The Moment an Entire Wedding Party Falls Into a Lake After Dock Collapses While Taking Pics

Weddings are meant for lasting memories, and this will certainly be one of those.

(Related: Prom Picture Pandemonium: Deck Collapses Underneath Students During Photo Op!)

On Saturday, Eric Walber and Maegan McKee were tying the knot in Michigan. They decided to get some wedding pictures on a dock jetting out into a local lake. But as the wedding party stood there, the dock started to tilt. And that’s when it gave way:

The video is even more amazing:

The photographer who captured the video offers more details:

The day started out great…beautiful sunshine, gorgeous wedding party, pictures, details, everything in place. Then we headed off to the reception at Bay Pointe Inn on Gun Lake. We had a lovely dinner and were ready for dancing. But just before dancing, the bride and groom wanted a picture taken with their entire bridal party out on the dock. It was a beautiful setting for it! That is until the dock came loose! And the entire bridal party plunged into Gun Lake! The best part was that even though dresses, tuxes and cell phones might have been ruined, everyone’s spirits were not. They were all able to laugh it off and have a fantastic time. The bride changed into her rehearsal dress for the remainder of the evening

“I saw the thing starting to tilt, and I’m like, ‘Oh, yup, this is going to happen,’” Eric told WOOD-TV.

“I came up laughing,” Maegan added. “I was like, ‘Oh, man, that really just happened. I can’t believe that actually just happened.”

“Your wedding party falls into a lake at your reception. You can’t plan that,” she said laughing.

I did notice that the new husband took off and just left his bride to alone, one of the bridesmaids had to actually call him back to help her out. Good start to their marriage! At least they all had a good laugh about it.

Has to scan down 40 or so posts before someone seemed to get it.

The purpose of that set-up was to try to go viral.

Not even an Obama voter would be so dumb as to not know that flimsy pier was going down.

Looks like they needed a little excercise anyway.

The men have been well educated by the femi-NAZI crowd – their #1 rule is that they must be offended if a man offers to help them…

I noticed the same crap when I was growing up – women getting ‘offended’ if I held a door open, or if I offered to help I got, “i can do it myself.”

Well, women got what they asked for – now they work, clean the house, cook the meals, pay the bills, and raise the children… ALONE.

So let’s all cheer the femi-NAZI’s!!! Yeah!!!

There must not have been one engineer in the party who would have noticed that that dock might not be able to support close to a Ton of people.

Hey people, this was their wedding day. After planning and dreaming and having the wedding they could afford, then this happens. I give them credit for taking a fun picture at the end. Don’t be so cruel. Not all of us are ‘10’s. Including me. I am just average in looks, of course, I am brilliant in my mind. Just don’t be so mean, if they have love and are happy, their weight shouldn’t enter into it. JMO

To paraphrase Jacqui Rivait: “While there are certain social graces or politeness which involve not hurting another’s feelings, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. It is very confusing to children and the whole issue of honesty can be very frustrating for parents to teach.”

Anytime …A-N-Y-T-I-M-E you have the reception (or the ceremony, for that matter,) near a large body of water, (lake, pond, swimming pool, river, goldfish pond,) ONE IMMUTABLE TRUTH HOLDS:

The bride will end up IN the water… And very likely the groom…

Throw in a healthy dose of alcohol and the result is inevitable….. All it takes is one gentle PUSH!

In this case, someone forgot to inspect the dock for stability, weight limitations and restrictions?

Guess you don’t realize that empire waist dresses make any female look fat in the tummy and especially if they are large breasted and many women simply have wide hips due to bone structure and not because of fat … Try using a little insight, kindness and common sense and look at all of the womens arms to tell which ones are actually overweight … I see three for certain who are definitely not overweight …
