‘Thank You Mr President For…’: Read What One Union Mailer Has to Say About President Obama

President Obama’s relationship with unions has been extraordinarily cozy, even by the standards of Democratic presidents. Yet even Obama himself might blush at one mailer that was sent out by a local UAW union – Local 838 – which reads more like the Tumblr a 16-year-old girl would devote to her crush than like a newsletter issued by a union. The newsletter also includes some fascinating musings on company policy surrounding something called a “face book” (apparently distinct from “Facebook”), as well as advertisements for workshops on Immigration and Workers’ Rights, and on spreading union protest tactics from ‘Wisconsin to Wall St.’ What is included in this newsletter has to be seen to be believed, so the Blaze has taken the liberty of providing extensive screenshots. Commentary would almost be redundant.

I have dealt with these leaders, and believe most members would be horrified if they knew what the leadership says when the doors are closed.

Afterall, unions were established to protect the worker when there were no laws protecting the working man. Now, the employee can use the law to sue an employer when that employee has been wronged. JZS does often have a different viewpoint than most other people and I have occasionally criticised him myself, as have others. I’m sure that few here would consider him a troll, however, and the sustained attack by you and Amos-moses stuck out like a sore thumb.

I got out and wow, it seemed as if I got a raise – no union dues. Shortely after that the guy was fired for same horseplay. The union didn’t want to lose union dues but ended up loseing two dues.

Some of the stiffest opposition to the Keystone Pipeline is coming from people who live in the areas where the pipeline would run through, because they’ll pay most dearly in the case of a spill.
