Cuz there’s too much to be done,
Gotta go out and buy some gold,
Then GB says buy a gun.
Next on my list,
Gotta stock up on food,
Beck says the world’s about to change,
So he’s telling us we should.
I don’t have any money left,
Obama makes it rain on our parade,
He’d even take religion out of,
The Billy Graham Crusade.
Can’t tell the future,
But if you’ll wait a few more dayz,
Beck will warn us once again,
That we all need to be afraid.
…and round and round the cycle goes….

the word you were looking for is secede, and if Texas did so the USSA would be in serious trouble. You really should familiarize yourself with Transportation and Energy production. Personally as a Texan I am with the roughly 25% of the state that thinks we should secede so that we can get back to drilling the gulf and put a huge tariff on the exports to the US.
Oh and if you think the military can do something about it, guess where they get the weapons from and the ammo, and the officers and the….. If Texas left the US would truly be the third world cesspool that the liberal socialist democrats want to make it into.
If Texas left you would need that pipeline from Canada just to keep the lights on…Oh wait you would need to build some refineries to go with it and you know Herr Obama just will not let that happen.
I do not know why I bothered to point these things out, it is obvious you went to public school in a blue state and this is all far too complicated since it can not be written on a bumper sticker and made to rhyme with hope and change. Or is the Rope and Chains, or Dope and Mange

USSA United Socialist States of America (the vision of the Democrat party for America) a place that would make Cuba or N. Korea look like a paradise of freedom and economic prosperity.A place that would have free healthcare as long as you are not a very senior citizen who would be too expensive to keep alive with needless medical services or support as they are no longer useful to the state.
as for the federal jobs, aside from the workers at the social security call center in Dallas they would just become part of the Republic of Texas since it would need a military and such. the funding would come from the Federal taxes we Texans already pay. and since half of our taxes go to support states like NY, NJ and CA which all have far worse education systems than Texas we could afford to have even better schools. Having had to deal with the pathetic California school systems I can assure you that Texas has far better schools. Also with a truly reformed welfare system Houston, Dallas, and Austin would loose a lot of dead weight when people finally moved out and back to NOLO saving even more money.
So to answer your question, yes I an many other Texans have thought about what a gift secession would be for Texas.

You think Texas will be alone in that…. There is an old phrase that keeps kicking around my brain…. It goes:
The South Shall Rise Again!
I feel that Texas will have some good partners in raisin’ some hell if the USSA stays on the same path. We are waiting for Texas to make that first move. The way I see it, Texas will have the following States seceding with them:
Georgia, Tennessee, Arizona, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Louisiana…
Some strong possibilities are:
North Carolina, Arkansas, Kentucky & Utah…
This will happen especially if the President tries to declare marshal law. No law can hold these States to a Union that in its own Constitution would be a violation of the right and protections granted.

Posted on December 20, 2011 at 6:12pm@ KNAGGIELAND. OK, Texas would need it’s own army. Do you REALLY think that the Fed is simply going to give you a GIFT of the military bases (with or without is compliment of troops) which are on Federal land? Have you any idea how many $$$Billions are tied up in those facilities? And WHY did your dear leader (Rick) have to use $16Billion of Stimulus money simply to balance his State budget? Well again. Good luck with that!! Oh and of course you will be able to secure your own borders – without all the Federal high-tech stuff . You will be able to hold your own against ALL natural disasters (fires, droughts, hurricanes etc.) without Rick calling for Federal assistance. Or will you? As for your schools. Why since Rick Perry became Govrnor, has Texas FALLEN from 46th in the nation for graduation rates of high schoolers – all the way down to 50th. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/sep/08/new-hampshire-democratic-party/democrats-say-texas-graduation-rate-fell-50th-unde/ The Bottom!! Texas also ranks 47th (of 50) with regard to the care of your poor and vulnerable ————— The 10 most deficient state programs have overall scores ranging from between 317.8 and 379.1 of the total 1000 points. The worst, in order from 50th to 41st, are in Mississippi, Idaho, Texas, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Indiana, South Carolina, Colorado, Alabama, and Missouri.

Whatever Glenn TELLS to you think – or whatever is on this (or other right wing) website(s) I would CHALLENGE YOU to find the USSA in any history book, Atlas World Map, Congressionlal motion or bill, TV talking head (including Fox), newspaper or school textbook. Simply because Glenn might use a term DOESN’T make it so.
TARP was enacted in October of 2008 after Henry Paulson (Bush’s Secretary of Finance) presented a THREE (3) PAGE DEMAND to Congress after the Wall Street crash of September 15 2008 claiming that the entire country would COLLAPSE without Federal Assistance.
—————————————————
The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) is a program of the United States government to purchase assets and equity from financial institutions to strengthen its financial sector that was signed into law by U.S. President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008. It was a component of the government’s measures in 2008 to address the subprime mortgage crisis.
On November 12, 2008, Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson indicated that reviving the securitization market for consumer credit would be a new priority in the second allotment.
On December 19, 2008, President Bush used his executive authority to declare that TARP funds may be spent on any program that Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson deemed necessary to alleviate the financial crisis!
Good luck!

Posted on December 20, 2011 at 4:21amRon Paul has a lot of good ideas, may well have a better understanding of history than most and certainly has better domestic policy initiatives than any of the other candidates, but he fails miserably when it comes to his understanding of Israel and its’ place in the Middle East, as well as his understanding of where Israel stands on the world stage, meaning his Biblical understanding is very weak. That in itself would cause me not to support him.
Report Post »However, just as importantly, Ron Paul has an apparent misunderstanding of Islam and the Muslims and their clearly laid out agenda for world domination to the exclusion of the Jew and Christian, if not their utter destruction as well. We already have a turd in the White House now, who is not a supporter of Israel, and has shown himself at times to be an enemy of Israel and a supporter of the Muslim nations and their foolish agenda, if not directly, certainly indirectly.
Therefore, I am profoundly not confident with Ron Paul’s ability to make the right decisions as President on these most important and crucial matters.

If you really think Ron Paul has it right then before you vote ask yourselves these “in your mind” questions.
1. If the US pulled out of the Middle East would terrorism stop?
2. Would Muslims start to “Like” the West and US citizens?
3. Would Iran pull back their surrogates in Venuzuela?
4. Would the US be safe from Iranian nuclear weapons?
5. Would Egypt allow Christian institutions to exist and grow in peace?
6. Will Lybia institute a representative Democracy which supports Freedom of Religion?
7. Will Israel be allowed to exist as a Jewish nation?
8. Will the US citizens be allowed to travel on their own in country air system without federal violation of their 4th amendment rights?
If you answer yes to some or most of these questions then you must vote for Ron Paul.

Posted on December 20, 2011 at 2:19pm1. If the US pulled out of the Middle East would terrorism stop? You mean the terrorism that has been supported by our own country- like FBI set-up operations so we have ‘something’ to prevent? Ever hear of false flag? Look up the truth about the Gulf of Tonkin. In the USA you are more likely to die of a bee sting than a terrorist attack. Terrorism is a crime- a tactic- we need to treat it as such.
Report Post »2. Would Muslims start to “Like” the West and US citizens? I don‘t really care if they ’like’ us or not- but I do care that they are not being given an opportunity to really learn about God’s love thru Christianity. It‘s really hard to want to listen to someone talk about their ’superior’ religion when drones are dropping Hellfire missiles on you.
3. Would Iran pull back their surrogates in Venuzuela? Let Venuzuela worry about that.
4. Would the US be safe from Iranian nuclear weapons? YES! probably safer. We are stretched very thin militarily already and our warmongering is funded by China- at some point that will have to end. Additionally IRAN doesn’t have a way to even get a nuke over here. They don’t even refine their own gasoline.
5. Would Egypt allow Christian institutions to exist and grow in peace? That is Egypt’s problem. If it matters so much to you then you should go over and help the Christian’s in Egypt as a FREE individual.
6. Will Lybia institute a representative Democracy which supports Freedom of Religion? Let the people of Libya dec

Posted on December 20, 2011 at 2:27pm@neofan- They are criminals and should be treated as such. It almost sounds like you are advocating a religious war. Am I correct? As a Christian nation we need to heed the words of Jesus Christ when dealing with our enemies. As Christians we are to LOVE our enemies.
In the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says:
You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
—Matthew 5:38-42, NIV
In the Sermon on the Plain[1] in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus says:
27 ¶ But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 10:24pmThe song was great, but actually, the entire BS of A show is getting better all the time. The Christmas special with Santa was hilarious!

Posted on December 20, 2011 at 8:26amTexas sucks nowadays, too many illegals. Within 10 years or so white people will be the minority and mowing the lawns of drug lords.

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 10:12pmI would love to move to Texas to, they are about the last real place where an American can be an American and have some rights anymore, but then again I would like to come up with the money to get Being George Washington during these holidays. Im patient tho, I’ll wait till its on sale for $13 or so. When this country is forced to divide if things dont get better someplace in Texas can be our capitol.

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 10:15pmAustin is controlled by liberals. So I guess we need to liberate Austin somehow.

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 10:29pmWatch out for those progressive liberals moving to the heartland. It’s part of their plan to spread their destruction nationwide. Take my word.
So, what actually will happen to his studio that he spent so much $$ on for GBTV? Was that in NY, or is it actually in Texas? What about his staff?

Report Post »Yes, Austin is surrounded by liberal crybabies wishing to make the rest of the state look like “green” Austin. In other words, low flow showering and living in a cork house or something.. The old saying, “Keep Austin Weird.” is true for a reason. Austin is the San Fran of Texas. We all know it here. However, anything can change. The leftover, much older, commune loving hippies I don’t have a problem with, but the younger generation whose had everything and are occupying everything I despise, and wish we could throw them hell out of the state back to Cali or Vermont or wherever they want on a big non-air conditioned bus..

Posted on December 19, 2011 at 11:12pmAustin has always been weird, but it used to be fun. Yes there were a lot of hippies down there, but they were fun and always friendly ( think Willie Nelson). Now it seems like its getting nastier. Still is pretty country though, neat town.

Posted on December 20, 2011 at 6:17amI have lived in Austin all my life (53 years), and it sucks. What once was a fun town, has been destroyed by west and east cost liberals.
