TX CEO Has Coworker Shoot AK-47 at Him to Prove Bulletproof Glass Works!

This is one CEO who stands behind his product — literally. And he’s got the video of an AK-47 firing three rounds at his face to prove it.

To demonstrate the capabilities of his bulletproof (technically bullet “resistant”) windshield glass, Texas Armoring Corporation CEO Trent Kimball gave his product a live fire test, placing himself behind a sheet of his company’s specialized glass while an associate fired a salvo right at him.

Video of the test was put on YouTube yesterday. The Daily Mail reported on the publicity stunt, and claimed Kimball decided to do the test after he became annoyed with endless questions about whether his bullet proof glass “works:”

Certainly looks like it does.

Got that right, I remember seeing videos of one of the first bullet proof vests developed, and to show that it did work, the developer shot himself at point blank range with a .38 (at least thats what it looks like he used.)

He survived, and while bruised, showed also the vest worked as advertised. Like this man, he had the guts to show the proof of his product.

Platitude, what the heck are you talking about? I know many people who have inherited money or a business from their parents, some continue the success and grow the business, while many others run the business into the ground. The business had to start from somewhere, and it was not the government, it was his family. Use some common sence before you hit the reply button.

I worked with a guy whose brother built bullet-proof cars. That company did the thing and filmed it for an advertisement. They had the brother sit in the driver’s seat, holding the steering wheel, while another guy walked around the car shooting at it. One of the rounds went between the driver’s door window frame and the frame that held the windshield hitting him in the left arm. There’s always a weak point that these Engineers always miss. I saw the same thing and if the 7.62 round hit the lower metal part that was at an angle it also could have ricocheted up and into the “safe zone”.

Platitude, there isn’t a damn thing wrong with inheritance… unless you’re the federal government. Big government fears any institution more powerful than itself – so much that big government uses the threat of force to weaken families by at least 50% each successive generation. It then propagates tried-and-tested emotionalist arguments as its justification; arguments which, of course, its moocher followers blindly embrace.

Your argument supports the losers and beggars of society. Their parents were losers and beggars, and that is exactly what they teach their children to be. You seem to be an intelligent person who chooses to teach these losers that generational welfare is how they will be able to become productive members of a free nation.

I question a couple of points, such as the angle the windshield was at possibly helping to deflect the slug, second the three shots were each fired next to each other at new glass as opposed to being fired at the same weakened spot which may not withstand the pummeling………just saying it‘s better than no protection but ’bullet proof’, I doubt it……..
