Pastor Terry Jones is calling for Koran and Prophet Muhammad burnings
News has been dominated by the tragic and horrific stories of violence resulting from the burning of Korans by U.S. soldiers at a NATO air base in Afghanistan. As the military struggles to contain the fallout, a man here in America may be seeking to fan the flames. In the wake of the chaos, Florida-based fundamentalist Terry Jones is, again, threatening to burn Islamic holy books and images.
As you may recall, Jones first gained infamy when he called for copies of the Koran to be burned in response to the proposed Ground Zero mosque. He also attracted a small bit of attention when he announced his intent to run for the U.S. presidency.

An image from Jones' YouTube video
Now, the fundamentalist pastor is stepping out, once more, and threatening to burn the holy book and pictures of the Prophet Muhammad if Iran continues its refusal to release Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani. The Blaze has extensively covered Nadarkhani’s plight following his arrest on apostasy charges by Iranian authorities back in 2009.
Jones recorded a video that was uploaded to YouTube on Feb. 24. In it, he highlights his plans and makes overt threats to the Iranian regime.

“We demand the immediate release of Pastor Youcef,” Jones says at the beginning of the clip. “Pastor Youcef is a pastor in Iran who has been found guilty…of converting from Islam, the religion of death, to Christianity.”
Jones, of course, wasted no time giving Iranian leaders an ultimatum, should they fail to comply with his request. Additionally, he took the opportunity to jab President Barack Obama.
“If not, we will be calling for a world-wide burning of the Koran and a world-wide burning of images of Muhammad,” he continued. “President Hussein Obama said that Islam has a long history of tolerance. President Obama is a liar and a traiter.”
Watch the video message, below:
In a release on his web site, Jones also made his praise for the U.S. military’s burning of the Korans known, writing that “Islam is death.” In the past, Jones has been accused of inciting violence following his burning of one of the holy books.
While the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) has confirmed that Nadarkhani is still alive, the execution charges against him still stand. You can find out more about the battle to save him here.

Every ‘religion’ in history has persecuted people at one time or another. Think about this: if there is GOOD, then there is EVIL and evil has a way of convincing the GOOD that evil is good. A TRUE FOLLOWER OF CHRIST knows this and will not conform evil to good. YOU ARE NOT A TRUE FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, BECAUSE IF YOU WERE, YOU WOULD KNOW THIS, as do all TRUE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST.
Now, having said that, a true follower of Christ will defend his home and family if he or she must, if there is a home invasion or they have been attacked without provocation. CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. You don’t need a Bible to have REASONING AND COMMON SENSE! What is wrong with all you people???????????? Where do you get your foolish ideas? “It‘s not our fault they pick fights they can’t win. You throw rocks at men with machine guns, you get mowed down. Too bad, so sad.”
Since when does might make right? Just because you CAN use overwhelming violence against civilians does not mean it should be done.
“If Allah is the one true god, how come these infidel christians and jews are infinitely richer and more powerful than the true believers?”
And since when it abundance the sign of God’s favor? I hear similar words out of the mouths of megachurch leaders, who drive sports cars while ignoring the hungry in their communities. And take the Muslim countries like Qatar, which has the one of the highest GDPs per capita. Simply because they had the good fortune to live on deposits of oil and natural gas, does that mean Allah (or God) blesses them over primarily Christian nations like the Ukraine or Haiti?

“This is a reply to any of you who think this Jones is an upstanding guy. He is not acting christian.Hes being very selfish and foolhardy.”
These are only the most recent shenanigans. Again, I lived in Gainesville and joined the city in shaking our heads to Dove World Outreach. In 2010, they worked with the Westboro Baptist church to stage protests. That same year, Jones threatened to burn the Qur’an and was asked not to by the US military. He gave his vow, that for the safety of the troops, he wouldn’t, ever, burn the Qur’an.
Less than half a year later, he held a mock trial for the book and publically burned it, setting off reactions in the Middle East that US military said directly led to the deaths of our troops.
Are radical Muslims right to react with violence? Heck no, and I pray to God that the US government will intercede to save the pastor in Iran sentenced to die. But Jones and his ilk aren‘t burning the Qur’an thinking it will free this Iranian pastor; they’re doing it for the fame (or infamy) that it brings them. Their hatred doesn’t rest with Muslims alone, but anyone who doesn’t follow their exact teachings (hence why the denomination has only around 50 followers).
Take it from a guy who shared living space with these fools and say them calling out fire and brimstone on campus. Jones’s folks are out for themselves, and if it incites Muslims and gets Christians killed, they’re happy.

The first Crusade began in 1095… 460 years after the first Christian city was overrun by Muslim armies, 457 years after Jerusalem was conquered by Muslim armies, 453 years after Egypt was taken by Muslim armies, 443 after Muslims first plundered Italy, 427 years after Muslim armies first laid siege to the Christian capital of Constantinople, 380 years after Spain was conquered by Muslim armies, 363 years after France was first attacked by Muslim armies, 249 years after the capital of the Christian world, Rome itself, was sacked by a Muslim army, and only after centuries of church burnings, killings, enslavement and forced conversions of Christians.
By the time the Crusades finally began, Muslim armies had conquered two-thirds of the Christian world.
Europe had been harassed by Muslims since the first few years following Muhammad’s death. As early as 652, Muhammad’s followers launched raids on the island of Sicily, waging a full-scale occupation 200 years later that lasted almost a century and was punctuated by massacres, such as that at the town of Castrogiovanni, in which 8,000 Christians were put to death. In 1084, ten years before the first crusade, Muslims staged another devastating Sicilian raid, burning churches in Reggio, enslaving monks and raping an abbey of nuns before carrying them into captivity.
In 1095, Byzantine Emperor, Alexius I Comneus began begging the pope in Rome for help in turning back the Muslim armies wh

WOW! Your source is SOOO convincing. Why does it only begin counting in 2000? The conflict has been going on since the 1920s. Does it mention the fact that 2000 was around the time Israel began building the barrier? Notice how Israel’s number of deaths start to go down in 2005 as a result. It also ignores the fact that the terrorists always try to engage the military in heavily populated areas and frequently use human shields. Also, how is your source defining children? Do 15-year-olds firing machine guns count? Let’s look at some examples (from your source):
Muhammad Ashraf Abed-Rabo Ghaban, 17, of Beit Lahiya, Gaza, killed by an IDF shell while trying to bomb the Gaza perimeter fence. (A child? He’d be treated as an adult in the US)
Aysar Yasser Fawaz Zaraqah, 15, of Mazra al-Sharkiya, near Ramallah, killed by Israeli settler gunfire to his back after throwing stones at the settler’s car on the Ramallah-Nablus Road near al-Bayada.
Most of these “children” your source cites are between the ages of 14 and 17 (one was even 23) and many seemed to have died at “demonstrations” yet the site says things like “going to school” etc. Now does that make this any less tragic? No. But this is the difference between facts and truth.

“That is the reality, and people who can not deal with reality are either delusional or radical.”
It‘s because you’re not facing reality that Islam is a religion that consists of fanatically obsessed zealots that you misunderstand the danger these people represent.
Forget about who killed who in the past. This is the 21st century and the fact is that Muslims constitute a very real threat to anybody who does not observe the strict confines of their bigoted religion.
Christianity is demonized by those on the left, especially activist homosexuals, yet it’s tenets are as a kitten compared to a lion by comparison to both Islam and even Judaism.
There aren’t any “peaceful” Muslims. Every one of them who is not on jihad right at the present time is a fanatic in waiting, waiting for the right kind of verbal radicalismn that will send them off on a killing binge.
I’m an agnostic, but I think it’s deplorable at the way the radical left spews such hate for Christianity for really what amounts to insignificant matters and ignores the rabid radicalism of Islam.
Christianity might contain tenets that makes a leftist feel uncomfortable, but Islam is based on strict laws that will kill for any infraction of them. Yet they hate Christianity with a fanatical zeal, while they give Islam a pass.

The teachings of the Kuran and Shariah law are totally incompatible with our United States Constitution. Islam should be banned as a terror cult.
First problem they use our first amendment against us. The second problem is we have a Muslim president ..who is allowing this to happen.
The Moztec Book of Hate reads that the Muslim‘s are actually encouraged to lie to anyone NOT Muslim in order to win us over and then when we’re out numbered and/or may be overcome by force, they will either convert, kill or enslave us. They teach/preach hate for all the infidels (Jews and Christians), rather than love and forgiveness as Jesus teaches us in the New Testament, which is God’s True word (the BIBLE). They’ve been doing this to the inhabitants of other countries for centuries and now they want to invade and do the same to all people in North America until, they think, they will conquer the world.

Lots of people use the canard of faith to cover their innate bloodlust. The solution to removing the well intentioned Christian from the hands of Islamic fanatics probably isn’t found in ticking off *all* Muslims. First of all, Bibles are burned every day in Muslim countries, and were even recently burned by the US military in Afghanistan. Ironically, that was done in order to avoid inciting violence among the Muslims. Frankly, I and many other Americans are sick and tired of walking on eggshells around Muslims while they trample all over us. Muslim countries burn bibles, burn US flags, hang our people in effigy, and then slaughter actual Americans for little to no reason.
We’re acting like the beaten wife who tries to keep the kids quiet to avoid another beating. This has to stop. ENOUGH! If they are unwilling to coexist with us, then we must become equally unwilling to bow to their demands.
