There Is 1991 Video of Herman Cain Singing John Lennon‘s ’Imagine’ (With a Pizza Twist)

Herman Cain Sings John Lennons Imagine With Pizza Twist

CNN:

However you slice it, this is pretty awesomely cheesy. The Omaha World-Herald served up a clip of GOP presidential hopeful and former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain crooning a re-vamped version of John Lennon’s “Imagine” entitled “Imagine There’s No Pizza” at the 1991 Omaha Press Club meeting.

The Omaha News-Herald discovered the video, and since its release Twitter has gone wild with #HermanCainPizzaJams suggestions. Some Favorites:

    Yea, I saw O’Reilly play this clip after talking about Cain on The Factor tonight. He did it in an effort to make him look foolish. At least Cain has a sense of humor, even if some don’t get it. He is comfortable in his own skin and making jokes and doing goofy stuff for laughs is part of his personality.

    So what O’Reilly!!! Your not picking who I vote for you jerk!! You can kiss my lilly white butt!!
    This stuff will only get worse with Cain. Especially cause he’s black.

    I caught a couple of interviews with Cain this weekend. The more I listen, the more I like him!
    And I’m glad he has a sense of humor………………….

      You need to do more than listen to him speak. I agree he is a good speaker but you really need to do more homework. As for 999, everyone but a few will be paying more in taxes. Want to see how 999 works? Go check out SimCity that’s where his “economic advisor” got it. It‘s not workable and hasn’t been scored properly by anybody. Another week or two under the microscope and all the hyperbole will fall away facts will be revealed and he’ll crash like the Hindenberg.

      I hear you. I really like the man, but I don’t like the plan. Cain went out on a limb with his 999 Plan. While it was catchy and gave him the momentum he badly needed, it provides very little wiggle room, a sine qua non of effective campaigning. Running on a simple plan at this stage is risky, because just one weak point or flaw will render it and the candidate behind it politically dead. This is especially true of Republicans, who must compete not only against the Democratic incuumbent but also against a very hostile fringe media.

      Let’s face it, Cain’s plan is shaky, and that sucks because it means we’ll probably have to go with Romney or die — maybe both.

      I believe everyone should have some skin in the game. I pay my taxes. I seldom get a refund. I put the number of people on my W-4 that I will be claiming on my taxes. Last year I had to pay $39 above what they took out. I call that breaking even. I don’t get thousands back. There are 47% of the population that gets all they put in (or more than they put in) back. They have no skin in the game. Of course they’re not going to vote for someone who actually makes them pay taxes.

      I love Herman Cain and the 9-9-9 plan, it will work. Just the thought of dissolving the tax code is a dream come true. The current tax code has more to do with social enginneering than it does to generating revenue.

      The Current Tax Code vs. Herman Cain’s 999 Plan

      Base income
      Now = $50000
      999 = $53825

      Amount spent on non-taxable items = $5000
      Amount not spent (put in savings) = $5000
      Amount donated to charity = $5000

      999 sales tax rate = 9%
      999 income tax rate = 9%

      Federal taxes
      Sales tax = $2843
      Income tax = $4394

      Total federal taxes = $7237

      999 after tax income = $46588

      999 effective tax rate = 13.45%

      The 15.3% payroll tax is eliminated under the 999 plan. If you get a paycheck from an employer, then your employer pays half of your payroll taxes behind the scenes. It‘s part of your pay that’s hidden from you in the current system. Yes, your take home pay will go up under the 9-9-9 plan by 7.65%. If you checked yes on the calculator, it was added to your current income number (which is why the 999 income number is higher).

      This 999 calculator can be found at http://www.nerds4cain.com

      Unfortunately, Loriann, not everyone may have ‘skin in the game’. Cain also creates ‘empowerment zones’ with the SimCity4 999 plan. People living in those zones may be exempt from paying, or maybe pay very little.

      Good post. I‘m no O’Reilly fan. I didn’t see the clip, but doing something to make Cain look out of place is something I can certainly see O‘Reilly doing since he thinks Cain shouldn’t be taken seriously. And you’re right, this is only the beginning. The sad part is, some of the insults will be coming from establishment Republicans. These people think this country belongs to career politicians. They’re wrong, this country belongs to regular folks like us . . . and Herman Cain is one of us and they can’t stand it.

      @RASHANAL MAN
      You think too highly of yourself. You’re just an attention starved dunce.

      Cain is a Romney supporting, TARP/ bailout supporting, Federal Reserve puppet, that thinks the economy is alike a value menu at a fast food restaurant. He’s just full of one liners, and zingers. When you dig deeper, he doesn’t have a clue.
      Just like he didn’t see the financial collapse coming in 2005 and 2008. He laughed at the others who were trying to sound the alarm.
      What makes people think he has any foresight now? He doesn’t.
      He’s just a pacifier for the Tea Party people, who are tired of being accused of being racists.

      When he drops out, he will endorse Romney, who he endorsed in 2008. Neither ONE of them have a clue.
      The Federal Reserve is the SOURCE of the problem, and Cain thinking he is going to “fix it” is asinine.
      The Fed, is not some manager at Burger King that you can “call” when your fries are cold. They are a cancer that was established in 1913, and has been eating away the insides of this country since its inception.

      I, too, like Herman Cain. It is amazing to me how many people make fun of him because he brought such success to a pizza company. So he didn’t get out and organize a bunch of bums and pay them to protest any and everything. He is successful. Charles Payne is another black man who is successful due to his own hard work. He, also, is a target of liberals. They are afraid that black youth may see that it is possible to get ahead in this country without the Fed doling out your stipend. Hard work pays off; liberals are terrified that minorities will catch on and stop voting Democrat.
