Texas Dems Holding a Holiday Party at Planned Parenthood?

Several Texas Democratic women’s groups are coming together to hold a holiday party next month — at a Planned Parenthood.
Hosted by Texas Democratic State Reps. Jessica Farrar and Carol Alvarado, it’s billed as a holiday party for “Democratic women…and the men who love them” at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston. The invitation tells guests planning to attend that they must RSVP “for security purposes.”
Wine and soft drinks will be provided, but guests are encouraged to “BYOB for stronger cheer.”
View the invitation below:
Alvarado’s office declined to comment on the party beyond confirming she is one of the hosts. Jerry Greenspan, Alvarado’s legislative director, said she would not be discussing the party or its location choice.
Farrar — who in 2009 introduced a bill that would have made postpartum psychosis a legal defense for mothers who kill their infants — did not return a request for comment.
The Harris County Democratic Party, whose logo is printed at the top of the invitation and which listed the event on its official calendar, declined to answer questions about the party or its location. A Harris County Democratic Party representative instead directed all inquiries to the River Oaks Area Democratic Women, listed as one of the event co-hosts. Efforts to contact the organization were unsuccessful.
Michael Berry, a conservative talk radio host on Houston’s KTRH, said the idea of holding a holiday party at a Planned Parenthood is disgusting and an insult.
“Celebrating the ‘holiday’ of Christmas, which marks the birth of Christ, at an abortion clinic is an insult to Christians, and frankly, to every American,” Berry said. “Democrats think it’s festive to get drunk at an abortion clinic? I guess this would be their ‘choice’?”

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 10:13amSaturnalia is the. Christmas is the perversion of that in an attempt to turn the pagan rites from idols, to the birth of Jesus. This atheistic move is to return a pagan holiday, and the godless dead.

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 10:17amThis just goes to show you that there is a total lack of common sense among these people. Even “pro-choice” people should know it’s bad taste to hold their party in an abortion clinic. We desperately need an infusion of people with character into our political forums.

BINGO! You sir are observant. All these morons are doing is recreating an older custom and more or less mimicking Robespierre and the Cult of the Supreme Being, which is probably the determining factor in why the American Founders dropped their support for him.

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 11:30amLet me get this straight…..a party taking place because of a time year set aside for the celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus in a venue dedicated to killing babies? Only an effing liberal can muster that olympian sized hypocrisy. Just when I think I hate liberals enough..they find new ways for me to hate them.

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 10:10amAlthough I disagree with their choice of location…I guess it’s only Democrats that have gotten abortions at the clinic..that‘s why it’s one of the largest clinics in the south. Also for a conservative state the rate of AIDS and divorce are higher here. One in four of our youngsters here in Houston are having sex by the 6th grade…and all anyone can think is democratic vs republican? WOW

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 11:37amHopefully, the people of texas will hold these baby killers accountable for thier actions. Just because the supreme court said it is legal, does not mean it’s morally correct. We need leaders we can respect. This truly shows america where these evil monsters stand.

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 11:37amWell, Mayor Annise Parker is a Democrat.
If you as a Democrat are ashamed of the actions taken by Democrats, why do you remain a Democrat? I think all Democrats should express their pride at fellow Democrats going wild in an abortion mill.

Posted on November 30, 2011 at 10:11pmThe interesting choice of the date for their ‘holiday party’ caught my eye. In the catholic world this is the very holy feast day of The Immaculate Conception, how ironic. Although you can be assured that the irony was not lost on the diabolic influences behind abortion. The devil would like to insult God in any way that he can, his pride won’t allow anything else.

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 7:01am@Broker, Yeah. Kinda what the article says.
The idea of being ‘festive’ at a place where children are murdered on a daily basis isn’t my idea of a good time. Kinda like holding Marti Gras at Aushwitz. The two just shouldn’t go together.

Posted on December 1, 2011 at 7:17amThere is a difference in “celebrating” the death of an 80 something person who lived a long and fulfilling life and the death of a new life that was torn to shreds and dumped in a trash bin! Get a life!
