‘The Problem With Racism Is Matt Drudge’: Bill Maher Defends Gwyneth Paltrow by Attacking Conservatives

Bill Maher came to Gwyneth Paltrow’s defense Friday night after the actress received harsh criticism for what some have deemed to be a racist tweet.
Playing on the title of the bestselling Jay-Z and Kanye West song “N***as in Paris,” Paltrow tweeted that she was with “n***as in Paris, for real,” after appearing with the duo at a concert in Paris.
“She was onstage with the people who wrote that song while they were actually onstage, in Paris,” Maher said, after saying “f**k you; I don’t care” to the audience over not bleeping the “n” word.
He continued: “I would just like to say that the problem with racism is not Gwyneth Paltrow. The problem with racism is Matt Drudge.”
Maher proceeded to show the audience a number of screen shots from the Drudge Report, with comments like, “Louis Farrakhan, cause he’s so relevant now…Oh yes, Reverend Wright, because he matters to your life so much…Michael Jordan, angry, [because] that’s how we all remember him…This is racism in America.”
Watch the whole clip, via Mediaite, below:
From there, political analyst for MSNBC Karen Finney could barely contain her frustration, saying, “The indignities that you have to endure at times [as a person of color]…Consider today that in the rose garden of the White House, a reporter interrupted the president in the middle of what he was talking about, with a racist comment saying, ‘Why would you put foreigners over Americans?’”
She continued: “That’s the kind of divisive talk, by the way, which I think is going to screw Republicans when it comes to immigration reform and with Latino voters– but the kind of indignities this president has had, has faced…”
An MSNBC panel Friday similarly asked whether a white president would ever have to undergo such trials, concluding that the interruption was “unprecedented and outrageous,“ and that ”we’ve never had a president like this heckled so disrespectfully,” failing to recall that George W. Bush literally had a shoe thrown at him while speaking.
Familiarly concluding that it is a “race issue,” democratic strategist Julian Epstein remarked: “I think the right wing has some explaining to do, because to me it’s patently obvious.”

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 11:09amThe anti-typical -White-people racism was on display from the minute Obama was sworn in, when that dimwitted pastor slammed White people in his prayer. Then, Holder, whom I know from a legal case in the 90′s to be a racist, dropped the Black Panther case — in which there was already a default against them. And then, Holder’s mignons instructed the DOJ not to pursue cases against Blacks. There are probably a thousand examples.

This is not the time to be timid or make attempts to accommodate these left wingers.

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 3:48pm@Walkabout – People like Bill Maher will never support a flat tax because that would mean that he would have to admit that he was wrong and his ego would never allow that. Also, these rich liberals will throw out crap about raising taxes on the rich for one of two reasons: It gives them a pass from the criticism of the MSM, or they will never actually pay higher taxes (Warren Buffet). So, if you feel compelled to boycott HBO then go right ahead, but do not do so under the impression that it will change their minds or even their bottom line for that matter.
@XSCRAMBLERX – The beautiful thing is that we do not have to throw them anything. They all ready have a firm grip on their very own anchor. Just keep letting them speak.
@Zaggynuts – I want you to take a second look at something you wrote. “we don’t have the luxury to allow it anymore”. I understand that we are in a battle for our very lives, but if we compromise our values and disrespect the Constitution that we are trying to save than we are doomed anyway. I am with you when you say we can not afford to be timid, but what good does it do to burn our own house down in the name of protecting it from our enemies. Secondly, the 1st Amendment is not a luxury for us to chose to allow or not allow. It is in an inalienable right that we are endowed with by our creator (That sounds familiar to me for some reason). I am with you brother/sister, but we must be true to our own values or we have already lost.

By now, that white guy with the work truck in Buffalo has most surely been vaporized. Perhaps Lloyd Blankfein has had him stuffed and he is now on display in the parlor.
However, I do not believe that Drudge is responsible for racism. Racism is a human characteristic, more prevalent in some races than others. It typically shows up in the white race only after something far uglier rears its head. This is why racism among whites is most common in prisons, where the two choices presented to arriving whites are join, or die.

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 8:44amThe ever-intolerant “tolerants” on the left, both in general & especially on PMSNBC have the viewership they have because of quasi-thought out opinions like this. The mere fact that they consistently can’t see that none of this issue has anything at all to do with racism is what renders them increasingly irrelevant.

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 10:19amYou just have to love when pasty-faced liberals like Bill Maher, Janeane Garofalo, and Gwyneth Paltrow define racism in the country. According to their line of logic(?), if I disagree with something that Anderson Cooper or Shep Smith say, then I must be homophobic; if I disagree with Nadal Hassan then I must be Islamophobic. Then you have the Tingle Up My Leg network saying that asking the President a question is racist????

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 1:03pmThis can’t be emphasized enough!
HBO is propaganda central, and if you patronize their Ministry of Deception, you really ARE part of the problem. You are rewarding the WORST kind of behavior: They purposely deceive American citizens through ALL of their programming. It is disgusting!
If you have failed to notice that you are being purposely deceived and manipulated by HBO, then this is your WAKE-UP CALL: NOT ONE MORE DIME TO THOSE DIRTBAGS!
Finally, I just love when one person says “we should boycott X because of what they said about Y,” and immediately – IMMEDIATELY – at least one moron will have to chime in with “GASP! YOU‘RE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY SOMEONE ELSE’S RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF blah blah blah.”
If you are one of these people who automatically jumps from “citizens letting their opinion be known by choosing not to patronize idiot/idiotic entity” all the way to Abolition of the Bill of Rights, you have 2 choices: You can either wise up and actually formulate your own opinions and arguments, or you can go join the rest of the wool-eyed fools on the left, who so eagerly repeat the lib media lies of the moment for fear that someone might recognize them for the empty-headed sheep they are.

Posted on June 16, 2012 at 8:34amThat’s the best he can do to show racism on Drudge? Really? With no context? I don’t give a flying fig what any stupid actress tweets, toots, toodles, etc. Makes me wonder why he is reading Drudge though. Just think, some of it might actually show him he is on the wrong side of history. Heads up , dear Bill, keep reading on there, they do their homework, unlike some idiots on TV.
