‘The Story of Us’: New Obama Re-election Vid Replays All His Viral Moments

Need a history of Barack Obama over the last five years? Then we’ve got the video for you.
A new Obama campaign video, put together by Boing Boing’s Joe Sabia, is a five-minute walkthrough of “presidential memes.”
Everything from videos of the president playing basketball, to swatting flies, to singing Al Green is included.
In short, it plays like a five-minute history of all the moments where the president has done and/or said something that has gone viral. At least the flattering moments, that is. For all the obvious reasons, comments about punishing enemies or stupid police have been excluded from the video history.
The video closes with this line from the president: “We have seen so much, but there’s so much more to do.”

In a statement included in the video’s description, President Obama guarantees the video will “make you smile:”
Five years ago today, a few thousand of us gathered in Springfield, Illinois, to launch an improbable campaign for president.
The task was to build a grassroots movement capable of making the kind of change we believe in.
You’ve got to see this video about that journey — it will make you smile.
From the very start this has been an experiment in our political process, testing whether ordinary people really can still come together to change this country.
We proved that it’s possible. But we’ve also learned that entrenched interests adapt and claw back even harder, which means this election will be even more of a challenge.

Report Post »In 2008, I would feel sick to my stomach looking at the GOP ads and seeing how inferior they were to BO’s. We need someone with some fire-in-the-belly to dig through and come up with 60 seconds that says it all! There is so much sitting on the shelves that shows how poor this guy has been as POTUS and what horrible mistakes he has made. The world is unsafe due to his policy shortfalls, but unless that is communicated, the public will not figure it out until Hamas is setting off roadside bombs in our own cities.

Just because he is photographed playing with his kids and singing doesn’t make him worthy as a president. Five minutes of knuckle bumping and swatting flies (Moochelle’s a$$ included) does not compare to the three plus years of failure he’s proven as a president.

Hollywood has been pushing re-do’s of old programs and destroying any semblance of why they were liked in the first place out like water out of a hose. That’s supposed to make “you” feel like “we”.
Hopefully they’ll be (at least) a thirty minute video speech-biograpghy of this man’s words and actions that goes viral. It should be called, “Yes I Did” .
– Included in the video should be his associates speaking; which would show who “We” are.
