These Are the New MSNBC ‘Lean Forward’ Ads That Celebrate the Left

Remember when MSNBC launched its “Lean Forward” campaign last fall? While it didn’t overtly trumpet Leftists positions, the ads seemed to be an embrace of the caricature that the network is a mouthpiece for liberals. Well, now we can brush aside all questions about whether that was true — the campaign’s new ads show it really is a campaign meant to embrace leftist positions.

In the series of new ads debuting today, the network features several of its popular personalities opining about everything from the bloated rich to Obamacare not being liberal enough. Yes, you read that right.

“The older ads were subtle compared to the latest batch which beat you over the head with their liberal take on major political issues,” Newsbusters’ Ken Shepherd explains.

You can view them below.

First, there’s the networks favorite, and self-described, socialist Lawrence O’Donnel complaining about the not-liberal-enough Obamacare and calling for a “global solution:”

Next is Chris Matthews making the outrageous statement that Republicans will not claim that Obama is as American as they are. That seems to be a shot at the birther talk touted by Donald Trump. But what Matthews fails to mention is that many have affirmed Obama’s citizenship:

There’s the fiery Ed Schultz railing against big business:

And finally, Rachel Maddow trumpeting the idea that America really isn’t broke, and seemingly accusing those who think so of believing America isn’t great:

Expect to be subjected to the ads even if you don’t want MSNBC. Mediaite reports the Spike Lee-directed spots will appear in movie theaters this summer.

    No one watches this channel….I was at a visiting room in the hospital they had it on, I told them to change that crap or turn it off……they changed the channel.

      They are all bias, but the problem is the mainstream lies, and lies by omission all the time. They continue to blame the oil prices on middle east unrest, and Obama is trying to blame price gauging, etc. What a joke. The FACTS are:
      1.QE2 devalued the dollar. Saudis, etc. raised to compensate the difference.
      2.Obama is anti-oil, anti-drilling.
      3 Obama is using the EPA to prevent drilling.
      4.Obama has been fanning the flames in the middle east, (and ******* off SA), and not to mention – nobody better mention – attacking Lybia. So this portion of the reason is partly due to his actions.
      5. Even higher oil prices coming – another 300 billion bucks of money being printed soon, further devaluing the dollar.
      6. Inflation will continue to rise thanks to all of the above
