these nonsensical euphemisms depicting Islam because it prefers to believe them. It is less threatening to believe that only a hijacked small segment of Islam is radical or politically driven and that the main body of Islam is indeed moderate and non-political.

    But Islam is political to the core. In Islam the mosque and State are one and the same—the mosque is the State. This arrangement goes back to the days of Muhammad himself. Islam is also radical in the extreme. Even the “moderate” Islam is radical in its beliefs as well as its deeds. Muslims believe that all non-Muslims, bar none, are hellfire bound and well-deserve being maltreated compared to believers.

    No radical barbaric act of depravity is unthinkable for Muslims in dealing with others. They have destroyed precious statues of Buddha, leveled sacred monuments of other religions, and bulldozed the cemeteries of non-Muslims—a few examples of their utter extreme contempt toward others.

    Muslims are radical even in their intrafaith dealings. Various sects and sub-sects pronounce other sects and sub-sects as heretics worthy of death; women are treated as chattel, deprived of many rights; hands are chopped for stealing even a loaf of bread; sexual violation is punished by stoning, and much much more. These are standard day-to-day ways of the mainstream “moderate” Muslims living under the stone-age laws of Sharia.

      “Useful idiots”….thats a very good description of the brain-dead, p.c. people in this country that think its trendy and cool to stick up for Muslims……but, I’m betting when they start getting their heads cut off, they will be bleating for others to save them. Muslims should not be encouraged, supported, tolerated or protected….like any other dangerous animal, they should be hunted down and destroyed. We have more than ample evidence over thousands of years, exactly what a menace Muslims really are, and I‘d rather not hand my country and my children’s future over to a bunch of murdering, child raping, perverted, women abusing, evil trash.
