These Charts Showing What People Are Searching on Google are Worrisome

You can learn a lot about what‘s on people’s minds by knowing what information they are searching for on the Internet. So what are people all across the globe searching for in droves? “Bank run.”

The econ blog Zero Hedge explains why that’s potentially concerning:

The volume of searches for the phrase ‘Bank Run’ has just hit an all-time high – higher now than even during the peak of the Lehman Brothers ‘moment’. While English dominates the language choices, the Europeans (Dutch, Germans, and French) are extremely ‘interested’ as are the Chinese [...] . It seems the fears of real ‘bank runs’ are becoming virtually ‘viral’ – not a good sign for the stability of the fictional-reserve-banking-dependent status quo. [Emphasis theirs]

That’s a little disheartening. There’s not a direct correlation between search term and actual event. But the fact that so many people across the world are reading up on “bank run” is interesting at best and downright worrisome at worst.

Mr. Choom has been selling that since running up trillion dollar deficits and stealing retirement account money (actually they just borrowed it and forgot to pay it back – permanently).       This will only end in one of two ways, bank run or no bank run. If there is a bank run, you’re an idiot. If there isn’t, people will be more knowledgable about things that in the end make them more informed. Think about that: either you’re an idiot or you want people to be kept in the dark.

      How does this make you a better person? From my standpoint, looks like you’re a political hack more than anything else.

    Once folks realize that all a monetary note is is paper with a little ink and a governments backing, then folks will be very afraid. There are only 3 things the Word says are necessary and God will provide them if you believe in Him: Food, Clothing, and Shelter. That should be a hint as to what you should amass. Even gold won’t do you any good unless you can find someone willing to trade you something for it. You need food, water, and defendable land for starters. Then, shelter and clothing, and if lucky, transportation. Fuel should be considered, but usually it’s the last thing of folks minds. I’m so ill prepared, that when the crash becomes, I won’t last long, but hopefully, some good folk here are ready. :)

      You are correct in that people are not prepared. Storage food is still relatively inexpensive. Silver is still relatively inexpensive. People have a lot of money in their 401(k)s and retirement plans, stocks and bonds. Sell them while they are still worth something and stock up on FOOD (at least a year’s supply), then SILVER coins, then maybe some Gold, then some place to get away if necessary, and last of all, a gun and ammo and training if you need it.

      You’ll need to change your thinking first of all. If you think things will continue as they are, you‘ll make terrible mistakes that you won’t be able to recover from.

      Seriously folks, it‘s almost too late to get these things and YOU’LL NEED THEM shortly. Get them while you can still afford them. A year from now will probably be TOO LATE.

      Find yourself a couple of acres near a small town. The mid-west is full of palces to live and be safe. Those pimples on society’s @ss from the larger urban areas will have eaten each other in the first year. Have water filtration, dehydrated food, guns and ammo (and know how to use them), some silver or gold and brush up on farming and canning. The productive will be fine.

      This is pure ignorance…..

      When Chairman Bernanke “prints money”, then he is using that newly created money to buy U.S. treasury notes with it…

      This has the effect of driving down interest rates (when demand for the dollar is up, then interest rates go in the opposite direction)

      A rise in interest rates is generally BAD for folks presently holding political office, because a credit contraction such as this has generally caused a recession afterward and it causes people currently in power to lose their elected offices.

      Both Republicans and Democrats are acutely aware of this phenomenon and that’s why neither side ever wants to see a rise in interest rates….

      However, this has a very BAD side effect. Recessions are a necessary part of capitalism and its nature’s way of clearing away the bad entities to make more room for growth for the good entities. Unfortunately, if you stop recessions from happening altogether then you‘re gonna’ eventually get one anyway….but it’ll be SEVERE in nature (like the Mortgage Meltdown of 2008 for instance.)

      I’m 26 years old. I pay attention to the Constitutional record.
      You don’t support the Constitution, not by words but by policy, then you don’t get my support.
      I don‘t know if you fall into this catagory but most of the older generation take Fox news for their word and don’t look any further than that. Romney used to be a Dem.
      He used to support planned parenthood. Romney supports NDAA and the Patriot act.
      He supports assualt rifle bans and tax subsidized healthcare.
      Romney supports big wars.

      Meanwhile, my generation are either busy supporting the true Constitutional candidate or they are marching on wall street attacking the wrong group. We are so divided and the salvation of our country is right in front of our eyes (the Constitution). With it there is no division.
      We have the right wanting to dictate what vices people are allowed/not allowed and we have the left wanting all the handouts. Both parties apparently support big un-Constitutional WARS.
      The individual is what the Constitution is all about but we have allowed ourselves to become a collective. Romney, Obama, Clinton, Bush; They are all the same! When do we quit electing the lesser of two evils? When do we elect somebody with the record to prove their Constitutionality?
      The Republicans and the Democrats are so blinded by their own party it is unbelievable.

      I agree with you. I believe that the TEA PARTY is growing larger than anyone will admit. I still pray for a brokered convention and then Americans will nominate the candidate. The chances for that are less than 1%. It’s that bad.

      I’m hoping for the convention to change this whole election. The bad thing though is the Republicans are so ready for “anybody but Obama” that they will elect somebody that is just like him!
      The blinders are on and the sheep will follow the R off the cliff if that is where we are lead.
      If Romney is nominated at the convention; The Republicans will have forever lost my support.
      I will vote my concience per the Constitution. I will choose liberty over safety for the rest of my life!
      Utopia cannot be achieved by Republican or Democrat standards. The world is and always will be imperfect. I choose freedom over all else!

      If they told you the real truth it would be a violation of security and ethics.Only those no longer employed in the financial sector can do that.The melt down occured due to improper banking including backing of securties with funds drawn on the Bank of Mellon.This bank is a subsidiary of the Bank of Iran.Thats right a blocked country actually was indirectly securing some of the debt held by investors.[Including morgages which were used as collateral[.No this isn’t a joke nor am I breaking any law by telling you this unlike your advisor who might have been.Furthermore many of them don’t even know.The reason I do is that I was researcing another company when I came across it.The company was associated with a investment company called ARCAPITA.Google it then cringe.

      If Romney gets in or Obama (GOD forbid) We the people can and will hold the administration responsible. Also, remember that there is the Congress that controls the spending and it is the Supreme Court that interprets the constitution and law. Our Founding farther’s were pretty smart dudes
      don’t give up yet – but be prepared to fight and I mean fight to keep this country free and not a part of some new UN world order. Also, we could start referendums for an amendment to the constitution for things like term limits/balance budgets etc. I am an old fart – you are the young lions don’t fail my grand children

    As I have come to believe; there will be one of two trigger points for a global collapse: Greece or China…especially China. There have been stories the last year in the India Times of downward pressure on the Chinese economy, massive stimulus programs having failed, massive debt and now the development of new electrical stations and distribution networks are at 0% growth; which indicates their economy is constricting.

    China’s days may be numbered.

I have heard through reliable sources that large numbers of military are being moved into cities and towns all over the states…a booking agent for one of the airlines asked a military man what was going on…he said “I don’t know, just do what I’m told” I have some well connected people looking into this…if true, I can’t imagine not knowing about it nationally, and soon.

      I was listening to Rand Paul on Hugh Hewitt last night, saying that the Paul Ryan budget plan is not enough to do the job; it would take some really dramatic deep cut budget to make a difference in our lifetimes – and that requires a President, Senate, House, and Supreme Court who are committed to such a complete change in course. Otherwise, he said, we will eventually go off a financial cliff and there is no way of ever getting back. Frankly, I’m not optimistic. Too many irons in the fire, and it’s kind of like turning a battleship at full speed around in a marina!

    I guess listening to Glenn about food storage isn’t a joke. I started storing food based on his well educated information and research I conducted. I also for the last few years have made sure my family is able to defend themselves against anyone that may try to harm them.
