The Most Expensive Street In The World Is….

Most Expensive Road in the World: Severn Road Hong Kong

Financial News has named the most expensive street in the world, and for the second year in a row the recognition goes to a street not in New York City, Beverly Hills or London, but Hong Kong. One square meter of real estate on Severn Road goes for $78,200, while the top price for a square meter of property on New York’s Fifth Avenue goes for around $62,700.

Severn Road is located near the top of Victoria Peak and is home to around 60 private residences. Residents have fantastic views of Hong Kong’s harbors and famous skyline.

The Wall Street Journal notes that other streets in the Financial News top 10 include Fifth Avenue in New York, Kensington Palace Gardens in London and Avenue Princesse Grace in Monaco. The only other street on the list that’s in the Asia-Pacific region is Wolseley Road in Sydney, with a top selling price of US$21,000 a square meter.

The Chinese are not stupid. They have taken the great parts of America and used them to their advantage. They even steal our technology. The rest of the world looks toward America. They want to emulate us!

Whereas we have the OWS useful idiots who do not recognize the greatness of America and who seek to destroy it. They have never read the 5000 Year Leap because they don’t read, and they certainly don’t know history. And what history the OWS chanters do know has been fed to them by the Progressives (progressing us toward tyranny and death by government under Marxism that is) who hate America!

I’m repulsed to even watch these OWS parasites march into Target chanting their Marxist slogans of “government take care of me because I‘m a useless idiot and I can’t fend for myself.” They shame America and shame themselves.

Yes. China is not stupid and they‘ve emulated America and now they’re reaping it’s benefits. And guess who in the end will be left standing? I’m banking on America. As long as we come to our senses and turn the tide now. Because if we go down the road of the OWS useful idiots we will only see chaos and the destruction of America and the eventual tyranny and death by government. And it will be everything that George Soros aka Gyorgy Schwartz ever wanted. The destruction of the American Middle Class and the watering down of America so that he can orchestrate his Marxist mediocrity and usher in his global governance by the global elite

Quite frankly, the rest of the world is currently looking at America for examples on how not to do it.

It’s time for America to take a look at the world, take the good parts, and improve itself.

Sorry “Free”loader, Obama has cost us trillions. The problem with our economy is the government, not Wall Street. Risk takers make money, government is a leech sucking the life blood out of the economy. Once you kill off the “free” market, the government controls everything and employment is controlled by the government … oh yeah, sort of like Communism.

And occupy Wall Street is costing us millions of dollars in lost revenue, crowd control, police overtime and hazmat crews who have to clean up THC-laced poo and pee.

When OWS somehow manages to produce some high-paying jobs, please come and see us. Until then, shut up and go away!

Wall street is the means that help create those trillions of dollars … the politicians are the ones who are costing us trillions of dollars. They sell-out to the various people on wall street who are criminals. It’s not wall street, it is a few of the people, with the help of politicians, that are then able to abuse wall street who are the problem and then are not thrown in jail … most are Democrats.

Wall Street cost us trillions of dollars in the way that the government decided against letting them crash and burn.

Investments should be risky; The higher the risk, the larger the profits if you succeed and the larger the losses if you fail. The government decided to take all the risk out of investing by bailing out failed investments. The people who crashed the economy got out with a few extra millions courtesy of John Q. Taxpayer instead of ending up on the street in a cardboard box or in jail.

There are really two ways to go: Either reduce regulation and let them fail if they do or increase regulation to prevent high-risk investments and so-called “bad money” in the first place.

Frankly does John Doe care? To him the most expensive street in the World is the one he lives on, that holds the home that he is desperately trying to retain for his family’s welfare. I don’t really think that John Doe has the time or inclination to worry about what others may have when he, and Mrs. Doe, are struggling to just maintain what they have for themselves and their children. Honestly, articles like this should be reserved for the pages of “Town & Country,” and other equally snobbish publications that may be lying around in the First Family’s living quarters at the White House.

Technically in my book if you want the most expensive street around; it is the same ones where the Senate and White House are, along with all offices of the out of control Fed’s.

Free Trade balances out wages, and American wages have been steadily falling ever since, while Chinese wages continue rising swiftly. Used to be, Chinese labor was 60 cents a day. Now, it is 60% of the average American wage. The imbalanced trade will continue until parity is achieved in wages. That’s where you American Middle Class is headed, thanks to politicians. They love the trade imbalance – it is the engine that allows them to borrow ever greater sums, driving us into debt and forcing our children and grandchildren to work off thebalance, which will never happen. See: Greece.

How is it thanks to politicians instead of thanks to the market? The market will produce where it’s cheapest.

Also, while what you’re saying about Chinese wages is technically correct, it does not reflect the fact that there’s a huge wealth disparity. China is getting richer, but only because a few people are getting EXTREMELY rich. The regular worker still works for cents a day.

Hong Kong is free and a Capitalist society. It is incredibly business friendly…low taxes, and regulations. People always seek out freedom. That’s what makes the land there in such demand and expensive.
