The Odd Theology of Van Jones: ‘God Doesn’t Know Who You Are’

 

Van Jones, speaking at the University of Oregon, Jul 9, 2012:

If you are a person of faith like I am, you like to imagine that the Creator created us with free will — in other words, even God doesn’t know who you are.

You will let the universe know, you will announce to all creation who humanity is now that you have the power as a species to either preserve life or to destroy it.  To either rescue the earth, or to drive an extinction wave like we’ve never seen before. Your generation will make this determination.

Is the human species a species of locusts, that just came to devour and destroy and be gone? Or are we a species more like the honeybees, who’ve found a way for their work and their existence to not only fit in, but to ennoble and lift up and beautify the rest of creation.

Who are we going to be as a species? It will be determined in this century. It will be determined by you. No pressure. No pressure.

      I don‘t and I don’t think many here dislike Alex Jones for anything except the truther stance. MANY of his beliefs seem true and i agree with. I disagree with him myself on the level magnitude of FEMA in all of this either, but to each his on when it comes to that. I do read his articles quiet often and I appreciate many of the stories he’s brought out and exposed to the public eye. I believe he‘s has the spirit of a patriot but he’s let his paranoia go a bit too far and he alienates his allies just because they won’t go to his extreme.

    Van Jones, I will be a person who actually read the Bible and I will try and be a good steward of the Lord’s creation but (and here me well Van Jones) I will not hinder the ability of my neighbors or my countrymen to pursue their happiness because of some environmental “crisis” or allow the government more power to take away our freedoms and rights that were endowed by our Creator.

    Van Jones you are in many simple terms a world class moron and your actions speak very clearly exactly to this fact. In some ways I pity your ignorance and those who believe your trite ignorant words.

    Van Jones has not read Jeremiah 1:5 where God mentions that “…I knew you in your mothers womb.” before Jeremiah was a glimmer in his parents eyes.

    This is one more effort by the communists like Van Jones to besmirch religion and claim that God is not concerned with humanity, thus it heads down the path of social justice and communism in which the collective is all that matters.

    It is a corruption of biblical truth, and God will hold him accountable for his deeds.

    Truthfully! I didn’t read this. I have read a series of stuff that has been on here about Van Jones. You know? I am actually sick of even seeing his picture. The man is disturbed and shouldn’t even be allowed to walk among humans. I am tired of his communistic rhetoric and don’t care to hear from him at all. I am not going to lose any sleep over what he says. When he goes to hell I sure hopes he burns big time. Oh! Not if. When! He is going to hell. Most of this administration is working its way to hell. We need to free them up, not elect them again and then they can burn in hell. OMG

      Funny: bees are like capitalists: they work hard and actually create a product from their efforts. Van’s OWS type people are more like locusts: they consume stuff that others grew and destroy crops. Sadly, Van does not get the capitalism part of the analogy.       When members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints become gods over their own planets
      do they know the names of the people on other planets? It seems to me if you are a Latter-day Saints believer or follower of any religion that is not monotheistic there would be room for godheads not to know everyone’s name.

    Maybe Van “ bee” a bit confused ! Think our Van is running the honeybee/ collectivism analogy to say that God doesn’t value the individual . That it is only in collectivism that we have worth and that God sees us. Huh ??? ( Oh, and I’d love to know just what “ faith” Van is a man of !     Our Father in Heaven sent a loving Son (Jesus Christ) to atone for our sins. When he suffered in the garden, he suffered for our sins, and he knew everyone of us. When he sealed his mission on the cross giving up his life for us, he knew every one of us. To make any kind of suggestion that God does not know and love each and every one of us is heresy and a lie of the devil.

      The black race has been victimized, and continues to be victimized, by influential members of their own race, most of all. Liberals all lie, and blacks are blinded by their own RACISM, to such an extent that it could be called….blinded. Eric Holder is one of the worst when it comes to the patronization of the black American.
