‘The Harbinger’: Does This Controversial, Best-Selling Work Of Fiction Hold The Key To America’s Recovery?

Tonight on the Glenn Beck Program (5pm ET on GBTV.com), author Jonathan Cahn talks with Glenn about his book “The Harbinger: the ancient mystery that holds the secret of America’s Future.”

Does the controversial work of fiction The Harbinger hold the answers to Americas problems?

Cahn is President of Hope of the World Ministries and Senior Pastor and Messianic Rabbi of the Beth Israel Worship Center in Wayne, New Jersey, “sharing the message of Messiah to Jew and Gentile, Israel, and the nations.”

Rabbi Cahn’s New York Times best-selling work of fiction claims that the same warnings given to ancient Israel before its collapse are appearing on American soil. Can parallels be drawn between recent events and the stories in The Harbinger?  Cahn states that 90% of The Harbinger is fact, it is just framed in fiction.

Is the answer to the chaos bubbling all around the world found in the pages of “The Harbinger”? Beck and Jonathan Cahn will discuss the 9 Harbingers and how he sees them connecting to present day events.

Tune in tonight, 5pm ET or on-demand on GBTV.com.

It is apparent you do not understand Jewish idioms. So let me enlighten you and the other person this bit of information below.

      Yom HaKeseh: The Hidden Day
In Psalm (Tehillim) 27:5 it is written, “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.”

Yet another name for Rosh HaShanah is Yom HaKeseh, “The Day of the Hiding” or “the Hidden Day.” The term keseh or keceh is derived from the Hebrew root kacah, which means to “conceal, cover, or hide.” Every day during the month of Elul, a trumpet is blown to warn the people to turn back to G-d, except for the thirtieth day of Elul, the day preceding Rosh HaShanah. On that day the trumpet is not blown, and is therefore silent. This is because much about Rosh HaShanah is concealed and shrouded in mystery. The mystical aspect of Rosh HaShanah is indicated in Scripture: “Sound the shofar on the New Moon, in concealment of the day of our festival” (Psalm [Tehillim] 81:3). Satan, the accuser, is not to be given notice about the arrival of Rosh HaShanah, the Day of Judgment.

Rosh HaShanah is called Yom HaKeseh, or the Day of the Hiding, because it was hidden from satan (Ha satan), the adversary. The Bible says that satan comes to rob and to steal (John [Yochanan] 10:10, and to confuse (1 Corinthians 14:33). Because it is the Day of Judgment, it is symbolically hidden from satan (satan did not know and understand the plan of the

Because it is the Day of Judgment, it is symbolically hidden from satan (satan did not know and understand the plan of the cross [tree], First Corinthians 2:7-8). This was hidden from him as well. Believers never said when the day of Rosh HaShanah was; they simply said, “Of that day and hour no one knows, only the Father.”

One of the reasons most often given to disclaim that the resurrection of the dead and the catching away of the believers is on Rosh HaShanah is the statement given by Yeshua in Matthew (Mattityahu) 24:36, as it is written, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” Because Rosh HaShanah was understood to be the hidden day, this statement by Yeshua is actually an idiom for Rosh Hashanah. Thus it should be given as proof that He was speaking of Rosh HaShanah because Rosh HaShanah is the only day in the whole year that was referred to as the hidden day or the day that no man knew.

Spiritual Application (Halacha). Rosh HaShanah takes place on the new moon. Colossians 2:16-17 says that the new moon will teach about the Messiah. The Jewish (biblical) month is based upon a lunar cycle. The moon can barely be seen as the cycle begins. But then the moon turns toward the sun

Read the book in two days. I couldn’t put it down. It struck me to the core. We must be on our knees daily praying for this country, it’s people and land. I remind myself that God sends warnings to people, in hope that they will repent and change their ways. God would have saved Gahmorrah if 10 righteous people could be found, I’m sure God will protect and guide those who love Him. Our “country” may be in for a very difficult “call to repentance,” but we can choose right now to be kind, civil, patient and praise Him even during trials. He will remember us, and bless us, if we choose to honor Him.

Prepare NOW. Pray NOW and have HOPE in the pure sacrifice of His Son. Praise Him.

Abraham prayed/negotiated with God down to 10 righteous in Sodom and Gamorah. Noah saved only his family. Moses negotiated that not one would be lost, or God could destroy him. That is where our hearts must be for this country, that we pray and intercede for all. The Stars and Strips will fly deep into the Kingdom of God!!!

Folks, Re: Encinom and his ilk,

Before you’re tempted to feed the beast, remember the admonition of Matthew 10:12 to 15.

12 “When you knock on a door, be courteous in your greeting. 13 If they welcome you, be gentle in your conversation. 14 If they don’t welcome you, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way. 15 You can be sure that on Judgment Day they’ll be mighty sorry – but it’s no concern of yours now.

They clearly have no intention of welcoming any form of gentle conversation. We and our ideas are clearly unwelcome in their world. Yes, I know that they come to our door, in a manner of speaking; but engaging them on their terms not only belittles our conversation, it invites weakness into our walks and it violates the teachings we say we hold true. Divorce yourself if concern for them, we’re told they are not our matter.

Stop arguing with them, it only feeds them. Stop arguing with them and start praying for them. In our prayers they have no voice.

You assume I support the theology of either Beck or the Messianic rabbi. I do not. At no point did my post state that I did. Personally, I believe that end times theology is a distraction to the flock in that we can neither do anything to bring it about or postpone it. Further, it’s irrelevant to our individual walks; pre-millennial, post-millennial, amillennial, none of them matter. Each of us has an appointment with our own rapture; weather en mass with the flock or at our individual deaths. We will be called to an accounting.

I reject Mormon theology; in fact I have made and am making ministry to Mormons a significant part of my ministry. And that can’t be done through confrontation. Hearts and souls are lead home through gentle conversation, not fiery condemnations.

My post counseling prayer came from awareness that there are those bent on diverting conversations; shouting down any point of view with which they disagree. Engaging them in some poorly conceived notion of changing their mind only weakens the discourse. The end times theology is as valid as any other, regardless of my, or your, opinion. Antagonism does nothing to change anyone’s mind.

Perhaps I’m wrong; but then, your rather unique moniker shows up in a lot of places with similarly antagonistic conduct.

As Christ had to be crucified to fulfill the Word of God, the sins of the fallen world will have to be judged. It is a shame that people can’t listen to and read these warnings and change their ways. Pray for our nation that we will all fall on our knees and ask forgiveness. Why must people on the left continually vilify success? Beck and many others should be celebrated.

The formula is always the same: identify problems and solve them.

In Glenn Beck’s case, a we researched source of news and information was the need and problem millions of people wanted to solve. Media outlets and our popular press were not delivering anything short of Marxist propaganda. Mr. Beck stepped in with an alternative and people buy it. There is nothing wrong with that at all, and we should, as we used to, celebrate his success.

Every small business person does the same thing. We identify problems and solve them for our customers and we do it better, faster and more cheaply than the other guy and we do it with great consistency. We start with oursleves and a few customers and as we grow we add employees and begin to solve problems for an ever increasing number of people. A few years later… presto… an instant success, that took twenty years of sweat to produce. If I can do it, means that anyone can do it, and that my friend is one good version of “The American Dream”.

All we ask is that governments get and remain out of our way.

What is very interesting is the fact that the property that the twin towers sat on belonged to the property of St Paul’s Chapel where Pres. Washington and the rest of the founders dedicated this nation to God and His Word, the Bible; preaching that if we ever strayed, we will experience God’s warning judgements. Then, in an official act of gov’t, they went into the chapel and prayed for more than a single hour for this naiton. The ACLU would have a conniption fit if they existed back then. Of course, they would not exist back them because 99% of the people properly understood the Const and the 1st Amendment.

It is as simple as you have noted in other posts: either we turn back to GOD/or turn to HIM for the first time in our lives, or we are “done”.

    PRAYING ON, AMERICA.

No truth, just BS tall tales, no different than the ancient alien theories.

No doubt you will just die and turn to worm food only. Good luck with that and thanks in advance for finally putting your version of fertilizer to some good use.

History repeats itself. Our children stray time and time again, but when they repent and learn the lesson, we take them back.

God does the same thing, but eventually, it must come to a stop… I belief that the time is near.

I have read the Harbinger and I suggest everyone get a copy today and read it yourself. If you are fortunate enough to get GBTV don’t miss this show. Obama just fulfilled what the Harbinger warns us about.

Yes. Either we turn back to God or we perish.
