They’re Back! Wisc. Dems Who Fled Senate Quietly Return

The AP:

Wisconsin’s Democratic state senators returned to work Tuesday with little fanfare, a stark contrast to the scene in February when their dramatic decision to flee the state in protest over an anti-union bill helped fuel massive protests that made the state the center of a national fight over union rights.

The 14 Democrats left for Illinois with no warning on Feb. 17, leaving the Senate with one too few members to vote on the bill. Finally on March 9, Republicans removed some financial provisions from the bill so they could pass it with a lower quorum and no Democrats present. The Democrats returned to Wisconsin in March to participate in a massive rally the day after Gov. Scott Walker signed the bill into law.

Theyre Back! Wisc. Dems Who Fled Senate Quietly Return

The AP adds: “The law is now tied up in court and hasn’t gone into effect. It would require most state employees to pay more for health care and pension benefits while taking away all of their collective bargaining rights except over salary increases.”

Are these guys gonna bolt town every time they disagree with an issue. Its like a child holding his breath till they get their way. This type of tactic cannot be accepted. The very next law that needs to be passed in Wisc. Is that if you leave your job without just cause for more than 3 days you no longer have a job to return to.

I blame the citizens of Wisconsin who blindly went to the polls, if they researched Walker, he wouldnt have been elected. His failure throughout his life has only made him a worse leader. I hope I fail out of my university and get elected into office because of daddies thick pocket book….

Thats nice. Education needs to come first. Work can wait. Then again, you would think the son of a preacher would have a better sense of what is right and wrong. Go figure.

Maybe I am an idiot for wanting my children to have an education. Maybe Im an idiot for supporting the hard working middle class because they make this country move forward. Im fine with being an idiot then. Because I will eventually get my rights in their entirety. So will my children.

If I bring up a rights issue, half the people I know whip out the Constitution or the Deceleration or some other piece of our terrible history and eave it in my face. Hows that different? Also Sparky, no one should be judged by the car they drive or anything like that. There is no such thing as a real man or anything like that. Gender is fluid. Not only that, but one who says they are a “true man” or “real man” only reaffirm their own insecurities in their sexuality and gender identity.

The dems behavior was absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed to show their scumbag faces in public. While we’re on the subject, it’s time the public sector union members to start paying for their benefits they way we real Americans have to. Coldwar,
Naturally the US is broke. Why? Because the US think that it is “American” and “Right” to stick our nose into other people’s business and tell them it is the right way to do things when in all reality we have no idea what we are doing as a nation. Its not our business. If we dont wanna be broke, allow gay marriage, protect the unions that keep pay steady and fair, and pull out of all the countries around the world that we have no business being in. The US is no superior figure, we are all apart of the same beast these days so why not focus on all of our own nations issues rather than everyone elses.

Out of curiousity, you continue to say “real American”. What the hell is that? Everyone that is an American citizen, no matter how they conduct themselves. You cant say that someone isnt a real American because they conduct themselves or believe in other things than you. Thats just closed minded.

I agree. They abandoned their responsibility. Whether they like it or not they should be there to vote on the bills. They were acting like spoiled children.

      @REVERE1

Honor and shame are two concepts that liberal, progressive Democrats do not have nor are they likely to be able to understand what they mean. This country can only return to it’s former greatness when both Republican and Democrat are thrown onto the trash heap of failed history. A plague on both parties.

Good now round them up fine them for being MIA, hold them in contempt and for obstruction of justice and legal proceedings. Also most importantly an immediate investigation should be launched to see what funds they used to be on the lam! If they in fact used state funds regardless if it was $1 to $10′ even $100′s or $1000′s they should face criminal charges for embezzlement!!!

Amendments need to be created that any politician who blatantly leaves the state as they have done is illegal, they will face heavy fines, forfeit ttheir vote to where a vote will go on without them and if so severe they can be expelled from their political seat that will remain unfilled until the next election.
Yes this last point could/will punish their constituents but THEY too are to blame for electing someone who is so off/ unstable/ unreliable and in fact a threat to the democratic process of the republic!

Get rid of these spoiled brats. How embarrassing. The unions think it’s cool to flip off the voters, and these guys are just being led around, doing what they’re told–being made to think they’re important.

Would these cowards have approved of Repubs using this very same tactic to avoid voting on Obamacare? I think not. Only Dems/Progressives can run and hide without remorse. There’s probably a yellow streak running down their backs if anyone cared enough to look.

Wish that my state senator would go away… permanently. But in the liberal stronghold of Milwaukee, the dummies re-elect people based solely on skin color. Coggs, along with Gwen Moore have lifetime positions.

And I say start the impeachment proceedings against them! They are not fit to represent the cats and dogs, let alone the citizens of the great state of Wisconsin! Like rats deserting the proverbial sinking ship, they ran like jack-rabbits at the first sign of trouble; that is not what I would want out of MY elected officials!!! Impeachment and expulsion for each and every member of the Wisconsin Congress that left the state that day! Business is NOT CONDUCTED that way in the United States of America, and if it starts being conducted that way, it’s time to kiss the republic goodbye!!!

I think the fourteen Demon Rats should be told to leave Wisconsin or face jail time. Personally I’d like to see them locked behind bars. But if they were permanently exiled I’d be almost as happy. Let the civil war begin. It is only a matter of time.

Can you believe what the Democratic (PROGRESSIVE) party has become? As I look at and hear what most within the party are saying it can’t sit well with the American people. We all have our faults, but progressives (on both sides of the isle) seem to exhibit and promote the very traits that most good people would try and teach their children to avoid. For example:

1.) Most good people would try to teach their children to love others and to respect their property.
Progressive dems seem to want to stir anger and hatred from one to another and try to get people to damage others property or act violently in the streets (cause chaos). ex. Cloward and Piven, Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky, The Coming Insurrection – great reading for the up and coming progressive

2.) Most good people would try to teach their children to accept responsibility whether they like it or not. Progressive dems seem to want to run away from their responsibilities if they don’t agree with the outcome. Ex. See Wisconsin

3.) Most good people would try and teach their children not to blame others for their problems. Progressive dems from top to bottom are ALWAYS looking to point the finger at someone else. In addition, they seem to try and promote this thinking to their constituency. “It‘s always someone else’s fault.” Ex. – Listen to president Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid, or any other progressive sound bite for approx. 30 seconds and I’ll bet you will hear at least 5 examples of this. O.K. maybe I’m exagerating a little with 5 examples in 30 secs)

These are only a few of the reasons why the American people are turning against POS ideology on both sides of the isle. I mean, do YOU really want your children to grow up and act like this. I don’t think Americans are going to accept this BS anymore.

HONOR, LOVE, TRUTH, JOY, HAPPINESS, PATIENCE, HUMILITY. Let me ask this. Do you see these characteristics in the democratic progressive leader of today?
