Last week, the jobs report had many excited: unemployment hit a two-year low. Then we brought you a chart and fact that showed while the numbers were good, there’s still a long way to go. Now, here’s another one of those charts from Gregor.us via Business Insider.
“Of course, the structural problem of America’s labor market is unchanged, because of population growth during that same time period,” writes Gregor MacDonald. “At current rates of ‘jobs growth’ it would take until 2016 to regain the employment highs of 2006-2007.”
Here‘s the chart that shows what he’s talking about:

Wow, you‘re telling me I can’t read the chart? Are your eyes actually open? Yep, 2010 and 2011 are upwards, but still haven’t even reached 2009 WHEN HE TOOK OFFICE. Notice the upslope from 2003-2007, when repubs held congress. Dems take over and we move sideways one year, then tank. Keep spinning texas, but the numbers don’t lie.

Can you see the line from 2008-2011? Can you read the numbers? Over 146 mil employed when he left office, under 140 mil employed now. How do you spin that in Obama’s favor?

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 10:11amThe real unemployment rate is around 17 to 20% it’s that high when you factor in the under employed and the people who are already employed but looking for more work. The reason the umemployment rate is at 8,8% is because the obozo adminstation is measuring the rate by counting the number of people who sign up for unemployment benefits. So if you don’t sign up they count you as employed. REMEMBER PEOPLE NO INCUMBENT PRESIDENT HAS EVER BEEN REELECTED WITH UNEMPLOYMENT OVER 8%.

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 9:53amSocialism and Communism are siblings. Both take over control of a Nation’s wealth and in doing so, the people as well. Numerous lessons are available in history of this phenomenon that have been supplanted by multiculturalism studies, black studies, etc., unfortunately. Joe McCarthy tried to expose Communists a long time ago, and look what happened to him. They actually destroyed him and hastened his death. If the Communists were that strong then, how strong do you think they are now? You can throw “Progressives” in the same sewer as the Communists: both are leading us down the same path. Stop demonizing McCarthy and learn what happened. And who were his subjects of inquiry? Why, Hollywood and Academia. Small wonder.
Our wonderful Nation is a product of Western Civilization, not Africa, Asia or other external cultures. We must realize that and further improve on a civilization that has weathered a very tortuous evolution to arrive at this amazing United States and its Founding Documents. Far too few people are aware of how this culture and Nation came about. They need to know lest it be destroyed. Its destruction is in process: be aware.

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 10:32am@HRANDYM socialism and communism is used in the media as a smoke screen currently. Less so in the past. I am sure the founding fathers didn’t envision all the lobbyist we have today. One reason the republicans love tax cuts for the wealthy because the corporations pay their campaigns etc want it that way. There are other reasons like job growth but this is secondary imho. Same with global warming for democrates, lobbyist give them money to campaign on this etc. It goes on and on. It happens with the media too. Can’t really trust them. What is really going to bring this country down is the difference between the wealthy and the poor. It just keeps getting wider and wider. This I don’t understand. The middle class is getting crushed and they don’t have a backbone to do anything about it.

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 12:59pmSource, what Obama is doing is not going to help close the gap between the rich and the poor, it will only grow the gap even greater. There are too many examples in history; practically any quasi or pure socialist or communist state consists of the ultra rich and the masses. Redistributing wealth with higher taxes and social programs takes away any incentive to start a new business or grow an existing business which creates jobs. Therefore the folks with their hands stuck out waiting for the government handout will just continue waiting for payday by sitting at home watching Jerry Springer, and that number is growing despite what the Obama administration is telling everyone. I want to control my own future without the government stepping in at every turn to take away my profits and in turn taking away another job I may be able to provide. For every dollar I use to create a job, the government will take the dollar and waste 90 cents of it before it ever reaches a payroll check. This guy Obama has WRECKED our nation’s economy and ruined our standing in the world, and soon he will crater the dollar. Then we are screwed!! We have a hell of a hole to crawl out of and all he can do is dig it deeper.
I actually feel sorry for the guy, Obama. He is in WAY over his head!! Any one of us could do better than what he has done. He was so UNDERqualified to be POTUS it isn’t even funny. He hasn’t learned a thing in his term.

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 10:29amThe biggest reason for jobs going overseas isn’t dem or repub. It’s cost. The number one cost in virtually any business? Labor. Unions helped end unsafe work environs, child labor and were a general good. They helped solve most of the pressing labor issues of our society. Now the job is done and all they have left to do is extort contracts from companies that make them uncompetitive, and the solution? Move the factory where the over-weighted unions aren’t. It’s not complicated.

They both need to go….This is a battle not between Rs and D’s, but between America hating Progressives and American Conservatives. A long time R, I am no longer affiliated with either party. Dunderheads like John McCain and Lindsey Graham are equally as disgustingly Progressive as Hllary Clinton and Chucky Schumer. I omit Obama becauser he’s not merely Progressive he is just plain anti-American and King Harry because he’s just an addled old moron. In NOvember of last year, the MSM shouted that the TEA Party candidates would be hijacking the Rs…I told everyone who would listen that it was the TPers who would take over the R party. I still depsise them both, but the Ds are just so arrogant and profoundly stupid, that until a viable third party is capable of winning the “Battle of the Bucks” and, hence, national elections, I’ll have to stay more aligned with the Rs. With God’s help. though, we will steadily put all the establishment Rs and D’s out to pasture and keep them away from all decent himan beings.

You will find out soon that employment is a very small part of the problem. A very large part is the bankruptcy of our Nation. What good is a job if your money is worthless? What good is a job if the major portion of your so-called income is confiscated in taxes? What good is a job if you can receive as much money for not working? I would hope our Nation would wake up to this reality. The Tea Party has (mostly). We’re in a deep hole.

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 8:58amCharts and graphs don’t show the actual people who are either underemployed or stopped looking. I have been out of work for over a year. I have a college degree and tons of experience. Companies simply are making their current employees do more and not hiring. The ones who are hiring are doing so at rock bottom wages while CEO pay has increased 7% and their bonuses 47%.
The deck will always be stacked against the employee especially in a depressed economy. People say giving business tax breaks is the problem. No, you don’t understand. Business doesn’t pay taxes-we do. If they are taxed, regulated or given other mandates like Obamacare, they simply lay off employees and raise their prices. If they don’t make a profit, they don’t stay in business. Granted executive pay is greedy but most big companies do not care about employees-they care about getting the most from them with as little investment as possible.
If people aren’t working, they can’t buy and create production for other workers-plain and simple. In a nutshell, Obama’s policies are not working.

Psychosis, with dems it is all about power over the masses it is not about helping people never has been. All through the years dems have caused the poor to be more and more dependent on the government which makes them THINK the government is helping them when in fact it is holding them back and keeping them in their place. Also if you put this chart up with the spending that was happening while the dems were in control you would see just who caused the over spending as well.

Posted on April 4, 2011 at 8:42amPRESIDENT OBAMA’S MOTIVES:
Do you actually believe that Mr. Obama is actually trying to improve the economy? In recent history, almost all coups, resulting in a dictatorship were preceded by a very severe economic crisis. Is that economic crisis Mr. Obama’s objective? Remember when Rahm Emanuel , Obama’s chief of staff, stated one should never waste a crisis. What do you think he meant? You should be very afraid!
Mr. Obama presents 3 alternatives:
• Ignorance, which can be cured with knowledge
• Stupidity, which is forever
• Evil, he plans to avenge King George III by destroying the American Revolution and create a dictatorship.
Almost every initiative that Obama has instigated is destructive to the economy. Does anyone really believe that a President can be that stupid or ignorant? If you do, I have some perfectly dry, vacant land that is completely ready for development in Florida for sale cheap, cash only.
