The Beginning Of Extremist Islamic State: Now the Muslim Brotherhood Is Calling for Egyptian Modesty Police

Despite the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper calling Egypt’s branch of the Muslim Brotherhood movement “largely secular.” in early February, the Muslim Brotherhood is now calling for virtue police, which were prevalent in medieval Islamic societies to enforce public virtue and modesty.

Officials of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s leading Islamic group, have called for the establishment of a Saudi-style modesty police to combat “immoral” behavior in public areas in what observers say in another sign of a growing Islamic self-confidence in the post-Mubarak era.

In the political sphere, the Brotherhood led a successful drive to get voters to approve a package of constitutional amendments. On the street level, at least 20 attacks were perpetrated against the tombs of Muslim mystics (suffis), who are the subject of popular veneration but disparaged by Islamic fundamentalists, or salafis. After some initial hesitation, Islamic leaders have publicly praised the revolution.
“This is incredibly worrying to many Egyptians,” Maye Kassem, a political scientist at the American University in Cairo (AUC), told The Media Line. “The salafis were always undercover in Egypt and now they are emerging as a political force. They are getting too vocal.”

Newly freed from the political strictures of the Mubarak era, Egypt has turned into a battleground between those who envision a liberal, secular state and those who advocate various shades if Islam. The conflict mirrors those taking place elsewhere in the region. In Bahrain, unrest has evolved into a conflict between Sunni- and Shiite Muslims and the US has pulled back from supporting Libyan rebels over concerns they are dominated by Islamists.

Isn’t the same thing that the union thugs in Wisconsin kept saying when they over ran the capitol building? Look at what the result is. Morals police. How long until public floggings, hand removal, be-headings, and the ever popular stonings? Also we have the enlightened left laughing at Beck for saying that there is the possibility that we are seeing the beginning of a new mid-east caliphate being formed. What is the stated goal of the muslim brotherhood and al-quida? A new caliphate, which also includes the return of Spain to islam. If they have their way, coming soon to a neighborhood near you, sharia law, and as it is taking place the liberal progressives, although not for long since they will be one of the first ones with their heads on the chopping block.

    Gee, what a surprise! I mean, who would have seen this coming? When Obama was yacking that “Mubarak must go,” most rational Americans knew where this would lead. Having spent some time in the KSA, I can tell you that the ‘modesty police’ (Muttawa) which are really a religious authority are nothing but bullying thugs who intimidate and bring real fear with them. Civil police? Not so much.

    This is the start of the dead end of Egypt for the next 500 years.

    Next, they’ll wreck the pyramids and so on, because you can’t have evidence of any culture older or more venerated than Islam.

      If the brainiacs know how oil is formed in the earth, and have explained it in text books for schools and what not, why exactly can they not create a method to do that artificially? And why haven’t there been engine designs that eliminate pollution altogether (such as a hydrogen engine that produces water vapor), wouldn’t that be better than too much “Carbon Emissions” and all that “Global Warming” horse SHHHH-Hit.       It is my belief that Obama believes in a God so he is not an atheist. I think he probably believes something close to deism. People are right in saying he is certainly not a Christian despite what he may claim. By the same token he is also not a Muslim as they are required to live their faith much more than a Christian. I think he is an ideologue that will be more swayed by political motivation than any belief in a deity.

And that since they all plan to spread their religion by the sword around the world, (MSM will not cover the conversion to Islam going on at the point of the sword/gun, or the slaughter occuring against christians world wide) I say we need to play catch up and start reciprocating.       You are right it is beyond Obama ot have a plan for this. He is too stupid and disorganized to plan it. However, by opening his big fat mouth during the Egyptian riots he encouraged others to do the same in thier countries and it spread like wildfire thoughout the middle east.       @ UPSTATE……..agreed, they are always shifting focus, blame, and consequences onto others. It’s what their ideology is based in. No consequences for one’s own actions. Everyone is a victim, except those that disagree with them !!!

      Surprise surprise. Wasn’t the press soiling themselves over the great democracy that was going to be put into place in Egypt when the bad old tyrant was ousted? So when the first woman stoned to death in Egypt under the new regime of Sharia Law will Obama stand up and demand tolerance and condemn the actions of the MBE now assuming power in Egypt?

      Let’s talk issues. Is Obama a Muslim or not? Surely he is a Muslim sympathizer isn’t he? Clearly he has demonstrated his bias towads that proclivity and the power to be in the middle east. If he is not then he is clearly a coward.

      It was plotted and in place way before Mubarek was ousted. Only a braindead could not see this coming. It is the same in Libia. Gadaffy will be replaced with a regime far more suicidal than he. Cruise missiles won’t deter or contain what is coming. All of the middleeast will be an Islamic calafate before it is over. It won’t be long now.

      Islam–over a thousdand years of history with NO significant progress. We could nuke the whole lot of them back to the 6th Century and the world would be a beter place. And now they are chopping of heads in Liberia. These people are insain. Wherever they take control they set progress back hundreds of years. They have 6th century mentalities with 21st centruy weapons.

      Notice how Obama tells leaders they must leave, in countries that the Muslim Brotherhood wants to take over. Next stop. Yemen. Notice how Syria, gets a pass. And Ivory Coast. Wonder why?..simple, there Muslim leaders go along with Iran. Don’t ya get it yet?..Our POTUS and Secty of State are lying in bed to destroy America and Europe. Once the Islamists take care of Israel, Saudi, and the US. The NWO elite will then have new wars of ‘Protection’. Look who is sitting back and waiting, China and Russia. After all they will need ‘oil’, not green energy, like ‘windmills’, and ‘ethanol’.
