The Video of a Half-Naked Man Streaking Behind Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton Sees Streaker in Hawaii

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton faced unruly protests in the Philippines today, culminating with an anti-U.S. crowd chucking red paint on a car in Clinton’s convoy. A less troubling (depending on your point of view) stunt was pulled by a prankster during Clinton’s trip to Hawaii to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference earlier this week. While posing for an official photo-op with Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang, a man carrying a lit torch and wearing nothing but a Hawaiin skirt streaked behind Clinton and the dignitary:

Video shows that Clinton was not too flustered by the prankster but rather enjoyed it. I guess having a tiki torch-toting man dressed in a loincloth showing up at some point is the risk you take when having a major conference of global leaders in Hawaii.

The question now is if running behind someone taking a photo in such an outfit will became the next icing, planking, Tebowing-type fad.

I bet she was on the phone firing a few people for the obvious glitch in security.

Seriously, what about cultural respect. I was in Hawaii and have witnessed the nightly ceremonial lighting of the torches. this is done at many upscale hotels, on the beaches and places where tourists would partake in the “Hawaiian experience.” In the pic I see a beach in the background. the man with the torch is dressed as I saw many dress for the luaus. The traditional garb for the Hawaiians is NOT a joke, they are very proud of their heritage. all of a sudden political correctness (which I don’t subscribe to) is being dissed by the Secretary of State. So we are laughing at their cultural and their traditions.

Someone needs to get out more. Also, I lived in Hawaii for 7 years, and hawaiians hate mainlanders (people from the mainland U.S.). First, they weren’t laughing at their culture, but keep believing that they were. Second, I wouldn’t care if they did. Hawaiians are full of hate, and laugh at how stupid mainlanders like you and me are. If they ever got their wish and we completely left the islands to them, they would be begging us to come back lol.

Lighten up Francis – they weren’t laughing at the guy per se with the tiki torch – they were more laughing at the situation they found themselves in – taking a serious picture and then someone unexpectedly runs through the back of the photo shoot wearing a loin cloth and a tiki torch. I guess that happens to you everyday so it‘s commonplace but to most people it doesn’t – so that in itself makes it funny – don’t ya think?

Fools! If they knew anything at all they would know that every sunset the guys run through while conch shells are blown and then the tiki lights are blown. Such self centered people who don’t have a clue! They acted like a couple of sixth graders. And the media? What a bunch of asses making a big deal about nothing. If they wanted to present “news” they would have done a story about the beautiful nightly run and show the music and dancing that usually accompanies this ritual. But no, that would just be too classy.

      ***********
Neither is that comma you put after ‘no,’ but who is counting? :)
A random poster beginning a sentence with No in this forum’s informal dialogue context is perfectly acceptable.
The forum host posting articles with obvious spelling errors and sentences that do not make sense is not acceptable.
      See the difference?
