The Blaze Magazine Exclusive Report: How Voter Fraud Threatens Your Rights

Below is an excerpt from our powerful cover story, “Threatening Your Vote,” by Madeleine Morgenstern. Madeleine explores how voter fraud threatens the rights of every citizen, yet the government and media blast those who dare to protect our electoral system.

So what can Americans do? Stand up.

————————–

The integrity of our electoral system and the voices of millions of Americans are at stake when governments, political parties, media and activists won’t crack down on fraud, abuse and outright cheating at the polls—and berate those who dare to stand up. A new movement of concerned voters, epitomized by the grassroots organization True the Vote, is taking the fight to the corrupt by appealing to ordinary citizens’ common sense.

TheBlaze Magazine Exclusive Report: Voter Fraud Threatens Your VoteWith miserable unemployment numbers, crushing national debt and the battle over health care still raging, it’s difficult to overstate the importance that the results this fall’s election will have. But what happens if this most sacred of civic duties is compromised? What happens if there are people out there working to corrupt the system for their own personal gain?

If we don’t have truly free and fair elections, just where does that leave us as a nation?

At least 44 states have seen charges or convictions for voter fraud in the last 10 years, according to a vote fraud study from the Republican National Lawyers Association. Charges have included voter impersonation, vote buying, absentee ballot fraud and double voting. In 2010, a Nebraska man was arrested after investigators said he submitted nearly 200 phony names during a drive for a minority voter registration group. Last year, a Mississippi NAACP official was convicted of fraudulently casting absentee ballots in the names of 10 people—four of whom were dead—after forensics matched her DNA to the envelope seals.

The need to protect the voting process—above and beyond efforts local, state and federal governments happen to be taking—has led everyday citizens to take matters into their own hands. True the Vote is one such grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving election integrity. Self-described as “developed by citizens, for citizens,” the Houston-based group recruits and trains volunteers to serve as election monitors and also to validate existing voter rolls before a questionable registrant can cast a potentially fraudulent ballot. Their primary goal heading into the 2012 election is to have 1 million poll watchers in place around the country so that when Americans go to cast their ballots on Nov. 6 they do so freely and fairly.

Leading the charge is Catherine Engelbrecht, who started True the Vote in 2009 after she and others from their local Tea Party group volunteered to work the Houston polls as Harris County election monitors. Her eyes were opened, she said, when she saw people in line with multiple voting cards and others who flat-out said they did not know who to vote for being directed on how to vote by poll workers.

TheBlaze Magazine Exclusive Report: Voter Fraud Threatens Your Vote“When you watch something like that happen, you’re faced with a choice,” Engelbrecht told attendees at True the Vote’s national summit in Houston earlier this year. “Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of everything we are.”

More troubling, she said, is that if this is what happens when people are watching, what happens when they’re not?

A Problem One Side Wants to Ignore

Many liberal groups brush aside the issue of voter fraud, arguing that claims of it are overblown and that conservatives perpetuate the “myth” as an excuse to disenfranchise minority voters by implementing voter ID laws. But a Rasmussen Reports public opinion poll earlier this year found that 64 percent of likely U.S. voters believe voter fraud is a problem, and 73 percent think requiring an ID to vote is not discriminatory.

In one-third of the United States, voters can walk into their polling place and cast a ballot with nothing more than their name and no need to prove they are who they say they are. On the other hand, a total of …

Real simple, once you vote your thumb gets dipped in ink. Works in the third world, why not here? As for who you say you are, you have to show proof of citizenship with the e-verify system.

I have endorsed the ink on the thumb practice along with a valid picture ID to boot. Dipping you thumb in ink would at least stop the vast majority of duplicate voting. The last few years I‘ve voted I haven’t had to prove who I was. I didn’t even have to show my voter registration card. I just stated my name they pollster looked me up on the voter roll and checked my name off and then I was handed a ballot. If someone had come in before me and complained they were me and voted what would they had done when I came to vote? There was a push a few years ago to purge the voter list to purge people who have moved or have died but the liberal who were in power stopped it.

I’m not normally in New Hampshire in November, but I was for the 2004 election. I am just north of the Mass. border. I drove by the polling place here on election day and one third of the cars were from Mass. I drove over to Keene, just across from Vermont, you guesed it, a lot of VT cars in the polling lot. John Kerry carried NH, normally a red state, by 1.4 %.

I’m not registered in NH, but I guess I could have voted for Bush if I had gone in.

There are 2 ways to remove traitors who have infiltrated our highest ranks.Elections or Violence.

Of course me,you, and most of us would prefer Elections…BUT what happens when your vote is negated by an illegal,a dead person, mickey mouse,32 Tony Romos, and 24 white eric holders?

These people get into power via fraud, political correctness, social “just us”,affirmative action, etc. They then change our laws to faciltiate the problem further. The vicious cycle snowballs until you lose your country right under your nose. It’s too late when you finally notice or grow the pair needed to do something about it.

If we had pure elections the commies and rhinos would be done for decades and you and your family’s quality of life would improve within a year, unless of course you are on the gubmint dole

The creator of Doonesbury refuses to get it. He is lucky that he is old enough that the newspaper’s demise won;t affect him much.

During the Wisconsin recall election 100% of either Madison or Milwaukee voted. In a state like Wisnconsin the largest city usually has enough votes & enough fraud to decide the electoral votes for an election.

Both sides should agree that voter fraud hurts all Americans. There should be stricter laws and penalties for voter fraud. Maybe then people will think twice doing it. If they know they will be thrown in jail for a few years they might not do it. It is just too easy today to get people to do voter fraud. The last election they handed out cash and cigarettes. People were voting under Mickey Mouse. There needs to an ID for voting to stop people from voting several times and from using false names. It amazes me that you need an ID for everything else but the liberals don’t want it for voting. That is because they know the fraud is coming from their side and it benefits them in the elections. If not they would push harder for it.

      Lefties are racists because:
-They discriminate on color, the Right excepts all based on their actions and content of character. -They base historically off color their defining of eligibility, services, and funds (taxpayer, not their own). Not the right.
-They call out minorities as inferior, they “can’t make it without the S.S. or Medicare that the right wants to take away.”

So leftie, you are saying the minorities cannot get this I.D. but Whitey can? Why do you think ‘blacks, browns, and yellows’ are inferior? Why oh Why are you a racist Mr. Leftie? Afraid they will leave the plantation and you will lose power and be defeated like the REAL DEM CREATED Jim Crow laws were defeated? Poor Poor leftie.

Your rights are not threatened. Name one thing that prevents you from voting. I am sure you have an ID to purchase your booze. You must drive a car. If you fly anywhere you need an ID. If you charge anything on a credit card you surely must have an ID because they don’t give a credit card to someone without one. You must have a bank account in which you would need an ID to open.If you are on any state assistance you would need ID to collect that. Come on, you can‘t be that lame that you don’t have any ID.

Glenn, Sean, Rush, etc., with the exception of Dr. Savage, are promoting vote fraud by ignoring Obama’s ineligibility.

“Obama is ineligible for multiple reasons:
    1. Not a ‘natural born citizen’ as required by Article 2, Section 1.
    2. Born a British citizen pursuant to British Nationality Act of 1948.
    3. Law enforcement has concluded his birth certificate is fraudulent.”[1]

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, … that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, … Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” – Declaration of Independence

Obama routinely omits ‘Creator’ when speaking of these rights. No ‘Creator’ = no ‘unalienable’ rights! He loathes liberty and our Constitution!

Don’t omit Art 2, Sec 1, of the Constitution when speaking of Obama. Restore economic sanity, limited government and adherence to our Constitution!

    1. Register & VOTE.

    2. Demand Congress depose and prosecute Obama, along with his co-conspirators! Any politician or judge refusing this duty in violation of their oath of office, should also be regarded as a co-conspirator and similarly deposed or voted out of office.

    3. Boycott complicit mainstream media advertisers and inform them you detest their enabling the worst cover-up in American history!

I doubt they will do anything at this late date. I wish they would, but Eric Holder would just keep them in the courts until after the election, and if Obama doesn’t win (THANK GOD!) Holder will just keep them in the courts until (?) I’d rather Obama and his wife move to Kenya!

      @ Chuck Stein

Sancho appears to truly be a faithful friend but unfortunately he is also cowardly, much like those in Congress pretending to honor their sworn oaths. That will not do!

“A nation can survive its’ fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor–He speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation–he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city–he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.”Cicero, 42 B.C., Roman Statesman, orator, and author.

Expressing the opinions of a racist website, that fails to provide the truth, only proves that you are a racist fool.

Enci-whatever, just stating that something is so doesn’t make it true: ‘Racist, SmartDesign, Lefties are better educated’.

TeaParty & Beck are all inclusive if you have the right CONTENT OF CHARACTER.

      Back it up you windbag.
