That‘ll Show ’Em: ‘National Same Sex Kiss Day’ Coming to a Chick-fil-A Near You

Okay, let’s see if we can get this sorted out:
Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy said in a recent interview that his company supports the “traditional family unit” and, therefore, opposes gay marriage.
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that,” Cathy said.
Cathy also said the following [via Ken Coleman Show]:
I think we‘re inviting God’s judgment when we shake our fist at him, you know? “We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.”
And I pray on God’s mercy on our generation, that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try and redefine what marriage is all about.
For a company that voluntarily closes on Sundays and donates millions of dollars to Christian charities, Cathy’s stance on the issue shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
But it did.
Chick-fil-A’s Facebook page quickly filled up with messages of protest, Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino has vowed to block them from opening an eatery in his city, and The Muppets have broken off ties with the company.
However, the company isn’t entirely alone. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee applauded Cathy’s remarks and declared August 1st national “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
But in response to Gov. Huckabee, an anti-Chick-fil-A group has now declared August 3rd “National Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil A” day [yeah, we know, this is getting pretty silly]:
“Unless you‘ve been living under a rock this week you’ll have noticed that Chick Fil A has officially come out against the LGBTQ community,” the protest’s Facebook page reads.
“In honor of their support for love, equality, and the real definition of family, we‘re holding a NATIONAL Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil A’s around the country. So grab a friend (or 20) and head out to your nearest Chick Fil A!” it adds.
Because what better way to bring about understanding and acceptance than to storm a public establishment and furiously make out?
Final thought: We’re finding this whole “tolerance” thing slightly confusing. If we understand the situation correctly, people are mad at Chick-fil-A because, they say, the company is “intolerant” of the LGBT community. This is unacceptable because “intolerance” is bad. Therefore, we must be intolerant of Chick-fil-A’s “intolerance” because, again, “intolerance” is bad.
Wait …

Posted on July 23, 2012 at 8:41pmWow! The rapid pace of moral decay in America is absolutely scary.
Had there been a news flash twenty years ago (1992 is not that long ago), and the news anchor declared there was an important message from the CEO of Burger King. Had that CEO stepped in front of the camera and microphone, cleared his throat, and declared “We at Burger King would like to declare that we believe the definition of marriage to be the union between one man and one woman”. When he got done speaking, you would have had nothing but a long pause, crickets chirping, and blank stares. Folks would have been confused, and thought “why is he telling us the obvious, marriage has always been between a man and a woman”.
Fast forward 20 years, after two more decades of MTV, cranked up indoctrination from the multicultural education failure system, a full court press from the degenerates in Hollywood, and when the CEO of Chick – Fill-A declares he and his family believes a marriage to be between a man and a woman, half the county poops on themselves, and runs around like confused chickens with their head cut off.
I don’t see how folks cannot see the financial mess, the continuous wars, the moral decay, socialist in the white house, and not see us going down the drain just like Rome did.

All these protests done by these wacko leftists and special weirdo groups attack and never prosecuted. It’s time to slam and jam. Jam them up with Big Bubba and give them all they can handle. Big Momma can have her share too.

Posted on July 23, 2012 at 10:04pmMarriage between a man and woman has been part of every human society for thousands of years. In the last two deciades, saying that you support a thousands year old tradition makes you a radical and hate-monger? This is another example of how liberal philosophy is like an acid that eats through any container in which it is placed. There is no limiting principle.

Sexual preference has -0-to do with it… THEY wouldn’t like someone attacking them 24/7 …. running naked down the streets; using foul language in front of kids…. they are making people dislike them. What they do in their bedrooms is their business as long as they don’t try to involve me/my kids/my grandkids… I don’t have to agree with it. I’m not GOD. GAY GUYS… THINK before you act!!! What is your goal? Ruin our Society or be accepted? Guess which one seems to be winning! LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT for all this.

They need to get their heads on straight for they are according to Scriptures committing an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. They are standing against everything and play church with their own gay pastors. It is an abomination and a sacreligious thing for them to act like they are. People would not be so apalled at this if it was normal. People have knowlege as to what is normal and what is not. It is embarrassing and should not even have to be discussed. They are alienating people not causing them to accept this. I would not want to hurt anyones feelings but when they try to make me believe a lie and go agains God and tell me it is OK is when I will tell them it is a lie from hell and they are deceived.

Posted on July 24, 2012 at 11:59am@ Ranger, Homosexuality and pedophilia are not equivalent. They are completely different sexual orientations. You wouldn’t say that your average straight male who dates women his age is the same as a straight male who molests a 5 year old girl.

Posted on July 23, 2012 at 8:23pmHistorically, it has never been easy for man to adhere to the moral conduct of God.
The Atheists lament having to follow the rule of law in a Country which founded it’s laws from the book of Deuteronomy.
Unwittingly, they believe by removing God’s laws of moral conduct from the public square, that somehow, man will rise.
This is a false premise.
Man does not rise in the absence of moral code, rather a man who turns away from moral conduct is like a dog.
Proverbs 26:11 says;
“As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his folly.”
Report Post »Dan_o
Posted on July 23, 2012 at 11:30pmGood analogy. It isn’t just that fools are like dogs, they eat the very same thing that made them sick in the first place. So by turning from law based on God’s moral code, they expect morality as a result…which has the end result of making them god since they get to define right and wrong. Pretty selfish and prideful thinking. I really feel sorry for them.

Posted on July 23, 2012 at 8:58pmI think you have it backwards.
It is the LGBT that is intolerant of those who hold to a higher moral conduct.
Instead of living along side your brothers and sisters in the community in peace, the LGBT community seeks to subvert existing laws.
Nor would I treat anyone in the LGBT community unkindly, in fact God teaches:
” But love your enemies do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.
Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the
ungrateful and wicked.” Luke 6:35
